If Jane was the one I dealt with, then this place is aptly friggin named. The 1 and 2 star reviews were spot on. Over two days I got attitude from three different people. It is a true shame. Great atmosphere but I think most of the people working here are just don’t seem like they care(at least on the bar side and in the kitchen). Or maybe they are just real fucking dumb when it comes to business. Unfortunately with such a little city, with many of the businesses opening when they want, they have the only game in town — unless you want to eat at the gas station. Which is exactly what I did. When I got back to the hotel to inquire if there was a microwave, a group of 4 overheard and said they had a similar experience. In an effort to be objective: 1. Mediocre food 2. Inconsistent hours 3. Inconsistent prices(believe it or not) 4. One television, so don’t some here for sports. I would recommend patronizing some places that actually appreciate and understand customer service. I would recommend heading over to the Angelfire or Red River. This place isn’t a ski area, and unfortunately acts like one.

It was OK-not many place available in Eagle Nest. Friendly good service. Hamburger was fine.

Worst customer service, ordered the special and it took over 30 minutes for them to tell us they were out. Reordered and then one plate was cold, the owner basically called us a liar. She said, ‘well they reheated them’. And we are the only place open here and in Angel Fire… Not impressed with her customer service at all!!!

Service was horrible. With a «limited» menu the lasagna and spaghetti was old and crunchy.

Would never go again! Staff was rude– initially sat on bar side but went to other side after 15 mins because we were never offered a menu or drinks. Service was very poor and slow. The restaurant had no heat so it was freezing. The food was cold and flavorless. Definitely would not recommend. Pretty sure we were overcharged on tax– 12%!!! And they charged 20% gratuity for 4 adults and 6 children. The drive to Angel Fire or Red River to eat is well worth it.

Staff was nice but the food was very mediocre. I wish we had tried a different restaurant but it was conveniently located within walking distance of where we were staying.

unexpected gem in a one horse town hidden inside the historic saloon. surprisingly good food and service. the bbq sandwich was very tasty-smoky flavor, not too vinegary. crispy wrinkle cut fries out of the freezer, but perfectly crisped. soup of the day was pretty tasty, though creamier than I would expect of a tortilla soup, and the chicken was dry. my veggie quesedilla was awesome. nicely toasted tortillas filled with…(drum roll)… fresh vegetables! plump mushrooms, grape tomatoes, peppers, and cheese, glorious cheese. sides of garlicky guacamole, pico, sour cream. attentive wait staff. reasonably priced. worth stopping for.

Super staff(Stormy and Brandon) made our meal enjoyable and memorable. Really nice people-down to earth and genuine. We went as a group of 5(4 adults and 1 child). Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were there for a while, definitely not fast food, but it was such a nice experience and were in no hurry. The restaurant was comfortable and the meals were all good. We loved the salads that were recommended to us. It seems like a place where locals frequent and the ambiance is neat — you can tell the restaurant/bar has been there for a long time and has some history. The saloon doors on the bar side give it a sense of history.
