Regular nice Starbucks. There is outdoor seating and though it’s next to the parking, it’s sort of a parking cul-de-sac and 20 feet lower than the road, so it’s pleasant enough. It can be tricky to get back to 15⁄501. I think the solution is to go to the back(north) of the mall by driving by the barbecue place. That way you can turn left with a stoplight.

This is my favorite Starbucks. when ever they make to much of my drink they give me what ever is left over for free. When I use my birthday reward they sing happy birthday and they all get along well. this place makes you feel at home. the drinks are always perfectly made due to how much the staff cares. This will most likely be my favorite Starbucks for a while.

Unimpressed. I have been here several times, each time hoping to love it, almost every time feeling disappointed. This location should remember there is a Starbucks with amazing service right next door in Barnes and Nobles. I usually would go there instead except for the fact that they can’t give me Starbucks points on my card, and I don’t think they’re open early in the morning. This location does have one really great employee, Charlie. He is always cheerful, smart and helpful. He told me about their«buy coffee get a $ 5 gift card promotion» during Christmas, which resulted in my happiness and extra sales for them… smart and helpful on his behalf. Unfortunately after today I don’t plan on going back. One particular employee, Melissa, had in attitude what she lacked in helpfulness. I asked her to load money on my card for today’s purchase with some extra for next time. She charged the purchase to my visa and then loaded the card for next time. I explained that I wanted the card loaded to use for this purchase and she said it couldn’t be done and hoped I’d accept that. I knew it could be done because Charlie had done it before. When I asked her to have someone help her she walked away to the back room. Thankfully Charlie came over and quickly fixed it all. He explained that it can be done but requires learning how to do it, which is apparently something not all employees feel is in their job requirement! Another time I was here there was a lady who had been waiting for her drink for a while. She waited patiently while others were served before her. She finally spoke up and said she’d like her drink for free if she didn’t get it soon. It was obvious she had been forgotten. The barista finally made her drink and tried to make it look like he hadn’t forgotten her. No apologies, and no extras thrown in, aside from more attitude, which is in abundance at this location. I was shocked alongside her! In general this just doesn’t seem to be the most pleasant Starbucks I’ve been to. I suspect some management issues as too many staff members seem unhappy and are dragging… perhaps some free coffee samples would perk them up??? I plan on heading over to Barnes and Nobles from now on, which is why I actually asked Charlie to only load my card with enough for this purchase instead of the extra I initially loaded… so they actually lost some of my business today, as they will in the future. Poor Charlie. He should consider going to a new location too.

I have never ever planned to review any starbucks(except the one right by highline — R starbucks) But on this Christmas day, with everything is closed, or close or closed. I want to send my humongous thanks to starbucks and the staff who have to work their ass off today. Thanks for saving my addiction — i want to spend some money on bakeries — from hell. 5 stars. only for today.

It’s a fairly typical Starbucks as far as service, friendly enough baristas, clean counters and attractive lighting. I’m only giving them three stars for the parking. Parking is a real pain for this location, and when they are busy, you may not be able to find a spot. Seating is typically always occupied as well. I wish they had a drive thru!

My order was simple: one specialty hot drink with no special requests and a slice of pumpkin bread. Drink was missing the whipped cream that comes with it, and I ended up with banana nut bread. Was out of the parking lot before realizing, so not worth returning and wasting food. Barista seemed distracted and I had to ask twice for my(incorrect) pumpkin bread. Everyone drops the ball sometimes, and this was just one visit(though my first to this location), but maybe management will see this and step things up.

I don’t normally go to this Starbucks, but had a few hours to get some work done and I was craving a Starbucks Vanilla Latte. Drink hit the spot, but the atmosphere was definitely not ideal for coffee shop working. The music was way too loud and the internet completely stopped working halfway through my stay. Workers didn’t know how to get it to start again, so I just packed up my things and left early. You are much better off spending half as much for a better quality drink and working in the many local coffee shops around Durham.

Great Starbucks! Plenty of seating for customers and the coffee tastes delicious as to be expected from Starbucks. I stayed here long enough to get a couple refills. I will return when I am the area.

I walked up to the register, the cashier just stared at me– her name is Akeisha. No greeting– just silence. I actually had to greet HER! And even after I said hello, she just stared at me. The only thing she said to me was the total. No thank you, nothing! Handed me my card back and looked at the next person. This isn’t McDonald’s. I expected better customer service– especially when I’m paying $ 4 for a drink. Won’t be coming back here. Have a great day Akeisha!

Friendly staff, great ambience to get some work done and soak up the sun! Plenty of parking, right next to a FedEx to get chores done after work!

Summer of 2014, I visited a couple of times during early morning rush hour for a last-minute– burst-before classes . They were rather quick despite a long line, I was never late to class. One of the baristas suggested an Oprah Chai Tea extra dirty(2 shots). I had never had the drink and not a fan of chai, I was rather reluctant to try it, but they assured me that they would make something else if I disliked it. Surprisingly, I liked it. Unfortunately, I several afternoons, I wanted an area to chill and study, but there was nothing available. I would add a star if they provided additional seating and umbrellas outside to shade from the summer sun.

I gave four stars because it’s convenient but nothing spectacular or extraordinary at least as far as Starbucks shops go. I haven’t gotten any sass from them unlike some of the other reviewers stated. They has some pretty good patio seating right outside the place which you don’t see everywhere but the inside is average/normal.

