I have had nothing but a great experience living at Heights at Meridian. The apartments are very spacious and the lake/walking trails are a plus! Not only is management very friendly and approachable, but the maintenance team is also very quick to respond to any concerns. I couldn’t ask for more in an apartment complex.

Are you a pet owner or thinking of adopting a dog or cat? DONOTLIVEHERE! We lived in this highly overpriced apartment in South Durham for a year and decided to move to a brand new apartment down the road that was $ 150 cheaper a month with much nicer amenities. The experience we had was subpar for the price… thin walls, thin windows to keep our A/C and heat running full blast, lack of community activities, and to top it all off hidden pet fees after the move out date. That’s right, $ 1,210 to replace the entire carpet and I quote from the head of maintenance«This is typical, we do this a lot for hypo allergenic reasons because any pet urine that is found even after being cleaned is a problem so the entire apartment carpet needs to be replaced». The only spots with urine residue was underneath the carpet in two spots in the living room. Myself, my roommate, and everyone I talk to has called complete BS on this claim as our place was spotless and anything our 1 year old black lab did was cleaned up immediately since she was crate trained while we were gone. Being a corporation rather than a landlord, they have the power to take all pet fees, security deposits, and send the remaining balance to collections if it isn’t paid in a «timely» manner. Your pet fees and pet rent don’t count towards the carpet replacement so just be warned you WILL be subject to a $ 1,010 fee at the end of your lease if you own a pet that could urinate on the carpet plus they’ll take your $ 200 security deposit. NC is thriving with apartments being built all over and they are much cheaper than The Heights and just as nice… look elsewhere please!
