Aldo Shoes

As part of my post-​holiday shopping to capture a few of the many deals, I stopped at ALDO. They did indeed have a sale with items discounted 30 — 70% off. A very friendly sales person immediately greeted me, but since I was just browsing I declined his help. After a few minutes I found a pair of brown leather shoes that I had been looking for — now marked 30% off. It only took a few seconds to re-​capture the attention of the sales guy who went to see if they had my size. A short time later he returned with the bad news, they had nothing even close left at the store. I was a bit disappointed, but he explained he could either check the other stores or have them shipped in my size directly to my home. I did not want to trek to another mall, and I was reluctant to have them shipped because I figured I would have to pay the shipping costs and would not get the sales price. I explained my hesitation and he informed me that he could offer free shipping and assured me I would still get the discount! In addition, if they did not fit or I decided against them I could return them to any Aldo store with no additional fees. This pretty much took care of all my concerns, so I went with the order and a few days later they arrived as promised and I am actually wearing them as I write this. Overall it was a very positive shopping experience and I love my new shoes.

I like their selction of shoes for men. Their prices are very reasonable. The service was really good. I tried on a number of different shoes and the salesman was very helpful.
One of the shoes I wanted, they only had one of in my size and it was scuffed up. So they offered to take some money off or order me a pair to the store. I agreed to wait for it and would come pick it up the next week.
I got an email the next day, saying it was there and I could come pick it up… I was thrilled!
When I got there, it turned out to be the same pair :(
I cancelled that shoe and ended up ordering it online.

This is my favourite place to get shoes in the Triangle. Aldo is located in the Southpoint mall, just outside Nordstrom. They carry fairly fashionable mens and ladies shoes.
The important issue I’ve noticed is that when they have sales, the prices aren’t really that big of a drop, and only the shoes that you don’t want are reduced in prices. However, this is still my go to place for dress and casual shoes in the Triangle.
