So I was invited to get some tacos w a friend of mine, and he suggested this place. It is about 2 miles from my house. I was of the minority walking into this restaurant, but with the support of my friend and the pleasant cashier I was able to get the guidance I needed to place my order. I ended up with 3 tacos. I ordered a carnita taco, chorizo, and broadened my horizons w/cow tongue in my third taco. Everything was really good! The chorizo was def my fav! I also ordered flan which was delicious! The tacos were priced right and very flavorful! I must say that I found the bullet holes in the front windows of the restaurant a little unsettling, but I’m willing to take my chances and return again for some amazing food! Keep up the great work!

Stopped for lunch because of Google reviews. Menu is in Spanish and I’m a Maine native, so ordered a chicken burrito Majado. More good than a reasonable person can eat in one sitting for $ 7.49. Probably waited 4 minutes for my food and there is an impressive salsa bar if you want to customize. It all looked fresh and had great flavor. I would definitely return!

The food is a 5. I do not think the English language has a word to describe how agonizingly slow this place is. It’s not like they are creating beef Wellington. Fuqua take this place on a project.

One of the best taco places in Durham. It’s cheap, it’s really good and service is quick. We got 6 tacos, 2 giant agua frescas, a coke, and a huge piece of tres leches cake for less than $ 20. It’s inexpensive for a reason: it’s not catering to the«white people» aesthetic. The menu is not translated to English and the orders are called out in Spanish. This is a place for Latinos, so if you want trendy décor with an English menu of typical Tex-Mex, go elsewhere. If you want to eat great tacos while watching soccer and listening to bachata, this is your joint. Some tips: when you walk in check out the agua Fresca flavors first — they are in the giant white buckets with a label in front of each flavor that day. Then go to the cashier and the menu is on the wall, order your food(and I highly recommend the agua Fresca). After you pay go get the agua Fresca and show the person your receipt. They will call out your order number in Spanish.

Attention! This place does the authentic mexican tacos! What I love about this place was the stuff you put on the tacos(all the toppings) was at a bar for you to use. I loaded up on the cilantro guilt free. They also have the bottled coke :) And yes, the place was clean! 1 lost star for the sketchy parking and wait time… but don’t let that deter you, if I could have given 4.5 stars I would have!

My first of the taco explorations on Roxboro Road and boy was it delicious! We stopped in about thirty minutes prior to closing and ordered a handful of tacos: asada(beef), chorizo and pollo(chicken). Honestly, I’m not going to lie, but the ordering process was a little intimidating for an English only speaker. The menu is on the wall as well as on paper, but there are lots of options and not much translation. Tacos were served up quick on two corn tortillas with a bar of toppings available. I love the pico, tons of cilantro and two types of salsas, hot and mild. And black label Valentina on each table. My tastebuds have been tweaked, the asada was hands-down knockout, although the chorizo was delicious as well. I can’t wait to return for more of that mouthwatering flavor.

This place is great, I feel like i’m back home in Arizona when i eat here! I will be honest in that I don’t eat meat so I haven’t tried a lot of the menu, however I always go with meat eaters and they’re pretty impressed. I get the tamales here and they are super cheap and amazing! The salsa bar is also fantastic, all the basics you would expect plus some interesting ones.

I’m just here for that salsa bar! … And everything else. It is super affordable, and we get a TON of food for far less than nearly anywhere else! Their tacos and burritos are incredible and you can get any kind of meat you can dream of in them. Back to their salsa bar! If you like spicy, super authentic stuff(not your average«Mexican restaurant salsa») seriously, STOCKUP.

This place is AMAZING. I finally got off my butt and went with a friend. We went just to try the tacos. Tacos are 1.50 a piece. We each ordered three, but two were more than enough! As reviewers have noted, your options for taco fillings include the standard chicken, pork, and beef. There is one taco that was described to us as an assortment of meats. I passed on that, but my friend got it and said it was wonderful. My favorite was the chicken tinga tacos. The salsa bar is pretty straight forward, but really, how many options do you need? I put salsa verde on everything, and it was great. Additionally, the other customers who were in there were super friendly. Everyone was pretty much talking and saying hi to everyone else — including us. The table over from us seemed excited we were there and said we would enjoy our tacos. They also helped us identify when our meal was ready. When you order, you get a number. Numbers are called out in spanish. We were a bit slow on the uptake. The family next to us helped make sure we got up when our numbers were called, and we all got a laugh out of our difficulty to count beyond 10 in spanish fluently. Just a nice experience all around.

