First doctor I saw was for a viral infection that wreaked havoc on every sinus. While she couldn’t give me anything other than steroids to fight it, I’ll mark her for most competent out of the three I saw. I went back in a month because the virus was still acting up and was told «should’ve just taken medicine to begin with as this is what happens when you don’t». Even after I explained I had taken DayQuil on top of the steroids prescribed, the second Doctor insisted I didn’t know what I was talking about and shoved a pamphlet about the importance of medicine into my hands. She was very unprofessional. The third physician (whom I had to request in order to avoid the second) prescribed me eye drops that were $ 235 WITH my insurance. It was just the final straw. Their billing system is weird, too. I wouldn’t go back again. It’s a shame it was the first establishment I knew of on the south shore for walk in clinics.

Changing my doctor. I have called in a refill for my prescription to go to cvs caremark because blue cross doesnt cover it from the retail pharmacy anymore. I have been paying out of pocket for my weekly refill to the pharmacy that they send me, but they still havent called ot to where it should have been. I have spoken to them over the phone numerous times and I went in for a visit and told them also. Still nothing. I live paycheck to paycheck. This is so wrong to make someone buy their meds because no one is responsible enough to do what I ask.

Nice doctors

I chose this place because I wanted to have a doctor’s office local to my home. I have several long term health issues, and I liked the idea of their urgent care department. The urgent care could have better hours, because I tend to get really sick/​have crazy small emergencies of course when they’re closed… But nonetheless, this location is extremely convenient. I had Dr. Shah in the Family Practice office for a few months, and I did NOT like him at all. I felt that he never listened to me, and never really addressed my questions properly. I recently switched to Dr. Denise Brown, and so far she has been WONDERFUL. She sits down, I do not feel rushed, she explains to me in detail what is going on, and she is very pleasant. Recently, I have had a few major health scares, and I have had to use their Brigham and Women’s MRI office. WONDERFUL. Everyone was so pleasant, the tech was great, she did a fantastic job getting me comfortable, and explaining to me the process of an MRI. I have also had to have an ultrasound, and again, this tech was sweet as pie. The radiologist even came in and watched the whole thing, and at the end, I had answers immediately, and didn’t even have to wait for a letter in the mail! I will continue my care at Compass, and I recommend Dr. Denise Brown in Family Practice.

I had to have an MRI done here for a sports injury. I was really nervous going in because I’d never had an MRI before. The building and facilities are really nice, modern, and very clean. The staff in the Imaging Dept. were very friendly. You change in a private area and lock up all of your personal belongings. The MRI itself was alright, basically you’re stuffed in a magnetic tube that makes a lot of noise and are told not to move for 20 minutes. However, the imaging tech was great, she made me feel really comfortable, let me know what to expect, and just generally made the experience a lot less anxiety-​provoking. Afterward they give you a CD of your images to review with your doctor, very convenient!
