This place is hit or miss for me. A few times I’ve had the«we aren’t seating right now because the kitchen it behind». Umm that’s new, especially when you’re not busy. I sort of feel like they short pour their drinks but maybe it’s just my perception. They were hospitable on music night when they made our group a couple orders of fries despite initially saying the kitchen had just closed. Much appreciated! I need to go back and actually try dinner again.

absolutely the worst service ever, waiter was more concerned with chating with his homies than taking care of us. French onion soup was all broth, corned beef was pre cooked bottom round crap, fries were cold. begged for 2nd beer and got it 17 minutes later when waiter was done«smoking and jokin» with his boys. when we complained not one person in a management position showed at our table. This place made me feel welcome the minute I came to town. I love all the staff but especially Cindy, Babe and Chase. My husband and I fell in love here and will never forget it. The food is also amazing. Best chicken wings ever and ask for the homemaker blue cheese dressing mmmmm

Well, we have come here many times before and had a great experience. Except this time, we had four people at our table, two of us got truffle fires instead of normal fries with our meals. Our waitress said nothing to us about any upgrade charge so we figured it MIGHT be a dollar or two upgrade, no big deal. When we got our check we had a $ 7 charge for the fries. This would have been fine if our waitress would have told us before hand. But she addressed the issue by saying: «This might sound bad but I’m going to say it anyways. Don’t assume they weren’t extra. Sometimes I tell people sometimes I don’t.» She was very rude about it and we wish it would’ve been different. We won’t be back for a while.

For special occasions, we always like to try someplace new. This time it was for our anniversary and we chose Riley Street. It was a good dinner and the atmosphere is fantastic. An old train station, it was decorated in a way that made me feel it was much more hip and modern than the town it rested in. The food was good. It wasn’t excellent… but good. We had the ham & bean soup as a small appetizer and it was delicious. The food is not as fancy as the décor or uniforms of the staff suggest. Fries, burgers & salads seemed to fill half of the menu and I was a little put off by the prices of this«upscale» bar food. Nevertheless, we would choose it again if in the area.

Wow! Stopped in the other night after hearing nothing but good things and I was amazed! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The wings, beef on weck and specialty beers were fantastic! We were able to watch the hockey game drink great beer and eat amazing food with great company. The bartender knew what we wanted before we did, she was fantastic! Such a great place, it will be our new go to spot to watch a game or have a nice sit down meal!

The food was good but not outstanding. The wait staff were very friendly. I thought the prices were excessive for the quality.

If you’re here just for drinks, the bar seemed decent. Food was sub par. Chicken was very dry. Pizza didn’t taste fresh. We had a party of 8 and the hostess refused to seat us in the back dining area for some reason even though multiple tables were open. Our waitress Sam was very nice which is why I gave them a 2nd star.

I love the atmosphere here; unpretentious, friendly, neighborly, relaxed. The history behind the location is also very interesting(train station). Unfortunately, the food just isn’t that great. Definitely not work the price. My date ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp. It came out with chicken. She’s a vegetarian so she asked that they simply give her a plain salad, don’t worry about the shrimp. They took the salad back and picked off the chicken — no fresh lettuce or anything. She could clearly taste the chicken. For a more strict vegetarian, this would not have worked. She wasn’t happy but she ate it. Yet even without the chicken or shrimp(chicken was an extra $ 6!) the salad was $ 12!!! And this was about as basic as you could get; lettuce, dressing, a sprinkling of cheese and a couple croutons. This salad was worth no more than $ 6. What an insult. I ordered one of their Bills game specials: pulled pork with roasted pepper mac n cheese. I expected this to be a sandwich with a side of mac, but it was actually all together. For the price it was worth it. But the pulled pork was rubbery and lacked flavor. I should have known better than to get pulled pork anywhere other than a BBQ joint. I would not hesitate to return here but I would probably stick with some beer and maybe more traditional bar food like wings or fries.

This place isn’t bad. I almost didn’t want to review until I gave it a second go, but I have yet to have time to do so.

Way overpriced in the food department. I ordered a $ 18 burger which was basic. The Coconut shrimp was $ 21 and look like I could have gotten it out of a freezer bag. Not only was the food not on point the wait for the meal was almost an hour and that was for a burger and some fried shrimp. The good thing was the staff, they were super friendly.

Potential. This place has such a great look. if I were to own a place, I’d want this place. Riley Street Station is so charming, welcoming and the décor is perfect. It really pays tribute to it’s past as a railroad station with a modern twist. Inside and outside dining areas were lovely. The food. We were really disappointed. Everything was presented beautifully, but looks deceived us. We ordered the artichoke dip as there were good reviews. it had a strange texture which may have been because of the generous amount of parmesan cheese. This made it too grainy in texture for me.(my other half enjoyed it). The salads were a bit different than your usual, I was thankful for mixed greens instead of iceburg, and feta cheese is always a win for me. We did NOT get bread with our meal. I ordered the Pesto Linguini. It looked so beautiful, but it was SO salty. I happen to love a little salt, but this was just too much unfortunately. My S/O ordered the NY Strip. The steak was*ok* and cooked properly. The mashed potatoes accompanying seemed to be powdered/boxed. Really disappointing. Vegetables were good. Overall, not a great meal, average at BEST. I would give them another try if in the area, but my hopes would not be high.

