This location on Ninth Street had the nicest employees ever! They have an upstairs area which is great for studying or if you’re looking for a more private atmosphere, plus free wifi and all you can drink coffee. Bruegger’s has delicious bagels, a huge variety of cream cheese and some bomb sandwiches. I love their seasonal coffee flavors [Pumpkin Spice and Coconut are delicious]. Not to mention the awesome hours(opening up at 5:30am and actually being awake!!) Plus, if you’re a starving student, you’re in luck, because Bruegger’s has coupons everywhere, including a $ 1 every $ 4 you spend on your receipt, they have a VIP e-mail club that sends out monthly coupons and they have discounts in the Go, Play, Save books. But I’ve just got to say one more time, the employees here are great, it really makes the experience so much better when you have a great customer-service experience.

I have to give a shout out to the amazing staff at this Brueggers location! They are always so welcoming and seem genuinely happy to be at work! Ro, the shift supervisor made my breakfast sandwhich. She was observant and noticed my work name tag, which made the interaction more personal when she called me by name. Ro put a personal touch by writing j love with a heart on the paper that my sandwhich was wrapped in(see the pic!) Thank you for not only feeding me, but for making me smile!

It really pays to be a regular here: the staff, who are really friendly, especially so early in the morning, get to know you and what you tend to order. There was one morning I was pleasantly surprised when, as I waited in a long line, the other customers in line tapped me on the shoulder and pointed me to one of the staff(I don’t remember her name, sorry) who was holding out a basket containing a bagel egg sandwich that I intended to order! It’s like they can read my mind! I know this is a chain restaurant, and their menu is set by the chain, but I do like the seasonal offerings, and this staff prepares them well.(I’ve been to other Bruegger’s in this area, and I can’t honestly say the same for them.) This is my go-to place for a good sandwich in between Sunday services.

Decent place to work, although could be cleaner. As someone who has quite a high standard for anything marketing itself as a «New York» bagel, I can say that these fall quite short of such a caliber. The bagels come in a variety of flavors, but on the occasions that I’ve had them, they’ve been either slightly stale or overly chewy. Get the bagels toasted to hide any imperfections(if you are a picky eater).

For a busy Saturday morning our server went a little further by drawing some cute stuff on my daughters sandwich wrapper. Food was good. The Back Bay Beagle was a good meal. Others on the menu are imaginative.

Amazing staff always says hi and is friendly to everyone. They really try to learn their customers’ preferences, to minimize your wait time, really great service. They make the bagels fresh every day(you can buy a bag of day old bagels for a reduced price, if you want), and they are very good. Love it.

Came here for Bruegger’s anniversary to receive 3FREE bagels. That’s right — not one, not two, but THREE bagels for FREE! What other bagel shop does that??! None that I know of! There’s really no catch! All you have to do is sign up, and you’ll get an email to show to the cashier. Just walk in, pick your 3 bagels, show your email to the cashier, and voila! Free breakfast. Now THAT is how you advertise! Unfortunately, they ran out of Blueberry bagels and didn’t have Chocolate Chip bagels(which I thought is part of the inventory at every bagel shop…), so I chose 2 Cinnamon Sugar bagels and a Sundried Tomato bagel. Spread is extra, each tub is at least $ 3, not worth it unless you share a tub. Cinnamon Sugar is very sugary but good, reminds me of a doughnut. Sundried Tomato is absolutely disgusting, don’t get it.

This is a great place just to pick up a quick bagel for breakfast. Nothing special and there’s tons all over the triangle but the staff here is always pretty consistent and I’ve noticed that even though I’ve only been in there a handful of times this one woman always remembers me and comments on my haircuts and what not. That’s really nice. I give it 5 stars just for that sweet woman!

This is the WORST Breugger’s… I have only had great experiences at the MLK Breugger’s and the East Franklin location, but the staff at the 9th street location is consistently rude, apathetic, and hostile towards the customers. I try to avoid going to this one at all, but occasionally I’ll try it again and it’s always a strange experience. Unlike the other Breugger’s, the quality of the food is not at all consistent here and the staff seems unhappy and resentful.

I tried the Leonardo de Veggie Bagel and tea, the tea was good and my bagel was fine but not memorable. The location and staff were nice and the upstairs seating loft looks cozy.

If you are from bagel country, this place will never do. My husband and I came here at the recommendation of a NC native for their«amazing» bagels. I don’t blame our friend or Bruegger’s even. I don’t think people here actually know what a good bagel looks, tastes, or smells like. These are not bagels. They are doughy, squishy, flavorless, textureless discs that happen to have a hole in them. We actually could not finish them they were so abominable. I’m not a picky eater, but I really couldn’t stomach these. You’ll have better luck with the bagels at Costco, or making your own.

