Hakky Instant Shoe Repair

I just picked up two pairs of heels and one pair of boots. This was my first experience with Hakky, and I will not return. While relatively inexpensive, the repairs of both pairs of heels was patchy at best. I had to point out the sections that were missed. The store employee tried to explain the poor quality of repair by saying that the wrap was missing on the heels. While the wrap was missing in a few spots, I had specifically asked about this and the probability of repair when I dropped off the shoes. The store employee who accepted the shoes (a different person) assured me that they could repair them. Given this, I pressed the matter, and the employee melted some black wax on the heels, which served to cover gaps, but left rough edges. In addition to the patchy heel work, there was a worn section at the toe that was completely overlooked. When I pointed this section out, the employee took a can of black spray paint and sprayed the toe area. This was a five-​second fix that I could have accomplished with a permanent marker and did not address the worn, uneven wear. I would not recommend them.

Highly recommended. A 24 hour turnaround on a tune up for a pair of mens boots. Need some glueing around soles plus overall conditioning to the leather. Very prompt and straightforward service from the man I presume to be the owner and primary cobbler. Will be break if I need any more work on shoes or leather goods. Right inside one of the main mall entrances so convenient access.

They ruined my shoes, so I brought them back, basically they said it was the way I wear them. Two workers, father and son.
The son is usually nicer than dad, however on this day after using their services for 4 years, I left and will not return.
Since they glued back and tried to repair my one shoe, which was a mess, I tried to show him the other shoe so he could see it was not how I wore them. With attitude, he said he did not need to see the other shoe.
Not going back.

I was disappointed I did not find this to be a good experience. Of the two employees, one of them made me very uncomfortable… the other one took an extremely long time to find my shoes. The price was good and one of the two pairs of boots has held up. The other pair did not fare so well. I had the rubber on the heel replaced, as it was falling off and very worn. The first day I wore them again, the heel rubber fell off. I was so uncomfortable I am not even willing to go back and complain… I am taking my shoes somewhere else.

Friendly, local shoe repair place. Also sell cowboy boots and other leather care products. The guy is a real local and treats you nice.
