I come here way more than I probably should because lately I’ve found that I simply can’t live without Starbucks before my shift at work. Typically I wouldn’t say a Starbucks warrants a Unilocal review, but I have to say one of the reasons why I’m reviewing this particular location is because of the fact that the baristas here actually remember you AND are extremely quick and efficient. I am always in and out with plenty of time before my work shift and my drink is always perfectly made and the employees are friendly. I removed a star only because their menu is incomplete and so the first couple times I came here I didn’t think I could get my favorite drink(strawberries and cream frap w/toffee nut syrup, aka«Crunchberry Frap»). Lo and behold I found out they did offer that, it just wasn’t on their menu. Not any of the employee’s faults, but mildly irritating enough for me to feel like this location doesn’t warrant 5 stars. Also gave it a high review because this location has a wide variety of gluten free snacks that make my tummy happy! Hooray!

I can’t believe it, but I’m giving this Starbucks two more stars after a revamp of their seating and vastly improved service. There are probably twice as many tables, more efficiently arranged, all clean, new, and modern. The folks working there now have been super nice. Coffee is the same, naturally.

Starbucks is an awesome chain of coffee shops. I love this one in particular as its close to my favorite mall. Parking is often times a struggle as the coffee shop is located in a busy business complex. Other than that it’s the same great coffee and customer service that Starbucks is know for providing.

I swear I usually love everything about Starbucks. I have never ever had a bad experience — Fayetteville, both Chapel Hill locations, Raleigh, Charlotte, etc. This location, however… It was 9pm and I just really needed two drinks for me and my mom, so I ran to this location because they were open later than the others. I came in to find the calm and focus of students studying, so I tried to stay quiet and extra friendly to not disturb anyone. The man greeted me and the woman looked at me while standing in front of the order screen. «Can I get one coffee frappuchino with hazelnut please, grande.» She gave me a gesture to indicate that was done. «I’d also like to add, I’m so sorry if this is complicated, but a salted caramel mocha frappuchino, but no mocha. I not a huge fan of the chocolate.» I laughed because the look she gave me was typical of people meeting a girl who doesn’t like chocolate. Her response, «basically a toffee nut frappuchino with caramel.» I added, «and the salt! I love that combination.» I was about to start telling her how I’ve been attempting to replicate the turbinado sugar — sea salt combo, but noticed she wasn’t too upbeat and didn’t want to bore her. She asked if I wanted whipped cream on the coffee with hazelnut, «no, my mom doesn’t like whipped cream.» I thought to myself, this is the first I’ve ever been asked to put whipped cream on a coffee frappuchino. The male started to make one of the drinks, but she stopped him. When she was finished, she brought out one hot and one cold drink. I corrected her and said they were both frappuchinos. The male coworker shouted, «ha! I told you I was making the right drink. She did say frappuchino.» The female looked at me and said«no, you did not say frappuchino.» She then chucked the hot SCM into the trash and pushed the coffee frappuchino in my direction. There it was — whipped cream. I didn’t say anything, I just picked up the drink and contemplated pulling off the top when she interrupted me — «What, that’s what you wanted right?» «Well, um, no… I said no whipped cream, but – » «No you didn’t,» she snapped at me angrily. «It’s okay, I can just scoop it off,» I replied while fiddling with the top when she just took it from me and did it herself without saying a word. She popped a new top on, slid the drink in my direction, and stormed off into the kitchen. The male coworker came over and handed me my SCM frappuchino and gave me a straw when he noticed she hadn’t give me a straw for the other drink. He just smiled after it all, noticing my confusion by the whole interaction with the lady. I was tempted to ask for a receipt to prove I didn’t add whipped cream to the coffee frappuchino. I was tempted to tell the female worker off, as I know what I ordered. I’ve only ever ordered frappuchinos, so why would I say a latte? My mom will toss a drink if I have whipped cream added to it — so why would I ask them to add it? I walked out with my drinks, no «Have a good night,» or «Thank you.» Honestly, I thanked them more than lady spoke to me. The drinks came out okay, but I didn’t want to cause another issue by complaining about quality of products. Needless to say, the only reason I would return is to find a manager and report the incident.