In need of a Mexican fix we headed to North Durham to «The old Los Comales» but of course there was a line out the door. Not wanting to wait we headed up the road to Super Taqueria. I immediately regretted this move due to their limited taco selection. I like the«dirty meats», especially the cheek, tongue, and head. ST only does the normal chicken, pork, beef, and sausage. I settled on an asada taco to at least give them a try and also ordered a chiles rellenos. The taco was small but for $ 1.50 it seemed right and I piled it high with pico de gallo and green sauce. The salsa bar isn’t mind blowing but they have the basics. The chiles rellenos was only $ 5 for the platter and it was ok. The beans were good but everything else was very average. My husband ordered a bowl of the menudo and a chorizo taco. He loved the chorizo and stated it wasn’t greasy at all and delicious. As for the menudo it lacked the hominy he likes and it was very boney, way more than normal, but the broth was good. We washed it all down with a jumbo horchata for $ 2. I would say this place does a good job with tacos if you aren’t the adventurous type but everything else is average. The prices are some of the lowest I have seen in the area. If you are willing to spend a little more head over to Guanajuato Restaurant of Durham down the road because it blows this place away and they have ALL the dirty meats.

I often get the craving for Mexican food, and to me this place is as good as you can get, especially for the price! The food here is very authentic and tacos are $ 1.50! They have a variety of styles of meat, I have not sampled all of them, but I really like the chorizo and the asada. They have plenty of other options here, like quesadillas, burritos, tamales and tortas. I also love the tortas! They are very large and I can easily make two meals out of one torta. One of my other favorite things to order here is one of the fresh juices, my favorite is the pineapple, but they have several varieties to choose from. Don’t miss the salsa bar, they have two types as well as other toppings to add to your meal. This place is easy to miss when driving down Roxboro Street, look for a yellow sign out front, it kind of looks like a hole in the wall but the food is definitely worth stopping in for. You can easily get lunch or dinner for $ 5-$ 10 including a drink. The place is clean and the service is fast and friendly! Highly recommended!

Best tacos I’ve had around the triangle so far for an incredible price! Four tacos and a drink for $ 8! The tacos themselves are cooked perfectly with the meat being perfectly seasoned and not needing anything to be enjoyable. But to make it better you can add a variety of toppings or salsas from the salsa bar. Well cooked well seasoned and well prepared the taco trifecta ! Update: I also experienced the terrible GI issues about 10 hour after consumption but it was worth it and I’m fine conditioning my gut to that bacteria so long as the tacos keep coming out amazing.

All the following judgements are based on my experience and own opinion. Locations: In the middle of nowhere. It is close to a mexican grocery store. I have to say, if you do not look for this place intently, it maybe hard for you to realize that such a hidden gem exist in this neighborhood. Parking: Really confusing to me. Do be misguided by the vacant space behind the restaurant, because it is said that«ITISPRIVATE» and«TOWINGENFORCED» without stating which property it belongs to. I guess it’s a risk to park in this area. I instead just park on the road and pray that nothing will happen. Service: nice, friendly Food: ATTENTION: THISISTHEBESTPLACEFORTACO, SOPE! I fall in love with their sopes. Taco is also well balanced, even though I am not a fan of taco, I still eat 3 tacos! And they have salsa place for you to choose two spice sauce(green and red), two vegetable choices, and something else I did not remember. And it is free to refill those sauces. Sanitation: It is really clean and I saw their staffs voluntarily clean up the whole areas multiple times during my stay. I appreciate it! Plus: they have open kitchen so you basically can see their cooking process. Overall: It is a six star rating. The king of taco, and sope. And the price is cheap too. I will come back, I promise!

Food: 4.5 Ambiance: 2.5 Food/Price: 5.0 Walking up to Super Taqueria on a pristine stretch of Roxboro fills one with the warm nostalgia of discharged 9mms, oily chop shops, and clandestinely quaint amphetamine based transactions. But if you can get past all the heart warmy feels you will be more than pleasantly surprised by this authentic Mexican gem. Tacos is all I’ve eaten here so I can only speak to their superior quality, but to give you an idea of how good the chorizo, asada, and assortment of sauces are some context helps. Within four hours of eating these mouth-watering meat pockets an all out digestive assault was launched on both my upper and lower intestines, a rosy experience that only gets better when you consider the average Scoville rating of their offerings. And this happened not just the first, second, or third visit. I actually endured this peristaltic barbarism four times before finally developing some sort of flora immunity. But oh was it worth it, bullet proof bowels in tow Super Taqueria is now part of my regular line up. Bottom Line: The best tacos in the triangle and possibly the cheapest. *Note* About 50% of people who eat there notice this same trend, the other 50% seem to possess an inherent immunity.

During a hospital visit this week, i’ve eaten at both La Superior and Super Taqueria… it’s a close one but I think this one takes it. Much more authentic feel, portions are sizeable and meats are soft and juicy.
