OK — I have surveyed a lot of the NCHD dealerships and some comment were not so good! Rom melts HD on RT70 in Durham is a very professional Dealership. If you live within 10 miles this one is the place to go! My FLTRU had an electrical problem that was long standing, over a year. My GPS did not have power! I am a mechanical engineer and could not find the break in power. In two days they fixed it. Since I have had HD’s since 1970 — to say I was frustrated would be an understatement. When I bought this bike, used, I also bought the HD maintenance contract. So, this fix cost me $ 50 which is the deductable! I also have a 2005 Sportster that needs work. Jennifer Donnell rocks. She provided one of the best sales experiences that my husband has had. Jen was always polite, very professional and extremely patient. She never tried to push my husband into a sale, but made sure that he was very comfortable and happy with everything. My husband worked with her for almost six months. Jen kept in touch and followed up with new product or information that would be of interest to him. When the time was finally right to make a purchase, the sale went very smoothly. We ended up arriving towards the end of the day; yet we never felt rushed. When time came to sign all of the paperwork, their finance guy Jordan Fox was very professional and kept us entertained knowing that we all wanted to go home. We don’t think we’ve laughed that much signing financing paperwork. We definitely see a big difference in our experience at this Harley-Davidson dealership between Shelton(previous owners) and Rommel. My husband bought his first Harley at Shelton three years ago. Under Rommel ownership, from the moment you walk in, you are greeted and everyone seems very genuine and concerned with how you are doing. When the sale is complete, your sales rep takes you on a «Poker Run» around the dealership introducing you to each department and then providing you with information on the local HOG chapter. Also, the service department is open seven days a week. All of our visits to Rommel H-D have been great.

The buying experience was very good. However they failed to pay off my trade for over 30 days. After making every payment on time for 3 years, I now have a late fee mark on my account with HD. This dealership has done nothing to try and keep my business after spending over 50k there in the past 3 years you would think they could at the very least respond to an email. Well they haven’t. Think twice about this dealer. There are plenty of HD dealers that will bend over backwards for good quality customers.

checkout at the register was rude. other customers were told to pull a candy cane out of a mug for a discount, we were not. then she demanded my phone number to use a credit card(it has my photo on the card). will not return here.
