In all the years that I’ve made repeated visits through RDU, I’d never been to a Biscuitville. I’d seen the signs on the highway, and always been curious, but I’d never actually gone to one. Frankly, none of locals I go to visit never suggest it, and when I’m hitting the road en route back to Atlanta, I typically don’t want to stop so quickly after embarking, typically taking me well out of range of where the Biscuitvilles are. The years of curiosity were finally rectified on my last trip up to the Triangle. It was early, nobody wanted to cook breakfast, and the name finally came up as a suggestion. I said«I’ve never had Biscuitville,» but I really meant«We’re going to Biscuitville,» and it was a good thing that my friend was in the affirmative on it. This particular Biscuitville, my friend had described to be somewhat in a less-than desirable neighborhood, but it was the morning and what was there to fear in broad daylight? Doesn’t matter. There was plenty of parking, and it wasn’t busy in spite of being pretty much prime breakfast hours on a weekend. Honestly, I’m not sure where I got the idea, but I always imagined Biscuitvilles to be like a fancier, sit-down place, and not necessarily a fast food restaurant. Not that there’s anything wrong with it, it basically looks like a slightly more sophisticated Bojangles, with a slightly different color scheme, but as far as the breakfast menu is concerned, one that’s pretty similar. But if there’s one thing Biscuitville had that I think separates their breakfast from all other fast food breakfasts, would be their ultimate biscuits. Ultimate sausage, ultimate bacon, ultimate ham and ultimate turkey sausage, the ultimates are basically standard biscuit sandwiches that you could get at most fast food joints; but with double the meat. Seriously, I can’t think of another fast food chain that has double meat biscuits as an option. I don’t count getting two biscuits and consolidating the proteins like a Mc10:35 or something, Biscuitville offers breakfast biscuits with double meat, which is basically saying that they have the perfect breakfast biscuits for sale on a regular basis. So I ordered an Ultimate Sausage, and I only had to order one. And I’m glad I ordered one, because it turned out to be surprisingly filling, especially after the home taters and drink that comes with the combo. Not a single bite felt doughy or starchy, from an unfavorable ratio of biscuit to meat. The egg and cheese were kind of afterthoughts, but I’m still glad to know that they were there, and overall, I was very pleased with the food. Ultimately, it’s still greasy fast food, but it was fast food that I’d never had before. Hence, nothing higher than the definitive«A-OK» description of the three-star rating. As far as I’m concerned, I’m pretty pleased with Biscuitville, and the thought of their Ultimate breakfast biscuits, they sound like the perfect food to eat after a night of drinking, or even any other night where there’s no booze involved. Double meat breakfast biscuits pretty much sound like a good idea at any hour of the day.

Always open early. i walked into this durham location about 6:30am on a saturday morning. not a large crowd, but i saw cars arriving expecting a rush. so as i walked in i was overcome with the delisious smell of Bacon and fresh made biscuts!!! OMG. As i waited my turn in line i browsed the menu and decided that i would order a chicken biscut and a sausage egg and cheese biscut. there were many tasty looking items on the menu but that is what i normally eat when dinning at a fast food restaurant in the morning. within 2 minutes my oder was ready to go! the cashier was super friendly and everyone had a smile on there faces. from what i observered the store was very tidy and was being kept up with very well. the biscuts were awesome. the chicken biscut is by far non comparible with Mcdonalds or other similar fast food chains(in size and quality) and the sausage egg and cheese were great as well. this was my first experiance with biscuitville and it certainly will not be my last