I’ll freely admit that I am biased when it comes to bagels having lived the majority of my life in Jersey and also spending a good amount of time in New York. As others have said, the bagels at Bruegger’s are definitely a far cry from those found in NJ/NY but they are certainly more than merely edible! Being a chain deli/bakery, Bruegger’s naturally gives off that«chain vibe» which I guess can be positive in some ways rather than all negative. They do offer a wide variety of bagel«flavors» with tons of different types of cream cheeses. The bagels are not great but decent, and definitely get the job done when you’re having a carb craving. They also offer a pretty wide variety of breakfast sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, and muffins for the AM, as well as a decent number of paninis, sandwiches, soups, and salads for later in the day. Again, I have not found anything to be out of this world phenomenal but everything is at least decent. Likewise, the coffee quality/taste is somewhere between the crap that I brew at home and the java you get served at your favorite café. Perks of this spot are the friendly service, the open feel to the space given the high ceilings, the free WiFi, and the upstairs area(not a bad spot to unwind and enjoy your middle of the road coffee). Another plus is the fact that there is a private lot, though some of those spots are at weird angles and thus may put you in the danger zone with respect to other vehicles/pedestrians/cyclists/homeless people when pulling in or backing out(keep your head on a swivel!). All in all, Bruegger’s is a decent option in the markedly thin market for quality bagel shops in the Triangle but probably nothing to write home about(if home is in the Northeast).

Nice location, very accessible easy parking and lots of seating. The counter staff is friendly and they run the process conveyor belt style like a Subway Sandwich type spot. The bagels are vast and varying. Bruegger’s is designed for people on the go. Thing is the bagels as they seem to be prepared correctly they really lack flavor. It’s almost weird. The toppings are what they say they are. However, the bagel itself overall is bland. Mass produced is going to taste like this and It is what it is. However, The coffee is actually hot and bold– Kudos for that.

I’m here right now! I don’t know about that newfangled«check-in» stuff, though. I’ve been to this Bruegger’s once or twice before and I like it. It is a neat building with lots of space, plus I can take my laptop and just hang out and kill some time. The food and coffee aren’t mind-blowing or anything, but they get the job done. I think the staff is particularly cool here. I didn’t even know I had cheese options before at other Bruegger’s for my bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel. Yeesh! By the way, they have red, white and blue bagels today for July 4th. That’s cute. Big windows, tall ceilings, and a second floor to hang out on. I dig.

Bruegger’s is pretty tasty! They have very friendly service here and they make your bagel to order. I had a nova lox bagel on an everything bagel and it was pretty good! I think all bagel places tend to put a ton of cream cheese on their bagels but better to have more than not enough. I like the convenient parking lot out back and the upstairs seating area as well. Quick and easy and just the right price too.

MMMMM! I love Bruegger’s. It may not have the best bagels ever but the food is good and consistent. I would recommend the tomato soup and the breakfast bagel. They do tend to skimp a bit on the meat and cheese on the lunch sandwiches though which is a bit of a bummer. I do really love the food and the wide variety of options here. It is a great location on 9th street and is always fast.

I really like bagels. Mostly, I think it’s genetic, but there is nothing than a bagel & shmear with lox, onion and tomato. However, I can’t always afford that luxury(gotta watch the waistline!) so I get my favorite alternative from Brueggers. This is a chain, I shouldn’t have to explain to the«Northerners» that these bagels AREN’T real NY bagels. These are the South’s version. They’re round, there’s a hole and their loaded with whatever you want. But, it definitely ain’t New York, baby. I do really like the fact that they’ll make my bagel however I want. I also like the fact that they’re quick, so when I’m running late and need to pick up a quick breakfast option, I know I can count on them. In fact, 9 times out of 10 if I need to grab breakfast on the way to work, I’m going to stop at Brueggers. I’d like to branch out, but I also really like dependable too. All that said, they get three stars because the coffee’s always brewed too strong and the cost of a bagel & cream cheese is getting way out of hand. Plus, there’s something too sweet about a plain bagel nowadays. I wonder if they’ve changed their recipe.

If you’ve read my review on Bodo’s, you will be able to judge for yourself how biased my review will be… Brueggers is okay. They bagels aren’t warm or soft or crunchy. I went in the morning when I thought there would be a fresh batch, but it seems like they make a huge batch early rather than continuous make them. They have a large selection of flavors, but my favorite kind, everything bagel, was not quite as bursting with toppings as I had hoped. There is also a vast array of cream cheese spreads to go with the bagels. For me, Bruegger’s does not do a bagel justice.
