Ruby Tuesday

Quality and quantity of food are bad. The salad bar at a grocery store is better. Gristly steak. Spaghetti squash side had no seasoning. Plastic mugs were old and very stained to the point the water looked dirty.
Service at the table was ok, but the salad bar wasn’t being restocked properly.

Much better experience today than earlier this week! Everyone was kind and the service was quick and professional. Our drinks stayed full. The food was tasty. We had a good time. I ordered the raspberry lemonade, which was tart and delicious. I also had the grilled salmon Caesar salad. The lettuce was crisp and the salmon was perfectly flakey. The only downsides were they were out of the apple ice cream dessert thing we wanted and didn’t know til after we ordered it. That was a bit disappointing, and one of the refills for my friend’s strawberry fizz was a bit flat. Also, the booths need to be recovered… this one was cracked too. Aside from that, everything was courteous, professional, and delicious.

Consistently great good and experience considering the genre of eateries. Friendly and helpful wait staff.

Ravioli was yummy and had a hint of tomato in the cream sauce. I had salmon which was way overcooked but had a good flavor. We also had tempura green beans which were OK and I liked the sauce it came with. Service was exceptional. Is the ranch dressing on the salad bar pre-​made now? That’s sad.

Two times at this location and both times have sucked. Wrong food from what was ordered. Cooked poorly, salad bar a mess. Skip this place! Go to McDonalds for a better experience!

stopped in for a to go order. place seems unorganized, not very clean. hard to understand why a business would go to such expense in putting up a nice building, only to staff it with people who frankly don’t seem to have any pride in their workplace.

We visited Ruby Tuesday on yesterday. We sat down to order and had a 30 minute wait just to get our water and lemonades. We became sweaty and hot, so I went to the bar to ask them was the vent closed in our area. She said the Air conditioner was broken in the kitchen. I said what, in the kitchen, she said yes that is why the heat is coming out of the kitchen. She said she was hot too, she had water running off her nose. She said she was going to let the manager know. Then our waitress was approaching the table with our drinks. I asked her what was wrong with the A/​C. She said it was broken. So we cancelled our order and left for the Cheesecake Factory.
Again poor customer service, liar’s. The sanitation in that place and the heat was unbearable. I hope noone got sick off the food!

Blatantly racist server that was perfectly polite to other customers whose skin was not light. Never check on our table, and when on third attempt to flag her down just craned her neck back to ask «Oh, do you want something?» Ordered soup and salad bar. Took 35 minutes to get my soup (they only serve 3 kinds and all are pre made daily), and only after i inquired about it. When we go to leave, took 15 minutes to bring our check and run credit card (other patrons did not wait at all). When the server returned to the table with card and receipt, she dropped it on the table, ran off and there was no pen! So we go to the hostess and asked for a pen, to which she replied «Yeah let me find you one, your server said she didn’t have one» WTF!!! First off, she could have just said something to begin with, but secondly WHAT SERVER THAT HAS WORKED MORE THAN ONE SHIFT IN THEIR LIFE DOES NOT HAVE A PEN!!!” Will never go back here, and advise anyone who is not dark skinned to neither.”

I really like the ribs here, but I don’t come here unless I have a coupon. The price is just a bit expensive and now you can’t get the salad bar as one of your two sides with the ribs. This is super unfortunate, because their salad bar is the best. The croutons are the best croutons out there.
Last time we were in was a weeknight and it was a bit slow. The salad bar actually looked like it hadn’t been touched in an hour or so (you know the way mayo starts to look if it hasn’t been stirred up and has had air touch it??). This was a bit surprising as usually it looks pretty fresh.
The waitress kept bringing the garlic rolls though, and that’s always a plus!
The bathroom was clean, the tables were clean, and the wait staff was friendly.

