I’ve never understood the concept of a used sports store, but I was looking for some old soccer equipment so my intramural team could practice. Play It Again seemed to have a ton of hiking/camping equipment, but not so much in the way of everyday sports. What they did have was a little too worn down, and not that much cheaper than it would be for me to just buy it all brand new. If you’re on a tight budget, you might be able to rummage through here and find something that’s worth buying, but I unfortunately did not have that much luck.

I tend of come across used sporting equipment a lot. Sometimes it’s just by accident, but I have been known to snag old stuff from friends of mine who are just going to throw it away. I bring it here. The ‘buyback’ program at Play It Again is exceptionally good… They take most anything sports related that you’ve got and give you something back for it. Woot. I’m not sure if this would be the first place I’d come for buying new stuff, though. With some of the crap I’ve sold them over the years, I question the quality of the merchandise. In fairness to them, though, I don’t know the kind of repair or sorting programs they have for the used gear they collect.
