Sam the bartender is great but don’t try to order the veggie chili cuz they’re always F’n out.

Eagle Rock Lounge is a mellow sports bar, but I don’t come for the sports. I come because it’s dark, they have good beers on tap, the kitchen’s open late(relatively speaking, for Eagle Rock), and the bartenders are always pleasant. They used to serve beer and wine only but as of more recently(the last year or so?) offer a full bar with some specialty cocktails, none of which I’ve tried. The kitchen’s sort of hit or miss. I like their black bean burger and fries as it’s a pretty consistent choice. On our last visit we tried their homemade vegetarian chili which was more like vegetable soup or stew and not worth the $ 12+. Menu prices do not adequately represent quality of food. You’d be better off to come fed and just stick around for a drink and a game.

At the end of November some friends and I stopped in for a beer. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and our server was very nice. They also have a nice patio in the back and I believe this restaurant is owned by Angel City Brewery. If you feel like watching some games they have plenty of big screens as you can see from my photo. I tried the Firestone Wookey and I like that. I have a feeling the ABV is 8.3% which is really good. It is a American Black Ale. I’d definitely stop in again.

Dear Eagle Rock Lounge, You stink on ice. Last night there were at least 3 identified staff members on duty. There were 3 dudes at the bar. There was another two-top. And there was me and my companion. You could hear the echos of footsteps in the bar. That’s how empty it was. The two of us waited over 15 minutes— I timed it once I realized what was going on– and were NEVER acknowledged. Nobody made eye contact. Nobody offered to give us a menu. No drinks. No nothing. In fact the cocktail waitress walked past us on three different occasions(mind you, this place is pretty empty at this time– and it’s only about 7:30) to clean up dirty tables before talking to customers. Customers who have money to spend. Customers who live in the neighborhood and want to spend that money. Oh, I also tip a minimum of 20% and i was hungry. Just sayin’. Up yours, Eagle Rock Lounge. Maybe you’re too hip for me. Maybe you don’t WANT my business, but as empty as your place was last night, it doesn’t seem that you could afford to be choosy.

I like that I could study and grab a drink at the same time! The coffee drinks were ok, but the service is great! I love that there are tvs and so much space to sit! Fast wifi! Oh how I love fast wifi! All around Good vibes!

Friendly service, good prices, strong drinks. What else do you need. Good selection of beer too. Not a hipster crowd which I like.

Great place with versatility, originality & style. Lots of drink options & food is good, prices are great during happy hr & if there’s a game on, the tv setup is perfection… added bonus the board & card games give a great element of fun at your disposal

I had a great experience in here on Tuesday night! The bartender Eric was very personable, kept it very clean bar top, and really made us feel welcone. It was great to see someone takes it would frighten their work. I love the atmosphere, plenty of TVs for games, and a great selection of beer!

Not your typical bar scene. Pretty mellow, quiet, and laid back. It is a place that accompanies for those who want to get out and watch the game, with bare minimum distraction or noise. You get the feeling you’re at home watching the game here. «Family friendly» bar best describes the atmosphere(they have board games here.) Tap selection is okay. The location is convenient(Oinkster is right across the street for those in need of late night grub) and street parking is fairly accessible.

There was only one guy working the entire lounge. He tried his best but service was slow. TVs everywhere. Sports on every channel. They have an assortment of board games. The flat bread was pretty good. Place looks like a dive bar but is actually a sports bar? Confusing.

They now have rotating craft beer on tap. You can order delicious meals from the café across the room. They also have big screen TVs. Bartender was very knowledgable.

We were watching Game 5 of the NBA Finals down the street at 5 Line. Our service was so horrible there, we left at halftime to find another bar to watch the rest of the game. Eagle Rock Lounge was a breath of fresh air! There was one employee working, and he was friendly and accommodating as he worked both behind the bar and gave table service with a smile. He was very knowledgable about the beers they carry, and when we closed out at the end of the game, he made sure to let us know about the different events that happen at the bar throughout the week. Didn’t catch his name, but he deserves a raise! The ambiance could use a little work, but that’s my only complaint. Good service goes a long way in my book, so I’ll be back. :)

My friend was visiting from out of town and we wanted to put our liberal arts degrees to use, so obviously we had to find a trivia night. We rolled in around 8pm on a Thursday, took our seats and proceeded to not quite dominate these trivia night. e were able to drown our sorrows in tall cans of Golden Road Brewery beers for $ 5 and some delish chimichurri chicken plates. The main downside is the closing time. The place closed up at 11. And on a subsequent weekend night, it closed around that time as well. That’s a swell time to close up shop if you’re a restaurant, but this is where you go after to hang out and chill. And at this hour, your walking distance options in the neighborhood are quite limited.