I can’t in good conscience give Ruby Tuesday 4 full stars, more like 3 ½, with a rounding up. That being said, they are definitely one of my more highly thought of national chain restaurants. I’ve found their locations to be attractive, clean, and the food to be consistently good.
I always get the salad bar, which is always well stocked with fresh produce. I don’t ever remember encountering wilted lettuce. Love that the have peas and edamame– I’m easy to please.
Most of my visits to Ruby Tuesday’s have been on weekday evenings because their Happy Hour at the bar is a really good value. All of their appetizers (with the exception of sampler platter and fried green beans) are $ 5 and you can add a salad bar for $ 2.99. $ 8+ drink and tip is a really good value for spinach and artichoke dip and unlimited salad bar trips. They make a really good sangria too, for the alcohol aspect of Happy Hour.
As far as apps go, I really like: spinach and artichoke dip, quacamole (an enormous portion), cheese sticks.
Not so great: shrimp fondue (according to my husband) and fried green beans.
I haven’t ordered off the menu and dined in in a couple years, but I recall liking their zucchini cakes entrée and their broccoli cheese soup.
All in all, not a bad choice, there should be something on the menu for everyone and the locations deliver consistently good food.

Ruby Tuesday’s is a typical chain, and I had been to other RT locations, so I was familiar with their concept. This was my first time at the Hwy 54 location in Durham. I ordered the lunch portion of the sliced tenderloin, which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The meat was a little over-​cooked for my taste (I asked for medium, and it was more like well done). Everything else was good, but the portion was definitely small. I guess I should have known better since the price was under $ 10.
Truth be told, I primarily came b/​c I had a $ 3 off coupon. In a pinch Ruby Tuesday’s is a decent family style chain restaurant, but much better choices nearby.

Wife and I went last night. Food and service were both ok but not great. I had the ribs and bacon wrapped shrimp. Wife had shellfish trio (lobster, shrimp and crabcake). My ribs were suppose to be a half rack but it closer to one third rack. My shrimp was tasty but they only provided 3 on a skewer. Wife was a little disappointed with her shellfish trio because everything was cold. Fortunately, we both had salad bar and that was good. We’ll go back again and give it another try.

Good food and a steady source of great entertainment. «Dominique“is my ace and favorite waitress — I’d recommend you asking for her, but I think she has moved to the Northgate store now. «Sway» or «Demetrius» are more than adequate, and have been around for quite a while. They’ve had quite a staff shake-​up, so I’m in a strange, uncomfortable zone when I go there now, due to new management not having the staff as well oiled as Mark. I often walk in now with no hostess and end-​up standing there, awaiting service. This never happened with Mark, and I normally went to the place 5 – 6 times a week, literally. Hopefully things tighten-​up, so I and many others I know that have stopped going as much, will get back into the groove.

Wonderful food (the Blackened New York Strip with a wonderfully spicy Cajun sauce on it) and, of course, the obligatory Double Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce… loved it and rolled out completely satisfied! Jordan was our server and she was great; will definitely ask for here next time.

Decent food and a friendly bartender who gave quick service. Overall good experience.

I visited this location on a busy Friday night. The salad bar was stocked but dirty and I only ate a few bites, I think the ranch dressing was sour. The appetizer was the queso and chips decent portions but it honestly tasted like regular Velveeta cheese and taco seasoning. Nothing spectacular. We were seated right away but the waiter took 10 mins to even get our drink order. I’d let you know about the actual meal but it still hasn’t come out of the kitchen…

Went for a last minute late night dessert. Our server was friendly & efficient. A fast sweet & a $ 5 cocktail, we were not disappointed.

I came here on a Saturday during the lunch hour, and it wasn’t too busy. We were seated right away. However, the service was a little bit slow. It took a very long time for our server to take our order and to refill our waters. Though I will say that our waiter was very polite and apologetic about having to make us wait.
The food was delicious. I love their cheesy garlic biscuits! For lunch, I had the Louisiana Fried Shrimp with the broccoli and mashed potatoes. My fiancé had the Shrimp Parmesan Pasta. We were both extremely happy with what we ordered, and the servings were big enough for us to take home for another meal.

Service extremely slow. Wow I have had two servings of salad and a bowl of soup and my husbands burger still has not shown up. Staff is too busy conversing with each other…

Our department has lunch here from time to time. They are really good with groups at lunch time and do take reservations.
It’s a good choice if everyone wants something different. Salads and burgers are very good.
