Model Home Furnishings

We purchased a couch and ottoman from MHF. After calling 3 – 4 times and emailing them with photos of the couch’s defects, we’ve heard nothing. I am happy we didn’t purchase more from them because follow-​up and customer service has been poor at best.

Ok the in store experience is great, the staff is friendly, quality is good and prices are great. However their delivery service and accuracy is atrocious. This is based on my experience and two other families we know. They said 10 – 14 days for delivery. We are on day 35 and we have ¹⁄₆ of our order. We have called several times, mostly at their direction to check back, and get vague answers and poor response time. Our friends have received several pieces in the wrong color compared to what they ordered, at the 30 day mark, and they now have to start the cycle all over. They too were told 10 – 14 days at purchase. Sad because I want to like them based on their uniqueness and quality but the continued disappointment is overbearing.

We had a great experience buying from this store. Excellent customer service, and good value for the quality. We bought love seat, chairs, and three tables which we are enjoying very much in our home. It is true that the furniture is not returnable simply because you do not like it when it is delivered to your home. We looked at the furniture in another store before we ordered the pieces we wanted from Model Home’s catalogs, so we had seen them first hand, and had sat on them to test their comfort and sturdiness, then ordered the pieces from Model Home Furnishings, happy with the choices and the lower prices they can provide because of their business model. We were told about their return policy when we purchased. BUT, if there is a defect in the furniture item, it is taken care of speedily and cheerfully with return and exchange. One of the tables we bought had a manufacturing flaw in it (cosmetic, not structural) and management made the replacement without any conflict. We are very pleased and will order again from Model Home Furnishings.

I was VERY happy with the quality and the prices for what I bought. I purchased a full formal dining set that seats 8 and the buffet for less than $ 2,000 and… It was solid wood! Much better value than RC Willey. We did have to assemble the chairs but it was worth it for the huge savings. The owner Todd is very accommodating and customer friendly.

Watch out for this store. They make you order from catalogs, then if you don’t like what shows up, they claim they have a no return policy. We would never do business with them again and advise others not to also.
