Good small at home atmosphere. I wasn’t a fan of most of their wines, but their crush wine(sweeter wine) hit the spot near the end of the tasting. Have discounts when you buy multiple bottles and have events on Sundays during the summer. Came on a Saturday so I missed out.

One Sunday a month during the summer, Flint Hill Vineyards has music, wine, and wood fire pizzas. What more could a girl want? You get to sit outside and listen to great music, drink good wine, and eat delicious freshly made pizza. My friend and I split a pepperoni pizza and a bottle of white wine. Then we split a dessert chocolate pizza with some friends-that was heavenly. Definitely go and visit Flint Hill!

I’ve visited Flint Hill three out of the past four years. The house that the tasting room is in reminds me of a simply classic bed and breakfast. I love the landscaping outside around the trellis and the long front porch with the rocking chairs. There are other areas on the property(little charming nooks) that are also perfect to sit at with a small group of friends and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. The tastings have always been personable. Usually there are about five dry wines and 2 semi-sweet. The Crushed Velvet is my favorite semi-sweet wine. The serving of a piece dark chocolate with the Crushed Velvet wine is perfect.

We stopped in here for a tasting and lunch, but were dismayed to discover the restaurant was closed for renovations. Nevertheless, the wine is good, though rather dry for my taste. The owner recommended Sanders Ridge lunch an we were not disappointed. I’ll watch their website and make sure I return when they reopen the restaurant.

Get out your GPS! This has a beautiful country location, authentic décor and excellent service. The wine was very good(we had the last of a good year of cab). We both had the specials and they were interesting(braised beef ribs with a cherry chocolate demi-glaze and fresh coastal fish in a pepper sauce) and excellent. The portions were moderate and left room for a wonderful fruit crêpe. Extra points for dishes that were adventurous by comparison and well done. Make reservations and ask for the porch if the weather is nice(they get taken quick). Failing that ask for the Junior Johnson bay window table! This is going to become a regular place for us.
