I’ve been hitting this place for up for a long time. The Jake Wings are awesome! Even though it’s a ‘bar and grill’ the food is a better than most. They have a wood fired pizza oven and they do make wonderful pizzas. If you get there in the few warm days of the year they have a large outside patio and fireplace.

Gluten free menu is a joke. Only five salads, one burger without the bun, and a few entrees. The prices for lunch entrees were far too high. Paid for the soda that too long to arrive and left.

Got the Jakes Wings and the chicken pad thai and my husband had the Jake burger everything was seasoned perfectly and came quickly and the service was good the atmosphere is also nice and the booths are comfy I I rarely have a meal and don’t add more sauce or seasoning to it and this did not need anything

Awesome service, great atmosphere and did I mention the Salmon Salad yet? No? Well I’ll do that now. It was superior to all other salads. All salads bow down to Jake’s Salmon Salad. It was so delish! I’m definitely going to go back.

Had chicken fettuccini modified with marinara sauce instead of Alfredo. Excellent meal, great service in a noisy restaurant. Pot sticker app was also very good. Glad business is good, but couldn’t hear across the table. I’d still go back for the food, but would ask for a booth instead of a table in hopes it would provide a little sound insulation. Our server kept water, pop and coffee cup full. He kept glancing over at our table to make sure we were happy with our meal.

Arrived at peak time on a Saturday night but seating was immediate. Menu was generally un-original. The place could use a good cleaning — trash in the floor as we were seated. Table was too small for our group(even though there were many other seating options). The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. Apparently tonight was a fish fry because the fried pita chips on the appetizer tasted decidedly like deep fried cod. Salad was meh — nothing great– very run of the mill. The ribs were overdone(which is difficult to do!). If you like large portions — this place has them. Server didn’t quite get the order right or the bill but did try to make the adjustment quickly.

We have had some hits and misses here. Overall a solid spot to stop to grab a bit with some options. We havent had anything that truly stands out but nothing truly bad either. They make great sandwiches, have some good fish tacos and the staff is great.

Jake’s is alright to be honest. The service can be slow, which is a pain point when the goal is to come in, eat, and get it within a reasonable time. Food is meh for the most part, as it is fairly expensive for the quantity that you are getting. The vibe is nice though, which is perfect for business networking events. Overall, I like Jake’s, but would not want to spend my own money there.

My wife and I were there for dinner in mid-July. Service was average. The server didn’t correctly ring in my order of the philly style French dip… so when he took the dish to be «remade», they just put cheese on top and nuked it for 10 seconds and brought it back out. I was hoping it would have been melted fully, using a salamander-type melter. We ordered the Jake Wings as app. They were outstanding. Best wings in Eagan. My wife ordered a Mediterranean Flatbread wrap. It was good, but a tad dry. The chef should add some more dressing to the pita, or offer a side of something the dip it in. Overall a good experience. Order the jake wings, not the Philly French Dip.

Mother’s day brunch way over priced. The food was average. They had to put 2 plates under the table leg to keep the table from rocking and then laughed about it.

Mothers Day brunch was disappointing. Table was unlevel they had to use two plates to fix it. Over priced for what you got.

Stick to the buffet because the omelet ingredients do not include salt and pepper. There is a good variety on the buffet but not much selection of gluten free options, even the hash browns have gluten in them for some strange reason. I am a little bit disappointed in the experience overall.

Ya know what doesn’t suck? The Key Lime Martini at Jake’s. I am not kidding. I am a Key Lime Martini fanatic and it just doesn’t get better than this. I seriously have a love affair with these Martinis. So if you love Key Lime, stop by Jake’s to get a martini! So, now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the good stuff: foooood. Jake’s is an American Restaurant chain throughout the Twin Cities. Since moving to the Southern Burbs, I have to say it has definitely become one of our favorite places for Happy Hour/Dinner/Brunch. They really do have it all. Now what I typically go there for is HH. This particular time, I went with my co-workers to enjoy in the Happy Hour specials from 3−6pm. Jake’s has a great wine/cocktail/beer Happy Hour – along with some great deals on their very delicious appetizers. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu(I know, I love this place) but I apps I would recommend are Spicy Green Beans, Dumplings, Jake’s Wings, and the Spinach Artichoke dip(this one is especially good). They just know how to hit the spot on the apps – and it’s not easy to find a restaurant in which all my co-workers have a favorite! Besides that, service is typically right on point – bartenders are friendly and the facilities are usually always clean. Tip: Stop by for Brunch if you aren’t able to do the HH specials. Great place to take the family after church too!

