Overpriced. Shady. Asinine coupon policy. I just moved to the area and have been looking for a good dry cleaner. These guys took my 2 shirts and 2 pants and told me when to come back. Prices not listed anywhere. I asked how much it would be, they gave me an annoyed look and went to look on the computer. The lady at the counter spoke an incomprehensible version of English, so all I could understand was that shirts were $ 2.40 each(to launder, not dry clean) and it was either going to be $ 16 something for the pants or $ 16 something all together. They did mention that there was a coupon online. When I went to pick up, I pulled up the coupon on my phone and the lady at the counter said she couldn’t take the coupon off my phone, it had to be printed out. I asked if she was sure, and she said«yes, there’s no barcode or anything on it – you need to print it out». Me: «you want me to drive home and print this? There’s not going to be a barcode on it.» Her: «if you want…». Okay, I drove home and printed out the 10% off coupon with no barcode on it. Wasted 20 minutes of my time, burnt unnecessary fuel and unnecessarily killed some trees printing… so much for a green cleaner. When I got back there, she took my coupon, folded it in half and threw it out. Wow, I’m glad we got that sorted out. As I was walking out, I even got a «Have a greaaaaat day» in the most sarcastic tone ever. TSA or DMV, take note… you may find your future employee of the year here. Dear owners – I don’t expect you to hire the best and brightest to run the front desk of a dry cleaners, but it wouldn’t hurt to put them through just a bit of training. If you’re claiming to be a «green» cleaner, don’t make me drive home to print un-necessary coupons. Don’t want to take digital coupons? Don’t offer them online. Here you could have had 2 new loyal customers, spending several hundred dollars each with you annually, for as long as we continue to live in the neighborhood. One crappy first impression, and we’re never coming back. Could have been avoided with a bit of training. Oh well, your loss.
