This place is awesome. I always try to buy locally when I am looking for a gift. If you are looking for an Abercrombie shirt, this is not the place. However, if you are like I am and you want your gift to be unique and memorable, this IS your place. The atmosphere is cruncy, granola in the way you would expect a place on the west coast to be. Incense, temple bells, clothing and more can be found here. I have at least one thing from this place in each room of my home. My friends seem to love every gift I buy here. You need to go into this store and dedicate an hour to browsing. You will NOT leave empty-handed.

Native Threads is a stinky, incense infused shop that sells things that would have been right at home in the 60’s. They have a great array of clothing to great bug floppy summertime hats. They have absolutely beautiful beads. The only hang ups are they are over priced. Shirts that he could get away with $ 25.00-$ 30.00 will run closer to $ 40 or $ 50. oh, and everything you buy in there stinks like a filthy hippy for at least a dozen or so washes. It’s the only place to go, though, when my inner hippy needs some indulging.

This quirky little building stands out on Ninth Street, and its offerings are quite different from those of its neighbors. Inside, you’ll find clothing(mostly of the natural, flowy kind) from India and Indonesia, sarongs, and lots of incense. They’ve got a wall of jewelry and loose beads, and a number of decorative objects scattered all around, from big wooden elephants to the patina-ed iron frogs that sit outside.
