Good custard, good service, cheap price! Simple review for a place that’s simply great. Great place to go on a hot day or after a nice dinner for a sweet treat! They usually have select few flavors, but every time I go they feature at least chocolate and vanilla, then one more random flavor, yesterday it was coconut, but that’s always great to me cuz I’m not picky!

This was a terrific treat! We both got small sizes, he got vanilla and I got the concrete special which was vanilla mixed with oreo and heath bar, the size was plenty. Since moving to NC we had yet to find soft serve ice cream and while this wasn’t quite soft serve, it was definitly a delicious substitution. My husband used to work at an ice cream parlor when he was a kid and while eating his he kept saying«mmm, now this is frozen custand!» We would definitly return and definitly reccoment!

Real custard. Real good. Classic banana split was awesome. Mid-afternoon in summer was a little too hot to eat outside since the custards melts so fast! We will come again later in the evening!

We needed a place that was open late at night that served froyo/ice cream and this was the only option. Situated right next door to Zaxby’s, Goodberry was a pleasant surprise. I wanted the chocolate custard but they were sold out, so I settled for the vanilla(with oreo) instead. They also sell ice cream in pints. Portions were just right and the custard was creamy. Unilocal showed that this location closes at 10pm but as we were enjoying our desserts, we noticed they started rejecting customers around 9:45pm. I personally would be super bummed out if I made the trip just to find them closed early. Will return again to try other flavors.

I had my custard in Raleigh and now i am doing a nonsugar added vanilla milkshake. What should I say? It never disappoints me at all. So good so tasty and not much worriesome of sugar calories. LOVELOVELOVE

Desert last night was amazing! Strawanna and brownie sundae never disappoints… Service is quick, staff are always pleasant, and cup gets filled with ice cream! I love the fact that it’s open year round! Only thing that could better is the price…

After such raving reviews, I was surprised by my experience at Goodberry’s. I’ve had frozen custard before but Goodberry’s is extremely creamy and therefore melted almost immediately when I went one night in August. I didn’t get to enjoy much as I was hurriedly eating to prevent the custard from becoming a soup completely! I did like my flavor(classic vanilla topped with strawberries) and would love to come back again to give it another try.

Yum! I’ve never had Frozen custard before and I gotta say I like it! It falls somewhere in between Frozen yogurt and ice cream if you’re not sure what it is exactly. I tried the vanilla custard and got brownie bits mixed in. Soo creamy and so good! The small is a pretty large portion so unless you’re sharing with someone else, I’d say stick with a small. They had a lot of other dessert options too like sundaes and milkshakes. I’m sure I’ll be back to try these out too. They only do chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day. Check their website’s calendar for flavor of the day updates.

It’s just the best, you won’t regret this. So creamy, so fresh, and well priced for homemade ice cream. I know good ice cream, and this is it.

Not a large variety of flavors. What they have is pretty good though. Great place to bring kids!

This place is the ! Their custard is amazing! I have tried their specials and just simple thing also, everything was pretty good. I was recommended this place from a coworker, after seeing how much she talks about it I decided to give it a try! The banana split didn’t catch my attention and is only one size. I tried the Strawana and immediately fell in love!!! I decided to take my niece with me for the third time and she got the flavor of the day,(can’t remember what it was) but I tried the the lite frozen custard(vanilla custard sweetend with Splenda) with peanut butter fudge. AMAZING. Love this place

There is nothing that would prevent me from giving Goodberrys a huge five star recommendation. I came here with my boyfriend and we shared a peanut butter with brownie and hazelnuts– soooo good. And I love the little tip upside down they do to show you how thick it is! We sat outside and enjoyed– there was plenty for the both of us. Such a fun place to spend a summer evening!

Love this place– always perfect for a special treat. Roll into the shopping center, nestled between chick fil a and zaxbys,(you can’t access it by roxboro st no matter what your gps says)! Flavor of the day was peanut butter which pairs perfectly with chocolate in of course a waffle cone. The cement grinder is a delish mix of your favs with toppings. I like how they rotate flavors and have outdoor seats– great for the summer, but not so great for those sporadic rain showers, oh Durham…

I think Goodberry’s is ok. It’s too expensive for what it is. I got the flavor of the day– piña colada … And it did not taste like pineapple at all. It was mainly vanilla ice cream with bits of pineapple and coconut. Marshmallow was a yummy touch to it though! The concretes are so cold they hurt my teeth. It’s worth a stop, but I’d go to coldstone over goodberry’s.

I have to say, it’s pretty good custard(I don’t have anything to compare it with because it was the first time I had custard thought). It’s very dense and creamy; I had vanilla, which paired very well with caramel. A solid introduction to custard indeed. Props for the ambience. Even though it’s literally in a parking lot, it has an outdoor patio area with umbrellas and trees for sitting out and eating your custard. Perfect for warm April days but I can’t imagine at all going here during winter(how do frozen dessert places stay afloat here. Would it even make sense to own an ice cream parlor in places that have real winter?) The issue with this location is it’s out of the way for me and the flavors are very limited. If I’m in the area and in the mood for ice cream(err, custard, my bad) I will stop by. But if I just want a fix I’ll go to LoYo as it’s closer.

This custard is OFF. THE. CHAIN. That is to say, it is delicious. Exactly how my wife and I like our custard/ice cream/whatever: very rich and creamy. Unfortunate that they only have one flavor of the day in addition to vanilla and chocolate, but I just can’t complain in light of how good it is. I’ve had it plain in the cup, mixed up like a flurry, and also in a sundae(brownie sundae!!!). I pray that this review reaches someone at Goodberry’s headquarters to let them know we need Goodberry’s in South Durham!

I knew I liked Goodberry’s, but after visiting a competitor last night, I know I’m definitely a fan. The custard is awesome. The concretes divine. And though I thought it a bit pricey, I now know it’s a much better bargain than some other custard providers. I like the sugar-free vanilla with strawberries, and I’d love it if they got a sugar-free chocolate! Yum!

I’m the anti-hype so when I heard about this place and THEN saw that it had gotten 5 stars by 7 reviewers, the eyebrow definitely raised and I had to go check this out. Notice that I gave it 5 stars. This place was great, just absolutely great. The fact that they change the feature flavor daily makes it pretty special and a place worth coming back to. Today it was burgundy cherry, which was done really well. Very smooth, lots of cherry flavor. Tomorrow’ll be coconut and I’m strongly considering going to have a sundae with almonds and hot fudge, thereby creating Almond Joy ice cream. What I had today however, will change the way I eat soft serve and expect from soft serve forever. I had the Sandstorm, which is whatever flavor custard you want with hot fudge AND…[drum roll]…MALTPOWDER!!! I’ve never had malt powder with ice cream before but think of crushing up 100 whoppers and having it on ice cream. It was delicious. I was just going for Cherry Garcia with the fudge and cherry custard, but with malt powder, that just kicked it up to a whole different product. Every bit was coated with a dry layer of malt powder, which made it a whole different treat on your tongue. No place has ever offered this to me and I was astounded by how awesome this was. I may start carrying my own malt powder when I go for soft serve at other places.
