In for a family birthday dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Our server was attentive. Restaurant is tired. Food was mediocre at best. The best thing we ate was our salad which was fresh and even served with radishes. All our meals were lukewarm. The seafood chowder had an odd flavor almost like nutmeg or clove. The vegetable dish that accompanied our chicken dinners was some sort of mixed vegetable in tomato sauce; it was unpleasant & even our waitress said that it had been uneaten by every customer. This restaurant needs a refresh and kitchen staff who care about what they’re sending out. I’ve been here before, although its been awhile, and was always pleased with the food. We all said we would not return which is sad for this iconic East Aurora landmark.

I had the roast beef dinner special(w/mashed potatoes), and it was one of the tastiest I’ve had. Beef was plentiful and swimming in rich gravy. We had 8 in our party and service was great(although about empty on a Tuesday evening). Seems the specials were the winners in our group.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. Restaurant is incredibly clean, but that’s about all it has going! I shouldn’t have had really high expectations, but food just seemed generic, was originally frozen, etc. — you just couldn’t taste any love in it if that makes sense. Waitress had a kind of gross smokers voice and cough and didn’t smile :/

Had a quick Sunday dinner before the movie at 5. Got there around 3:30 and we were out in a timely hour and in time to walk to the movie! Service was attentive, food was good. There was one server that was loud at times in the serving station that you could hear throughout the dining area… otherwise an ok experience.

I came here for a quick snack while visiting East Aurora and though the food was good, I was not totally impressed with it. The atmosphere was super outdated. Between the wood paneling, old style chairs, and the dark interior, Tony Rome’s seemed dull and depressing. I ordered some mozzarella sticks. They weren’t anything special and the dipping sauce wasn’t that great either. The service was fast and we were in and out within a half hour. I would be willing to give Tony Romes another chance for a full meal. While it wasn’t horrible, it wasn’t the best restaurant I ever been to. The atmosphere definitely should be updated.

Everything started out well we were seated right away and got a nice table outside. Our waitress came right out and took our drink orders. We received our drink orders fairly quickly and then she took our food order. We waited a while for our appetizers a soup and salad and when we finally received them we were not impressed. My salad was drenched with dressing and very bland. My friend ordered the French onion soup which was alright. After our appetizers we wanted another drink however our waitress never came back to check on us. We waited quite a while to receive our entrees. I ordered the lasagna and my friend ordered the raviolis. My lasagna was dry and bland. I took a couple of bites and could not eat the rest. My friends raviolis were bland as well. When asked about our meals we told the waitress that our food was bland. She offered to take our meals off the check which we accepted. When we received our check she charged us for our drinks and the salad and soup that we had even though they were part of our meal. I was charged $ 6 for a side salad that was supposed to be part of my meal. I just paid my overpriced bill and ran out of the restaurants very disappointing!

I’ve had a better experience at this restaurant. First of all, the service was sub pair, it seemed to take longer to get our food, and other people were getting our food before us who sat down after. I ordered the baked ravioli with meatballs, and French Onion soup. The soup was alright, nothing special. But the ravioli had too much cheese, and the meatball and sauce had little if any seasoning. They took the our dinner off the bill, but we had to pay for the soup that supposedly came with the meal and the drinks too.

Normally I don’t start off with the price for food at a restaurant as a key feature. After all, you can find some very low-priced food at fast-food places, but the meal might not be that good. If you want a decent meal, you ought to be willing to pay a reasonable price. However, price and value are components of the lunch specials at Tony Rome’s. They offer a selection of meals for $ 5 at lunch time. The meals include such items as a chicken sausage sandwich, a small beef on weck sandwich, chicken fingers, two hot dogs(Sahlen’s, no less), and some other items that I don’t recall. I had the sausage sandwich, and my wife had the chicken finger(called wing sliders). Both of us thought the food was excellent and quite filling. Each meal came with a side of excellent home-made potato chips. You can upgrade to fries for more money but don’t need to do so. You might think that the meal is a good price based on the food alone, and it is a good value. What makes it better is that the price also includes a cola or tea, as opposed to adding another $ 2. That makes for a good deal. All would be in vain if the food is no good. However, the meals are quite good and decent in portion size. You won’t be looking for a second meal after eating lunch, unless you generate an appetite walking the streets of East Aurora — which is possible. Tony Rome’s also offers a dinner menu and other options for lunch, and I need to check them out sometime. For now, lunch is a great deal.

We were in town to check out the shops and asked one of the shop owners for a good place to eat lunch. She recommended this place. We went and were not disappointed. They had a wide variety of selections, but the attraction was their«lunch baskets» My wife had the bacon mushroom sliders and I had the buffalo chicken sliders. We substitued fries for the chips, and both had a soft drink. Our food was fantastic, the service was great, and the bill for both of us came to only $ 13.

Went there for the first time on Saturday night, November 22. Was in town visiting the in-laws in Orchard Park, and we went there for dinner. The ribs — their signature dish — were amazingly good. Fall off the bone tender with a solid BBQ sauce. Their stuffed peppers appetizer was also very good. Good service, old school charm. I would definitely go back for dinner again or even drinks at the bar. A neighborhood gem.