I have always been a fan of their prime rib! For the size, price, and taste. It was great. I have had it plenty of time and the tenderness and flavor of it is always on point! Of course this kind of meat, you must only get it rare to medium. It will kill the quality of this cut to get it cooked any further. Definitely recommend everyone who comes here to at least try it once. This time tho there was a bit more fat on it than usual. Overall it was delicious. Also have tried the beer-battered mushroom. That was pretty decent. Nothing too fancy about it. Sauce was great tho. Jake wings were very good. It had a nice tangy zesty flavor. They were grilled wings but how they cooked it had a nice crisp on the skin. Super juicy. Service wasn’t bad. Attentive.

After a night of helping the girlfriend at school, we decided to not go to Granite City and instead head to Jake’s for dinner, hoping for something decent and fast considering it’s been a long night. Stroll in, greeted and sat with no issues. Cool. We get time to order, asked if we have any questions on the menu — none. Order goes in, I opt for the lemon garlic chicken kabobs a side caesar salad and Ashley goes with the chicken club. Everything is going well, and then the salad arrives. Everything tastes ok as we both dig into the salad. Then, all the cut lettuce is gone, and we have a plate length, fully intact, romaine heart. I kick myself for not taking a picture to prove this point. But, I stared at it skeptically wondering, «is this standard, are the cooks and staff around a corner wondering how I tackle this waiting to laugh at my decision, where in the world is Carmen San Diego?» Ashley starts laughing at me as I decide to knife and fork it instead of cow it and try to stuff it in with stalks hanging out. Either way, rather freaking strange. Food comes out a few minutes later… and things look ok. The chicken was pretty tasteless and didn’t have a hint of lemon or garlic to it. Not sure why they lie to you in the menu description that there’s going to be lemon and garlic taste, but, hey, it fooled the hell out of me. The tzatziki sauce that came with it, or I’m assuming it was tzatziki, was close to flavorless. But, considering they lied to me about chicken, who knows what the white sauce actually was? My veggies on the side were ok. Some were fried up nicely, some were fried up too much and rock hard. It was like a guessing game on which one was going to be cooked correctly, and which one — CRUNCH — wouldn’t be. Rice was rice… Tried the pita bread on it’s own, meh. Tried it with some things stuff inside it, meh. The chicken club was pretty solid though, I’ll give it that. Probably because they don’t lie to you about a fake flavor profile you might expect. But, it was ok and served on ciabatta. Now why this could be a 1 star review(only isn’t because the sandwich was A-OK and my food, while lacking it’s menu noted flavor, was still ok), is that we went the entire meal without seeing our server. He made 3 laps around his tables, including stopping to talk with and older couple, but not once decided us two needed a check in… despite my empty water glass sitting at the edge of the table, and Ashley trying to flag him down for a condiment. Luckily a runner was able to help bring the condiment for us. Considering I’ve got some more time in Eagan to be had, I won’t consider stopping here again.

I was pretty excited to stop in Jake’s for lunch with my co-workers. Everyone raves about the Jake’s sauce, the wings, and the pizza rolls. We’ve had the pizza rolls and wings catered in the office before but catered food is never as good as the real deal. When I went into the restaurant for lunch I was really craving the burger. A friend of mine said she loved The Jake burger. This burger comes with fried onions and Jake’s sauce. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries as a side and kept my regular fries(Fry overload). The first thing I said to my coworker was«where is the Jake’s sauce, I don’t see it». Turns out that the patty had an ever so slight glaze of Jake’s sauce. I took a bite and it was unimpressed. It was all bland. I couldn’t take the Jake’s sauce or even the onions on the burger. It all tasted the same, and yes all of my taste buds were working properly. The sweet potato fries were average. I’m a sauce person and I personally think that a special sauce is necessary to come with sweet potato fries, ketchup does not compliment well. The fries that came with the burger were good. They were seasoned and crisp. Overall, our server did a great job of serving our large group over the lunch rush. I always had water in my glass, all of our checks were right, and our food was served at the same time. I was just unimpressed with the my food and how bland it was for how much everything cost.