Noooo thanks. This place is really confusing. It’s called a lounge but doesn’t look like it. They have tvs everywhere on sports channels with no sound. They have food and beer but looks more like a pizzeria. We came here after eating at Oinkster across the street, and we wanted to catch the clippers/lakers game. I had Unilocaled it and noticed they had tvs everywhere so thought it was a good place to go watch it. We went to get some drinks and asked the guy at the counter if they can put the sound on for the game, and he said«we don’t put the sound on the tvs, we just listen to music here» what the hell?! There’s tvs everywhere on the same game! He was being kinda snobby also. We watched the first half of the basketball game and quickly left. Good beer selection $ 5-$ 9. Wells are $ 6. But it doesn’t matter because not coming here again.

The space itself is a little hidden and confused. But it’s stocked and there’s plenty of seating and options. It’s worth a visit. Leave the dark bar and head down a nondescript hallway, stop short of the surprisingly large outdoor space and look for a door on your left. The facilities are large, but they feel dated and generic. It’s like you’re at the restroom of an independent movie theater in the 90s. Again, plenty of space and options. It’s well-stocked and clean, but just doesn’t ‘fit.‘ A good example are the mirrors. They’re large and useful, but the varying sizes and frames don’t jive with the otherwise sleek gastropub. Regardless, this Eagle Rock space gets the job done and I’ll be back, more than likely at half-time during the NFL playoffs.

This place has gone DOWNHILL! I’ve been coming for about the last 4 years and it’s falling apart. The sound system sucks, there are spider webs coming from the ceiling, a big hole in the floor… They no longer have a real bar menu like they use to. Also, it looks nothing like the pictures. The PBR is overpriced at $ 4.50 a glass. They need a make over badly! The service is ok, friendly but that doesn’t make up for what this place lacks! I won’t be coming back. Sorry guys! Step it up or let someone that cares take over!!!

Decent beers on tap. Not sure if it’s supposed to be a pub or a sports bar? It seems to be more of a place where the cooks and managers from the restaurant next door hang out. They were our only fellow drinkers that day. Identity of the place is still unknown. It’s attached to a restaurant and there is a nice patio out back. Empty of people on the night we went. You pass the crappers on your way there. I think a redesign or clear identity is needed for the bar. The beers are pretty pricey. Luckily, we hit happy hour and got a dollar off each beer. Still too pricey for us to go back.

It’s A-OK as the three stars would indicate. I’ve been here a bunch of times and it’s never great nor bad. The food from next door is good and the service is decent. The back patio is awesome and I’d probably give it four stars if it was open past 9(darn neighbor complaints!). I don’t go often but when I do it’s because of the televisions and food. You can sit anywhere and pretty much see two different LA sports events. They took out the gladiator chairs so it’s easier to find a seat now but they’re still kind of awkward and not really comfortable for some reason. I can’t pinpoint why really. Maybe it’s the way if there is someone at the next table across from you they’re constantly looking in your direction at the TV behind you or something? The biggest problem is the beer prices. $ 5.50 … $ 4.50… what’s with the 50 cents? Do you insist your bartenders get 50 cent tips? Whatever, that’s not the problem, the problem is that those are the prices for PBR and BUD. Sure you can charge premium for some«craft» beers but PBR and BUD? Maybe it’s a deterrant so people don’t buy it. A soft way of saying«get some real beer bro» but they serve Stella too so they can’t be THAT snobby. There’s a happy hour from 5 – 7 so that is nice. If you’re gonna drink there just get some whiskey or something. I always forget they have the hard stuff now. Mixed mostly local crowd which I think is good. Basically all the people that aren’t at Colombos or Black Boar. Wings, whiskey and watching TV.
