It took two weeks to set up an appointment to come out and measure for a tub shower panel for my bathroom. I described in great detail the area and what I wanted. Two guys finally came out and said that they couldn’t install a glass door because my tub was acrylic. No big deal, I just wish I hadn’t waited two weeks for that news. Problem was, when they followed me upstairs to look at the bathroom, I heard them muttering something about their shoes. When I went back downstairs, I noticed that they had tracked mud all over, and i mean ALLOVER my white carpet, which I had just had cleaned less than a week ago. I pointed it out and they just shrugged and left. NOTCOOL

Great Service! I had them make a custom table top glass for our dining room table and a ¼″ mirror for our mud room. The price was better than other glass companies and they were able to deliver and install/glue the mirror for me for a very reasonable price. I also got a free Ozone friendly glass cleaner that works better than Windex.

This is such a wonderful business. They will get your storefront windows looking perfect. Highly recommend– one of the great Durham businesses.

Weird thing to review? Yeah, SO! This place is flippin’ sweet. Seriously, why do you need to visit J & H Glass? Wull, lemme tell you. If you have a broken mirror, or a family heirloom cupboard with a broken glass, then you need to put your broken goods in your car and drive over to Holloway Street in Durham. About a year and half ago, the GINORMOUS mirror resting above my dresser came crashing down to the floor and broke into a bajillion pieces. Luckily, no one was gazing into the mirror at the time! The mirror frame sat in my laundry room for over a year. When I moved the dresser into our guest room, I was determined to get the mirror repaired. We piled it into the back of our SUV and drove it to Home Depot. They couldn’t repair it. They don’t have mirrors big enough. It was gonna require a custom job. Lowes Hardware was also a no-go. We passed J & H Glass on our way to Durham and thought we should try them. Not only could they repair the mirror, they could do it immediately. The repair only set us back about $ 65. Not bad. Tragedy struck again while moving an antique wooden cupboard with a hand made wooden door with inlay glass. We removed the door and drove it to J & H. They replaced the glass with a thicker glass. They told us to stop back by in an hour or two and it would be ready. And it was. $ 33 and our cabinet door was good as new. Another plus– these guys are big marketers and give you a giant J & H memo block of notes on each visit. Thanks for restoring our furnishings J & H!