Had an unfortunate experience here recently. Walked in around 2:45 in the afternoon on a Wednesday and was looking forward to sitting outside for some drinks. The inside was pretty empty although there were a few people sitting on the patio outside. Immediately after walking in, a woman saw us but continued walking towards the back of the restaurant ignoring our presence. The restaurant smelled badly like cleaning products but we knew we were going to relocate outside so the smell wouldn’t be bothersome to us. We waited and waited and nobody came behind the bar to take our order. We walked around a bit, hoping someone would hear footsteps but still, nothing. Finally, we saw a gentleman who worked here walk from the outside, pass us and continue to the back of the restaurant. We couldn’t believe we had been ignored by two employees. They stay open throughout the entire day so there really was no reason why we weren’t receiving any service. The least the gentleman could have done was tell us that they were closed or that someone would be with us shortly. Nothing. It was a pretty poor first impression.

Loved it here. My husband and I played hooky on a Friday and grabbed lunch here it was an unexpected delight. I got a portabella sandwich with grilled veggies and it was amazing we ordered Mac and cheese for our daughter and the waitress asked if we wanted Kraft or homemade for not extra charge because some kids just prefer Kraft. I have never had this experience before and I thought it was an awesome gesture. A little pricy for lunch but worth the splurge once and a while Get the fried green beans… Worth all the calories

I was in the area for work and found this place on Unilocal based on the good reviews. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the Chattanooga chicken sandwich and a beer. The bartender was very nice and I asked her what she recommended. The atmosphere was very nice and I LOVED the music they were playing! Whatever playlist it was, was amazing! The chicken sandwich was really good and I ate half and took half to go. One side of it was a little burnt but it was still good. The French fries were awesome! So crispy and fresh, and not at all greasy. I had a Stone IPA(one of my faves). When I got the check I thought my beer was a bit overpriced($ 6.50) but that’s because it was too early for happy hour. Other than that, everything was wonderful! A really great lunch spot that I’m glad I checked out! The uptown area is so cute and there is a lot of cool places to check out and walk around. The parking lot at the restaurant is also huge and you will have no problem finding a spot. Next time I’m in Buffalo I will have to come back :)

After finding a more than 30 minute wait at two nearby establishments, we came here thinking we might get immediate seating because the place is large and often forgotten since it is off the main strip… and we were right. I’d only dined outside in the front in the past and was surprised by their attractive glass atrium dining area in the back. With all those windows, it was still warm inside(though it was only 30 outside). I was afraid it might get noisy as there was a table set up for a party of 12, but even after they arrived, it wasn’t that bad. I enjoyed the ambiance. My souvlaki salad was fairly good. The lettuce(romaine?) and other veggies were fresh. The chicken was a bit overdone, dry and slightly chewy. The dressing could have used more of a vinegar bite, it was extremely mild. The pita was good.(I had them hold the pepperoncinis). The husband felt his steak and spinach pizza was too much cheese, not enough steak and spinach… but other than that, he felt it was«acceptable.» My potato bisque tasted homemade and yummy. The prices were good. With the nice atmosphere and ability to find immediate seating on a busy Saturday night, we will be back. Especially in the summer as there is a large outdoor patio in the back. I think it’s probably a place where you have to order carefully. Will have to figure out what the best things to order are. Our service was extremely slow(maybe because of the pizza?), but the couple next to us got their burgers right away. The waiter was attentive with the drinks and such. Don’t be put off by the large(downscale) bar crowd in the front, the dining area in the back is very separate from the bar. I assume they cater to families as some of the decorations outside were for kids.

«Excellent place to have lunch» Sept 22, 2014 I had a great lunch with a couple friends. We totally enjoy our delicious meals. My one friend had the open pot roast sandwich with French fries, another one had the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I enjoyed the chicken salad with walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, and craisins. It was my second time at Riley Street Station for lunch, and I will go back at a later date! You won’t be disappointed!

I came here for a baby shower, so I’m not sure how my experience compares to someone that might come for a regular meal. The restaurant itself is really nice, the private room we were in had huge windows, and the view outside was really nice. The staff was right on top of everything — always refilling drinks and walking around in case anyone needed something. I was really impressed considering how many people we had. I ordered the chicken parmesan as my meal. The chicken itself was pretty good, a little bit burnt and hard to cut through but still tasty. The pasta it came with left me really disappointed though, the sauce tasted like any generic pasta sauce, not like something you should be getting at a restaurant. I think if I came here again it would be for a few drinks, but not for a full meal.
