I’ve lived nearby for over a year and had somehow overlooked this place until recently. Really enjoyed the experience here. You can tell that they have a lot of regulars and that says a lot about this place to me. Plenty of friendly diners that will start up a warm conversation with you too. I have only been for breakfast so far and it was somewhat basic as far as the omelet goes, but tasty nonetheless. I need to get back over there soon to try out the rest!

I’m from a place that has these types of family-owned, home-cooked restaurants on every corner. After having moved to this area, it’s sometimes hard to find a gem like this. The food was exactly what I was expecting– quick, no frills, and completely fatty(that’s a good thing)! Don’t get a salad or wrap here, get the classic burger, dogs, or one of the southern style specials and unbutton those pants, because you’ll definitely need more room. We finished our meal off with the banana pudding and I could have kissed the person who made it. The staff has just as much charm as the restaurant and made sure our cups were full and gave great recommendations. Will be coming back if we need a cheap and hardy meal!

Valentines Day disappointment!!! Didn’t want to wait an hour at Cracker Barrel so I decided to stop in for breskfast. Ordered two checked flags which is two eggs, a meat, hash browns, and a waffle. Well waffle was decent, eggs were o.k. hash browns were burnt and bacon was overcooked all for $ 15. Long story short I will NOT visit again and I ended up cooking brunch at home !

The other day I was feeling a tad hungry and I saw Grill 46. I figured I would go in and get a good burger and fries as take out. I got the ½ pound burger with chili, slaw, mayo, ketchup, lettuce, and bacon. I also got a side of fries. All for about $ 9. When I got home, I was sorely disappointed. It seemed as though they went next door to Food Lion and got all of the ingredients. The fries were completely unsalted. The burger was ok. If you want to spend $ 9 on a burger and fries then go to Cook Out or Five Guys. Don’t waste your time here. Also, the sanitation rating was 95.5.

Had the Philly Cheese Steak. It was REALLY tasty. It was a bigger cheese steak than I think I’ve ever gotten before, and had a great flavor to it. The tater tots were very tasty as well. I’ll likely be back here if I’m looking for a relaxing meal. Also the staff was very friendly.

I’ve been to this place three times in the last two days and have yet to be disappointed. I came yesterday for breakfast and it was so good that I decided to come back for lunch. It also was nothing short of delicious. This is coming from a former chef. I rarely eat out but Grill 46 may change that. The prices are very reasonable and the service is just as quality as the food. There’s none of that fancy stuff here just good ol’ fashioned home cooking… and beer. What’s not to love? Edit: Menu is at

Hot Chips(NOT the Strippers, I mean dancers) MADE-to– Order! I say«Light and Limp», they say«Easy» they Taste Perfekt!!! Hot Dogs(NOT the, never mind) with Chilli and if you are looking, Slaw! These were very good! The Servers are polite and helpful, the kitchen is fast and the place looks like a Diner, I guess!

Lived up the road for two years but never ventured behind the dark unappealing windows… What a mistake. Had breakfast here this morning and have found a new favorite!!! Great food!

Nothing like some regular, good ol fashioned, down home cookin’! No frills, just good food and its not ridiculously priced. PLUS, it opened my eyes(and tastebuds) to eating mozzarella sticks with ranch dressing. Never thought those two things went together, but i’ll be damned if it don’t taste good.

Great place. Family owned restaurant. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Service was awesome. This place makes it seem like you’re not in Durham-Chapel Hill area. The food was good and not expensive. They have a little bar where you can have a drink and watch sports. If you’re looking for a chill place to go to and live in the Durham area, should check this place out!
