Rockin Tattoos

I had an excellent experience here. I was a walk in and had to wait about 45 min., but that was understandable. They were very nice and not over priced. Excellent work!!!

My second time visiting to get a tattoo. Extremely clean and professional. Outstanding artist and I absolutely enjoy doing business with them. I’ll be back for more.

Not happy about my experience here.

Got my first tattoo done on 6÷28÷14. I heard about this place from a friend who had work done here. The artist who eventually did the tattoo spent about 45 minutes working on a custom design for me, even though I was just a walk in with no prior appointment made. The process took roughly 4 hours from start to finish, with about 2.5 hours being spent on the tattooing. I love the tattoo, it’s a beautiful design I will be happy wearing. It is healing well (I think.) Andrew Padilla was my tattoo artist.
The facility seemed nice and clean, prominently displays all Department of Health certifications and follows sterile procedures. They have an autoclave and test it regularly. Got some great artwork on the walls to look at while you’re getting the work done. I don’t know about how tattoo pricing works per se, but I have been told by others that I got mine done at a good price for the time and quality of work. Would recommend to a friend. (Gave it 4 stars because I’ve never been to any other tattoo shop and can’t compare it to other experiences.)
Edit: I’ve had some experience at other shops now. I would say that Rockin’ Tattoo is definitely on par with other excellently reviewed Minneapolis tattoo shops on Unilocal.I’m keeping the four star review because I noticed there are no female artists. Not to dissuade anyone from going to Rockin’, but diversity is nice to see and made me feel more comfortable at other shops.

I attended one of their Friday the 13^th $ 20 tattoo events. Yep $ 20 for a tattoo! Yes they were a limited selection but all pretty cool and incorporate the #13. I hadn’t had a tattoo in years but heard about this event and figured it would be a good way to break my no ink streak and not my wallet. Although it was busy, the artists were very organized and were able to accommodate the requests in a timely manner. Joe did my tattoo, he was very professional and the colors he incorporated are amazing! He worked with me to even modify and add different colors to the tattoo I picked. When I’m in need of an ink fix again I will definitely be back to Rockin!

BY FAR the best tattoo shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting art work done at. Clean, friendly/​personal, honest and the most important talented. Walked in one day with a bad tattoo from another shop– talked with Joe (owner) — Joe did a amazing cover up and now has just completed a full sleeve from shoulder to wrist. I have received SO many complements on my walking artwork from Rockin Tattoos and i will send everyone i possibly can to them. I cant say enuf good things about this shop and its staff. HIGHLY recommend

Not a good experience at all. Made an appt for 4:00 and my tattoo artist tells me I have to wait because another one of his appointments showed up late. So I sit and wait for an unknown period of time before I finally get up after about an hour and a half and tell him I’ll just go somewhere else. He proceeds to get rather hostile and defensive when I ask for my deposit back. Overall unpleasant and def won’t be coming back.

Well, being that I’ve never had a tattoo… and am a big olé chicken when it comes to getting one, I took the easy way out and took a friend to get one for her birthday! My friend had been to Rockin before, but I had no idea what to expect. We walked in and the place was SPOTLESS… I mean, seriously, I should see if they will come clean at my house! And all of the guys are really super nice… and have some seriously cool tattoos of their own! Austin, the guy who worked on my friend was great… I mean he had to be if he put up with me popping in and out, standing over him, and asking a zillion questions, right? :) Thanks, Austin! In the end my friend got what she wanted, I learned a bit more about the process, and am one step closer to getting a pretty of my own.