We went here for lunch. The prices were decent however they hammer you for simple things like garlic bread with the spaghetti which was $ 5 mind you. We sat outside so can’t really speak for the atmosphere inside. I had a Kicked Up Grilled cheese which was really quite good. Also had a cup of French onion soup which was excellent but lacked a little salt. All in all, I was happy for a lunch.

Lunch for 4.99– includes a soft drink and chips and a pickle, there’s over 10 options to choose from. The service is always fast if you’re in a rush and the food is always great!

Smells like urine inside the restaurant. We wanted to take advantage of the half off appetizers by sitting in the bar. Unfortunately there was no room so we got a table. Asked the waitress who took over our table because the other gentleman server seemed annoyed we sat in his section if we could still get half off apps. She said no that was only in the bar, but it was full. Really? Told us she would ask a patron to move down so we could sit at the bar, but who wants to ask someone to move down? Can’t get me the same deal because I’m sitting in a different section? Ridiculous! Never again until they get rid of the urine smell.

Honestly I dont expect much when I visit my parents in Buffalo but they took me to lunch here and it was pretty good. The bartender was friendly, funny & helpful when it came to ordering. Its very dark, gloomy and a bit out dated so I wasnt sure how the food was gonna be but for the most part it was actually a nice lunch. We had half priced clams and stuffed mushrooms for happy hour. I ordered the petite filet and mashed potatoes which was very good and filling. My dad got ravioli which he enjoyed as well. All in all it was good enough where I wouldn’t object going back on my next visit. I do however find the name kind of funny. Being a native New Yorker(NYC) I grew up with a place called Tony Roma’s so walking into this place I couldn’t help but reference the movie Coming to America because this seemed like a McDowells/McDonalads type sitch.

My husband and I went here one night when all the other restaurants were busy and had long waits. We sat outside on the front patio and I couldn’t understand why it was so dead at this restaurant. Well after sitting outside for a little while I soon was realized that they had a bus boy station set up right next to our table and it was attracting lots of bugs. After having bees flying around us we decided to move to another table. I can see having a station where there can be place settings stored but when your dumping leftover food and dirty plates there to attract bugs, its not so welcoming. It wasn’t like this place was slammed that they couldn’t take the plates and food inside. So we got our food and both were enjoying it and not even half way through our dinner my husband notices that there was a piece of hair(black and curly) that was smooched into this fries. At that point we both lost our appetite and wanted nothing more from this restaurant. We notified the waitress who seemed disgusted herself. She told us that they will take off my husbands meal from the bill but not mine. Note yes nothing was wrong with my food at least not that I was aware of. But why would I want to eat my food after seeing the hair. So manager comes out and speaks with us. She was in denial the whole time saying it wasn’t anyone in the kitchen and it couldn’t have happened. Fries cook in hot oil so the hair wouldn’t have lasted in it. So the hair appeared as it was being plated before being served. The manager explained that since nothing was wrong with my food I still had to pay for it but they will not charge for my husbands meal or his beer. Well nothing was wrong with the beer but she had no problem taking it off the bill. The manager walked away with the same attitude that she had when she first walked over. I will make sure to never go here again. Now I know why that this place wasn’t busy on a weekend night. It’s disgusting and the staff are disrespectful.

Was visiting family and they visit this place often. I got a Beef on Weck and it was good, not great. We just stopped in for lunch so no complaints.

I have been here three times because the ambience is kind of cool and I like the location… but I’m sorry to say the food has always been pretty bad, and I just can’t give it any more chances.

Not trying to be a party pooper, but this place deserves a one star only. Came here for lunch(hindsight is 20/20, right?). The place looks outdated, both inside and out. Was totally expecting patrons to be sporting mullets with MC Hammer pants, neon colors, leg warmers, and/or fingerless gloves. Garden Salad was an eeeeeeeek. The greens were not fresh at all. I try to eat a salad w every meal, but I could not finish it as it was just too gross. Chicken Wings were so watery(they must buy a lot of meat and just throw it in the freezer until there’s a time to use it). Once again another eeeeeeeeeeeeeek. My Diet Coke was so watered down that I felt as I was drinking brown water. If I told someone I was drinking mud, they would believe me. I wasn’t too impressed w the service. Our server barely came to our table. I’m convinced that TR uses ‘bottomless soda’ to lure in customers, knowing that their servers barely go to the table so refilling of drinks doesn’t happen. A solid one star.

I visit Tony Rome’s whenever I am in East Aurora. My favorite dish is the mesquite chicken with caesar salad. Their caesar dressing is astonishing! I have yet to taste another that even comes close! And lets not forget about the croutons! They must be homemade! A delightful dish indeed! They have a similar dish, but with shrimp instead. I do not care for shrimp salad because they do not shell their shrimp. I hate having to dig at my food with my fingers. But that is a common trend in restaurants. The lighting is dim, but the company is nice. I can’t see anyone not liking Tony Rome’s. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly.
