Legit! When everyone in the restaurant is speaking Spanish, it is a good sign. Eat here.

Good quality Mexican food for the Eagle area. Service is a little slow which is why it wasn’t a 5 stars. Nice range of Mexican food options. The burritos are nice and big.

Pretty good food, most of the time. The restaurant is now casa Mexico as its changed hands. Their burritos used to be the best, now their just ok. The Estibans Favorite Margarita is pretty dang good, but a little pricey. It’s not my favorite Mexican joint, but if your queso levels are low, they definitely get the job done!

We left without eating. Two very dirty menus were handed to us, no one knew how to make the drinks on the menu, and when we tried to pay for our kids’ sodas, they didn’t have change for. $ 20.

It could because of the seven hour drive before finding this place, or because it’s awesome. We got the el gordo platter and it was perfect for the two adults and one kid. FYI this town doesn’t Unilocal? So ignore the lack of reviews.

Great tacos the carnitas is great, also tried the molcajete(octopus) was pretty awesome. To drink michelada with modelo especial. Good food the ventilation is just not there so be ready to smell like Mexican food.

I used to love this place until they raised their prices! Chorizo and eggs went from $ 6.99 to $ 10.99. Side of beans– $ 5.99. Really? Get a clue

I used to LOVE this place, but went 9÷28÷14 and it is now says Casa Mexico on the bill, although we did not notice a change on the sign outside. Tacos used to be $ 2 each, simple and delicious, but now can only be ordered as a 3 taco plate with rice and beans for $ 14…this was also the first time I woke up sick the day after eating here. What happened to the best place in town?

No bueno. Only One waitress and on other young employee who might be a waitress with a few more years of practice, Chicken burrito was chewy, bland, flat. Steak burrito was bogus. Sign on door says«now hiring cook» and yes I’d have to agree, they need help in the cook department sadly.

Best Mexican food in Eagle county! A cute taqueria with a pleasant atmosphere, next to the bowling alley in Eagle. Friendly service, and efficient with take out orders. I highly recommend their Frittata tacos with three different kinds of pork — so tasty!

Had dinner there tonight, outstanding. It’s important to understand, this is authentic Mexican food. It’s a taqueria, a small, local place to get Mexican. It isn’t fancy, anything but. I lived in San Diego for 5 years, this is the real deal for Mexican food. Don’t bring your ideas and concepts regarding US based restaurants here. The service will be different than you expect at an American restaurant. The food, and that’s what this is all about, is outstanding. This is how people eat in Mexico and a lot of SoCal. While we were eating there, my wife and I were the only 2 people in the place who did not speak fluent Spanish. That should tell you something about the authenticity of the place. Recommend.

When I arrived, no clean tables were available, so the waitress directed me to the bar. Both TVs were on screen saver, and I when asked about watching something, the waitress informed me they were having trouble with DirecTV. Not a good start. I ordered a chicken chimichanga, which was supposed to include sour cream and guacamole. But when it arrived, both were missing. I informed the server, but she said it didn’t come with either, and had to talk to the manager first, and then she brought both. Good thing. This was the blandest chimi I’ve ever had. The shredded chicken had no discernible seasoning — none. The tortilla was thick and doughy, with no cheese or sauce of any kind, which made me glad I insisted on guacamole and sour cream. I couldn’t have eaten it otherwise. The small amount of pico de gallo was ok, and same the rice and refried beans. But nothing special. I would not return to this restaurant.

Excellent tacos! Right around $ 2 a pop… You cant beat that. We ordered 16 tacos between the four of us, which was plenty. They brought out the tacos four at a time as they were finished. The Carne Asada, Carnitas, Pastor, and Tripa tacos were out of this world. For those who have never tried Tripa before… here it is delicious, crispy, and flavorful. All tacos are served with fresh lime, cilantro, and onions. Service was great and very quick. We were also offered a round of tequila shots which just made the experience that much more fun. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy with bar seating for about 8 and about 12 tables. Nothing fancy which is a nice change in these mountain towns. It’s a great spot to stop and I will be back any time I’m in the area. I’ll definitely be back next time we are in town… Or at least nearby! T

Nice warm and friendly place just off I-70. Marg was tasty but not very strong. Nice spices and flavor on the meats. If you’re not a big onion fan you might request light onions, even the salsa had a very heavy onion flavor.

Awesome chips and salsa. Hubs had a grilled chicken burrito that was pretty darn tasty and I had a smothered egg, steak potato and green chili burrito that was pretty much the best burrito I’ve ever had. Good margs, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Can’t beat it!

On our drive back from Palisade to Denver, we decided to stop in Eagle for a bite to eat. I whipped out my trusty phone and checked out what Unilocal had to say. El Pariente Taquieria got some pretty good reviews! Mexican sounded good to me, so we decided to stop. I ordered the flautas. I had to repeat my order three times to the waitress. I think I was the only person in the history of that restaurant to ever order flautas. She asked what I wanted in them and I said beef. She still seemed confused, but wrote something down on her pad. My husband ordered the chile relleno burrito(easy enough). 15 minutes later she asks if I’m sure I want beef. Wouldn’t I rather have… say… chicken in my flautas? Sure. Whatever. Just bring it out! When they came out, they looked good. The guacamole on the side was good and so were the beans. Their Mexican rice is a little weird. It has peas and carrots in it. That was kind of confusing. I was also kind of disappointed that the waitress never refilled our empty drinks. Husband enjoyed his burrito– he ate the entire thing. The ingredients were flavorful. He liked that they didn’t put shaved lettuce or beans or anything on the plate with the burrito. The burrito was huge. The only thing he missed was the meat(which, granted… was his fault. The chile relleno burrito is a vegetarian burrito.) While we were eating, a bunch of locals filled the place. That’s always a good sign. We were both a bit sick when we got back to Denver. Both of our stomachs were pretty upset. I know most people will think that’s par for the course at a Mexican restaurant, but it shouldn’t be. If this place were in Denver, I probably wouldn’t go back. Because it’s in a small town on the Western Slope, I give it 3 stars.

This is real Mexican food! the Alambre Hawaiana is our favorite. Carry out service isn’t always great, we always seem to be missing items. Dining in has always been a great experience.
