This place is pretty cool! The building is all heavy timber, and very industrial looking, with views of the brewery below, and plenty of space to have fun with a group of people. They have multiple games, including shuffle board and bubble hockey. We didn’t eat, but the food(especially the nachos) coming out of the kitchen looked great. Most importantly, the beer is good. my favorites were the IPA and the coffee porter on nitro. Its nice to see breweries in the east catching on to the nitro craze! You can tell this is a young brewery working on their recipes, but there should be good things to come!

I always tell people that I love blizzards and the snow, but only when I’m inside my home with a cup of hot chocolate watching it from my window while I’m nice and warm. I’ve changed my mind; there are two places I would like to be during a blizzard; my home and 42 North. I love this place, obviously. Stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon with friends during a pretty bad snowstorm and we had an absolute ball. The interior is awesome, wooden floors, rustic accents that make the feel of the bar so incredibly homey, cozy and every other word that describes a warm inviting winter feel. My friends and I kept raving about the bathrooms too because the floors were so cool! The architect really paid attention to detail here and did a phenomenal job. Aside from the great inside, the beer was awesome too. Every. single. beer. Their Asylum Porter was incredible, lots of coffee and chocolate notes. Walloon Wit was very drinkable, your Belgian style beer, so tasty. The Bohemian Pilsner was floral so I could only drink one of them but still very good and the IPA was one of the best IPAs I’ve had in a long time, very fruity to cut the bitterness. We tried a few seasonals as well that I can’t recall but they were all good, we kept passing them around the table, trying each others and everyone was impressed. The bar is very big. The place is just really cool, that’s the best way to describe it. The best part about 42 North is their game supply. They have every board game you could ever want to play. I loved that. Absolutely loved that. The four of us grabbed a table and a deck of cards and played euchre for hours. Intermittently stopped at the bar for more beer and when we did the bartenders were kind and attentive. My friends got Breadhive Pretzels with a beer cheese sauce and mustard which they loved. Everything about this place was pretty perfect and I cannot wait to stop in again.

Our office staff had a party here on a Friday evening and it was great! I arranged food in advance and they reserved the game room for us. This is nice because it gave all of us a chance to talk away from the bustle of the bar area. The bar is fantastic and many of us ended up out there anyway. Chelsea was the catering manager and she promptly answered all my questions by e-mail. She guided me to what was most appropriate for our size party and the food was served promptly. No mean feat for a friday night. The food will vary during the month; this night we had meatballs with rosemary gravy and a veggie tray. The food was very good and Chelsea checked on us multiple times. I think she gave us extra because there was more than enough to go around. The bar manager Freddy set our party up with wristbands and a tab. The beers are fantastic and this method of service was very convenient. 42N also has wine by the glass. Believe me: when you organize a party for office staff you worry about the bar tab at the end of the night! But with 42N low prices, it ended up costing half what other restaurants quoted me. Don’t forget to ask for a tour of the brewery. It’s interesting to see the ingredients and get a description of how they brew beer. I can’t wait for the scotch kegged porters to come out.

Love the wonderful addition of 42 North to East Aurora! I have visited on several occasions and each time have had a great experience. The bartenders are helpful in explaining the various brews and I love that there are new selections to choose from each time I visit. I definitely recommend checking out the kitchen menu while there as well! I loved that ingredients from local businesses are featured on a menu that complemented my choice of beer. Boring bar food this is not. My personal favorites have been the Mac and cheese and the scotch egg. The menu is tailored to what is fresh and in season, and is perfect for ordering one of everything and sharing with friends. Can’t beat good food, good people, and good beer!

So I went here after leaving aurora brewing company(5 stars btw) for more drinks and food! We knew we could do both here and have a good time. So we show up at 9:45 with our friends who arrive moments before us. And we are in line to order food. We are told after our freinds order at about 9:52 that«the kitchen is closed, we can only do pretzels» after our friends had JUST ordered before us. After some considerable complaining we managed a cup of chili. Then we saw another table with a cake so we asked if we could have food ordered in so we could continue to stay here as a compromise. We were advised that that was ABSOLUTELYNOTALLOWED so appearantly outside food is allowed as long as its cake and frosting based. Im not a guy to complain about anything honestly. However when you take an order from half a birthday party and tell the other half they are too late less than two minutes later. They chili was very good, but the attitude and the non-existent manager not willing to come to an agreement when clearly outside food is allowed, or even step out to actually talk to upset customers. There were several opportunities to correct a VERY simple misunderstanding of a kitchen closing early. Instead of being amicable they decided to deprive themselves of 6 peoples business forever.

Loved my visit here. Had a flight and all I had to do was tell the bartender a preference and he picked 4 beers out for me. All were great but the IPA was outstanding. Also had a fresh baked Breadhive pretzel along with homemade beer-cheese dip… YUMMY all over! Prices very reasonable and good service.

This is a real gem in East Aurora. I checked out the bar over the weekend and was really blown away. The inside is filled to the brim with reclaimed wood from the Richardson Olmsted Complex and it smells WONDERFUL. Their beers were too notch. I’m a bit of a beer snob, but the brewery managed to get a great head Brewer from Florida and it really shows in their beer offerings. Their IPAs were superb, and more interestingly, their unique beers were spectacular! The oatmeal raisin beer I had was simply amazing. Not light or watered down, but a full on taste of everything you’d get from an oatmeal raisin. They have a great game room for both the adults and children as well. Overall, just a 5⁄5 experience.

New microbrewery that just opened in East Aurora. I like the interior design, it’s rustic and well done. There are six of their own brews on tap and they offer two guest brews. I tried the oatmeal brown ale and was impressed with the flavor. They serve small plates that incorporate local breads and foods. IMHO it’s a great idea to partner with other local businesses. The bar was quite busy and many people were trying the small plates. If the soft launch is any indication of things to come this place will be a hit.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner and beers and the place was packed with a variety of people. From new parents with strollers, single 20-somethings, to older folks, it seems everyone can agree on great beer brewed on-site and homemade/locally-sourced small plates. Pork belly sandwich and the scotch egg were highlights on the menu while West Coast IPA and Saison were favorites from the taps. A great addition to East Aurora, and one which I will definitely return to numerous times in the future!

Great atmosphere! We stopped into this brewery after a day in east aurora and were pleasantly surprised! The ambiance is great — reclaimed wood, shuffleboard, bubble hockey, high top tables and a small food selection! Definitely worth it to stop by if you’re in the area. The beer was great as well — we got the west coast ipa and the saison and they were both great! Looking forward to trying more beers the next time we stop by!

Trendy location in the Village of East Aurora? Check. Stunning interior with beautifully reclaimed wood and spacious seating? Check. Delicious beer brewed on the premises? Check. «WOW» is all I could keep mouthing as I visited 42 North Brewing for the first time tonight. Their location was once a fish/pet store, so to see the overwhelming transformation and hard work that went into this brewery, is just amazing. On to the main event… the beer! So far they’ve got about 6 of their own taps and 2 guest taps. I tried the Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale, and it was full of flavor, without being too heavy. The West Coast IPA is just what the hop doctor ordered… in your face, overpowering in the best way, and so so so good! If they can maintain these as their staple beers, I don’t think they can go wrong(clearly these guys know how to brew)! They also offer 5 – 6 small plates, perfect for sharing. All of the dishes feature local vendors and ingredients(hi Elm Street Bakery, Breadhive, and First Light Creamery!). To conclude(as I’m still drooling over here), get your butt over to 42 North and see for yourself(did I mention there’s also a huge outdoor beer garden with fire pit??)!!
