Been to this place about 5 times now. The food is always great. The selection of meats for tacos and burritos is really good. The salsa has a really nice consistency and a lot of flavor. Best Mexican place in the area.

Tacos and Burritos has been my go to Mexican place for years. The workers know us and are always friendly. The steak tastes great and is much better than nearby competitors(cough cough El Amigo). I have no complaints and will continue to be frequent customer. I highly recommend it as a quick stop for Mexican food craving.

Driving around looking for a place for breakfast pass this place and decide to stop in. Usually eat at the one in Highland. Ordered one sope and a side of rice. They bring out the rice and I can see my sope on the counter. The cashier brings me the rest of my food and as I’m getting ready to take a bite I notice a bug crawling around the lettuce. They offered to make another one but I lost my appetite and was reimbursed for the sope and rice. Damn I was hungry.

Food is mediocre at best – except for the chips and pico which are my favorite around. Unfortunately, the other stuff just isn’t very good. In addition, the real reason behind my giving them such a low rating is the fact that they close before their hours indicate and have done so multiple times. I showed up at 11:15 to this place, which supposedly closes at midnight only to see the doors locked and chairs up on the tables. When I knocked because they were inside cleaning, the man gestured they were closed by shaking his hand no and pointing to his watch(which should have been reset if it showed him midnight a full 45 minutes before). Honestly, the food and service are typically around a 3.5 to maybe even 4, but this was such an agitating experience that I’d rather not go back and simply make the drive to another nearby Mexican restaurant.

Came here expecting authentic Mexican food, but left with a disappointed belly and shattered hopes. Steak burrito was a little on the small side in comparison to other places(Burrito Station, El Burrito Loco). It was sub-par: they loaded the sour cream, the tortilla left a puddle of oil from the meat when I bit into it, and no rice inside. Also, no complementary chips and salsa here, although they do have rojo and salsa verde in squirt bottles on the table. Ordered 2 pork tamales to go(since they ran out of Barbacoa) and they were very small. The pork was good, few chunks dispersed throughout, but the 2 were slim enough to make 1 tamale! They also had a chest fridge near the counter that contained fruit Popsicles, but one could tell they have been sitting there awhile. The pros, on the other hand, is that it’s next to a Speedway where you can gas up for cheap, and it really is clean inside of the restaurant. Bathrooms are presentable as well. Service was on point and friendly. I would give this place another chance if I were to get gas there, but might opt for another Mex place in the area.

pretty good for fast mexican food. the tacos and burritos are tastey but really been hooked on the bistec a la mexicana which is cut up steak mixed with onions tomatos and jalapenos which give it a little heat! been back many times and never had a bad experience

Great Food especially the Nachos! The Fish Tacos are just ok but everything else all the way down to the chips and salsa are great. Customer Service sucks though. No wait staff and the guy behind the counter is seems as if he wishes he was somewhere else. Also if I am dining in why do I have to pay extra for chips and salsa just not right especially when there are three other Mexican Restaurant in walking distance who are all pretty good. If you don’t mind bad service and being nicked and dimed for everything then I would recommend otherwise I would recommend spending my hard earned money somewhere where they appreciate and treat the customers as if they are welcomed. I am only giving two stars because the food is good at least, but in todays economy that’s not enough. Oh and I have been in there 5 times in the last two months hoping it was just a fluke because the food is good but each time horrible service. So sad

Every time I’m here I get good food fast. The only problem is turning left onto rt 30 during rush hour on my way home. No Buenos. But good job all in all

The guacamole always taste fresh and spot on. I typically get get chorizo sopes and they are fantastic. They taste exactly like my favorite sopes when I travel to Mexico. Real authentic tasting food in Dyer for cheap. Their tamales and also their carnitas are excellent as well.

Excellent quality food. The quality of the food is always high. The prices are ok because of the quality. The restaurant is always clean, which is a big plus for me.

Excellent tamales! The burrito is also fantastic. The meat had a great grilled texture. The service was also excellent. They mean business. The only shortcoming was the horchata which seemed canned and lacked the creamy cinnamon punch I like.

I was jonesing for some Mexican food all day. Unilocalsearch for area Chipotles and Qdoba turned up nothing. I guess I live in a Mexican chain desert. I found Rancho Grande by chance and, I’m happy to report, my Mexican-based hunger was sated. Good service and good food, that’s what good lunch is all about.

We love their food. The price is great as well. Steak burrito with extra sour cream and avocado is the best.

This is the worst Rancho Grande that I’ve been to. I ordered the steak burrito with no onions, and they keep making it with no sour cream. They did this twice. They will mess your order up usually about 50% of the time…