My whole experience with Jake’s could be summed up with a «meh» Nothing about the restaurant is unique or original. The décor is nice but very plain — nothing different than any other basic restaurant. The prices are a bit more than I expected — the entrees are on average start around $ 12 and up, which I didn’t feel like the food was worth. I ordered a Jake’s Burger because I heard the JakeSauce is really good. Along with the sauce, the burger is topped with cheddar cheese and crispy onion strings. The burger was very plain and I couldn’t even taste any of the special«JakeSauce». It lacked flavor and was not anything special for me. It came with fries that were heavily spiced, which was fine at first but got to be too much as I kept eating them. Our service was great and they did a good job of keeping up with our group of 10 but otherwise the experience was just average. Nothing made me wanting to come back for more.

I like Jake’s. Always have. I would classify Jake’s as an upscale American bar with a diversified menu that’s way above your average bar food taste. The service is usually always decent too. It’s no five-star service but it’s your everyday decent service. I went to lunch today with ten people and the food came out all together and as ordered. I was impressed! For a Friday lunch rush, the service was great! I even had a refill of my iced tea in front of me before I requested a refill. However, I was disappointed in my salad. I ordered the Greek Chicken Salad($ 12.95) and found it to be completely bland and lacking flavor. The chicken wasn’t flavorful and was flat — almost dry. The dressing tastes more like herbed olive oil and I like my salad dressing to be the ‘wow’ that makes the salad. I ate almost all of the pita bread as that was the best part of the meal but even that tasted stale. I will go back. I know Jake’s has food better than the salad I had. I will just make sure to order other food next time.

Stopped here with a group of work friends at a very random time, about 2:30pm. Our server seemed aloof & mildly annoyed by our presence. He served our drinks & we decided to share the Chicken Nachos & wait until 3pm(the start of Happy Hour) to order the remaining appetizers. Food Review: The Chicken Nachos were the typical ‘Oh crap, not enough cheese or toppings and a ton of chips left-over’ scene. For Happy Hour, we ordered the Pulled Pork Minis, Bruschetta, Jake Wings & the Panko Crusted Chicken Strips. Now, all of these were REALLY good. It was a bummer that an order of the Pulled Pork Minis only came with 2 sliders(tough to share with a group of 6), so we had to add on another order & cut them in half. I liked the Bruschetta because it wasn’t a hard crostini you bite and snap off. The bread was thick & soft(almost soggy), but I’d rather have that than a hard cracker with toppings. The Jake Wings came with their signature ‘Jake’s Sauce’, a sweeter BBQ style dipping sauce that’s really tasty. The Panko Crusted Chicken Strips were really crunchy & delicious, also plentiful enough to share with a group our size. Our group was ready to order more drinks & after placing that order, it took our server about 15 minutes to return with the drinks. Most of us we ready to get the tab by this point, but had to stay longer than planned to finish those drinks. Our server maintained a ‘too cool for school’ attitude with our table when he brought the check. With happy hour prices, I think the food met expectations. I wish our server was a bit more friendly/down to earth & attentive. Positives: Reasonable Happy Hour Prices on apps & drinks, tasty food Negatives: Big bar atmosphere, Weird service Overall, I wouldn’t hate going back, but I wouldn’t be too excited either.

The second most average place on Earth.(Dita has already proclaimed Red Robin to be the first). Jake’s was our settling point when Sam W. and I couldn’t decide where we wanted to waste our money. We didn’t want anything too exciting and we definitely weren’t looking for value. Jake’s fit the bill perfectly. The menu is a combination of every other chain restaurants’ on the planet, minus anything you actually want to eat. The prices are close to twice what the food is worth. The décor here is the least thought provoking shade of maroon and tan that I have ever come across. The service is there… somewhere. Sam looked at me and said«Oh my God, this sounds fucking disgusting! Apple, bleu cheese, and grape flatbread with melted Parmesan cheese and a honey drizzle! Barf!» So I ordered it because I didn’t think it sounded all that bad. It was the most average flatbread whateverthefuck that I have ever had. Sam stared at the menu and upon finding absolutely nothing that he wanted, he ended up ordering the hamburger sliders that were on happy hour special for $ 6. After an average wait, Sam’s sliders came out on a plate that would easily hold three sliders but only came with two. The onion straws on top were stale enough to use as shoelaces. The burgers had a watery grease pouring out of them. But, the buns were fresh, Fuck yeah! After a perfectly disappointing and mediocre dinner, two pieces into my flatbread and a look on desperation on Sam’s face(Couldn’t tell if he had to shit or if he was still hungry) I flagged down our waiter and asked for the bill. He returned with a full pepsi for me, which was nice except I didn’t order it and I was drinking iced tea. Jake’s is so lame, I need a nap from just trying to remember it.