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. Don’t come here if you are in a rush. They also messed up my order. How hard is it to NOT toast a croissant? I will be going to other Starbucks from now on.

This was an a-ok experience. On a Friday morning around 10AM or so, the line inside was pretty long. Seems local college students were occupying the tables, as well, so it was pretty busy. The baristas/employees were friendly, but not too efficient on getting the line down. I had ordered a vanilla macchiato &2 chocolate cheesecake brownies… my coffee actually was ready before I received my brownies. Parking is really an issue, as they share one with a strip mall & a neighboring restaurant. Getting in & out of the lot was rather a chore. The store itself is small & crampt, but they do have outdoor seating. There is also a lot of Starbucks product inside the shop.

This location has awful customer service. This is the third time I have been here and, in my book, three strikes; you’re out! The first time I came through, it was 9PM. They were not busy at all. No line, and five people were sitting at tables. The woman who helped us was too busy talking to her friends at a nearby table. She got our drinks, which seemed like the worst thing in the world for her to make, and finally sent us on our way. We asked for milk because it wasn’t out, and she answered with, «What? Why?» Because it’s your job? With barely any eye contact or a «thank you,» there was no welcoming feeling. The second visit, there were a couple people in line. 4 in the afternoon, and not too busy. A nice lady helped us out, and we were trying to use our IOS gift card. It would not work for her. So she kindly asked someone else to help, I’m guessing the shift manager? The woman that took over ran our card twice and said«sorry, I can’t help you, it’s not our fault. Call the company, but could you pay, now?» Really? What is with the attitude? Today, 4 of us went in. It was 4PM again. It was pretty busy with many sitting down and 8 in line. Our drink orders were pretty simple. First, no problems. The second, they didn’t have a flavor. No problem, the drink was changed to a vanilla latte. The employee already marked the cup, a hot cup, which was correct, and then asked if we wanted ice in it? No? The third drink was no problem. The forth was an iced tea lemonade. They got all of the orders filled, not very friendly again, and we got to the car and realized, the iced tea lemonade was an iced COFFEE lemonade?! What? Really wrong and gross. We will not be going back again. The attitude and atmosphere needs a major adjustment.

Caveat: I never liked Starbucks. Now as to why I rated an establishment 5 stars when I dislike them. The shoppe is run by the most friendliest of people and I found the experience a positive one. I never did understand nor cared about their absurd size terminologies and just wanted a cup of coffee, light and sweet. There was a small selection of baked goods as well as desserts to tingle the palate. A small inventory of items to purchase hugged the back-wall and center. I was greeted by Keithen who added a touch of warmth to the initial contact. He politely explained which cup size was which and took my order. I paid and bought some after-dinner-mints and waited by the counter. The shop is small with only four tables and chairs as well as one couch and space to sit at the counter. My order arrived and I was pleasantly surprised the coffee tasted pretty good. I sat down at the table with my coffee and looked around absorbing the pleasant décor. The free wifi and outdoor seating was a plus. Albeit small, the shop met my(high) expectations of a quality establishment. I now go to Starbucks in a semi-regular basis to get a coffee and just relax.

Cramped Starbucks! It may not be smaller than the two Chapel Hill Starbucks locations, but it feels smaller due to the small amount of seating. Generally speaking it’s okay, but if you’re looking for a place to sit, you may have issues on busy days.

On the scale of Starbucks — this place gets a 3… ALMOST a 4. The shop is really small, which makes it pretty difficult to get a seat at any time. I have often had to sit outside or right next to the bathroom in order to get a seat. The spots with chargers nearby are coveted, of course, and there are no chargers or waterproof outlets outside. Bummer! They would get an extra star if they were appropriately staffed. This place always seems to be short a hand, and the lines take about 15 minutes to get through, no joke. If you’re a remote employee and need to count on time — just grab a seat if you can, wait for the line to die down, and get some work done. You’ll be standing there for a while!

I should start by saying I am not a huge Starbucks fan. Out of respect to my local, friendly cafes and numerous friends making their livings at these coffee houses, I try to avoid corporate coffee as much as possible. That said, convenience and caffeine headaches sometimes force me to pop in. During my long commute down 15 – 501 towards Durham this afternoon, I stopped in at the New Hope Commons location and decided to catch up on some emails. I have to say, I really enjoy this particular Starbucks. It’s on the small side, with five or six intimate tables down the side, a cushioned area to lounge in, and a longer, study-group sized table in the center. The pastries are standard. You can find them in any of the other million locations. The coffee is just alright, but the service was fantastic! Sweet, informative, & efficient. Plus, if I go by for a coffee creation later today I’ll receive two bucks off. :-) I thought I would be walking into a crowded line of people anxiously waiting to grab their lattes and go, but it was quite the opposite. Very relaxed. There were two students nearby making plans to visit DPAC, a handful of business men on a break enjoying the outside seating, and a few others listening to the soft, often catchy music playing in the background while using the free Wi-Fi. I probably won’t make it a habit, but if the traffic has me beat, this is the Starbucks I will escape to.

It’s an average sized Starbucks, got a few tables, but not very spacious feeling. It’s more long & narrow. Not a great place to go on cold days because the temps drop whenever someone opens the door. I used to love Starbucks, but those days are a bittersweet memory now with their craptastic Pike roast and steadily declining cleanliness.