This has to be the slowest Starbucks in the chain. I would understand if this was the first time. However, it is all the time. If you want a cup of coffee in less then 15 minutes don’t come here. Someone needs to hire more people at this place.

Chad and christan are awesome… remade my drink because it wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be(trying something new). Great customer service is something you just don’t always come by these days.

I continue to return here because of the staff. They’re always pleasant, friendly, professional, and helpful. They make great recommendations when I’m looking to try something new and they’re kind. I settle in on random afternoons and I see that other customers are always treated well, too. The staff also has a great relationship with each other, which is wonderful to see. A few months ago the store was refurnished and styled. The new set up is perfect for professionals who want to get work done. The Internet can be slow if too many people are in there, but even when the store is full, there are no real distractions. A great place to sit and chat or settle in and work!

Not the best Starbucks around. Service was quick however my food and drink had been sitting there and they did not even call the order. I found a table set my things and finally decided to ask. The barista just looked at me. The costumer service is one star they are rude and not friendly at all. I guess they choose who to be nice with. Will think twice about coming here again.

Solid baristas, especially if you’re staying for a while and you see how they interact with other customers: they’re friendly, they know people’s orders, and they are friendly to each other as coworkers. I mostly come to study, but have telecommuted for work as well; my experiences have always been positive. Lines can be long in waves throughout the day, but other times you can waltz right in and out super quickly. Seating can be a little tight and parking competes with PFChang, Jared, and the day spa, which keeps this at 4 stars.

WORSTSTARBUCKS I have ever been to. Horrible customer service. Very slow and rude. Suddenly makes Dunkin donuts taste better. Avoid!!!

This is my neighborhood Starbucks so I’m here at a minimum 3 days a week. The staff is always friendly and the barista knows my order that I rarely have to wait much for my drink. As good as a Starbucks gets in my book.

Not my best visit to a Starbucks. Inattentive staff and a drink that was much less than full. But the staff was nice once I engaged them and asked for help and of course the coffee was good.

Favorite Starbucks in Durham. In the plaza across the street(Fayetteville Rd) from Southpoint Mall. Friendly and energetic baristas, clean environment, ample seating. Took me a minute to figure this out: electrical outlets are UNDER the booth along the wall.

I have been to many Starbucks locations, and this is one of my least favorites. For one thing, it’s really difficult to park. While I don’t mind walking, it can be annoying if it’s dark and cold and I have a backpack full of books & my computer so I can meet a friend and study. However, they do have a nice long wooden table for spreading out your work. The music here is too loud, but the staff is pretty nice. I’ve had some less than stellar experiences, but also some very good ones. This Starbucks is the closest to where I live, so it works, but I wish there was another one nearby… or that Bean Trader’s stayed open later.

Definitely once of the nicer starbucks! Have not been disappointed in their drink making skills so far! It is a little small insider though and parking can be a real pain, but the service is good :)

This is a great Starbucks! Parking can be a bit of a pain sometimes, although they have about five spaces exclusively for Starbucks customers. It looks like they put in some new leather chairs and a large table for groups, and the staff is always friendly. I have no complaints about this location and go here when I have a gift card or do not have time to go to Bean Traders down the road!

Can’t say enough about this particular Starbucks. Love the atmosphere, the coffee, the staff is great. When I meet a client there, it always makes a good impression and there is enough room to work and talk. The music selections are always great.

Yeah, I support the coffee giant. As a frequent traveler I like that I have something familiar and consistent when I’m away from home. This Starbucks, which was thankfully right next to my hotel, totally delivered on everything I need. The baristas in the morning were so very friendly and remembered me when I came back later to get a refill even though I was in business clothes instead of the just-out-of-bed tracksuit. I like that kind of service. Thanks for making my week on the road a little sweeter :)

This Starbucks is right across the street from South Point Mall and right next to PF Chang’s off Fayettville Road. The parking lot is a bit of a pain to get in and out of, but the place is always busy and the baristas are friendly and quick. Coffee lovers are always in here typing furiously on their laptops or working on a paper and chatting over a cup o’ joe. They always have a nice selection of sale items and unique coffee lover’s gifts, if you need a gift for someone who has everything. IMO, Starbucks does not have the BEST coffee around, but they are convenient and consistent when you are in a caffeine slump.
