Charming little place! Romantic yet casual atmosphere. Super friendly waitstaff! Great for date night! The menu has a huge variety of options. The food quality is comparable to Olive Garden, not über impressive but still good. The atmosphere and service is what makes the experience.

We had dinner here and greatly enjoyed it. We were seated and served promptly… Arrived shortly after 5 on a Saturday evening and watched the restaurant fill up as we ate. I had the Jinja Ninja as a cocktail, primarily because it was fun to say. It was potent and delicious. We ordered the chicken Parmesan and the eggplant Parmesan and doubled down on the fresh breadbasket with handmade spicy butter. Seriously, the butter was bright orange. It was delicious. A hint of spice, combined with crusty warm Italian bread… Heaven. It was easily the best part of the evening. The food was good… Not great. The eggplant was sliced thick, so it was a little on the chewy side and the marinara was just OK. But definitely two or three steps above chain italian, unlike other reviews I read. Overall, a lovely evening. We left full and happy, and still had money in our wallet. We will be back.

A really long wait for some really terrible food. Worse than Olive Garden… That should sum it up.

Fabulous food. We sat in the bar and Chris took wonderful care of us. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Food is so good everything we have ordered is to die for!!!

I’ve been here many times and have always been happy with the experience. Our last visit must have been an off night for them. My wife and I ordered Jumbo Stuffed Shells, Eggplant Parmesean, and Grilled Shrimp Oreganata, all the meals tasted fine but were from just warm to down right cold in the center. My wife returned the shell for a re heat, I could not send mine back due to a medical condition and I have to eat on a very tight schedule.

We ate at Mutu’s bar because we wanted to watch Sunday Night Football. It was an excellent choice. The bartender was very accommodating since my husband and I wanted to share a salad and entrée. When our food was delivered it had already been divided so we did not have to eat from the same plate. The eggplant parmesan was delicious. We will definitely return.

Great location for some yummy Italian food. I came here for dinner with my family and we had a nice experience. We had a reservation but since it was a weeknight we really didn’t need it. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and a pleasure to look at. Our servers were on top of things and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the calamari, the stuffed mushrooms, and the shrimp to start. Bread was brought for the table before our apps and the quality was quite good! All the appetizers were great. My favorite was the shrimp because they came in a light buttery, garlic sauce and the addition of lemon made them perfect. The crostinis were a great pairing for the crunch factor. Calamari was my second favorite: the squid was cooked perfectly and the side sauces complemented the dish well. The stuffed mushrooms were my least favorite, but that’s just because I’m not partial to things stuffed with cheese. However the flavor was good and the mushrooms were a decent size. I ordered the veal porcini for dinner which is a HUGE serving. I had to take most of it home because I couldn’t make a dent after all the appetizers. The meat was delicious and coated in a great sauce, but I didn’t enjoy the angel hair pasta. For some reason it was really chewy so I didn’t eat much of it. I would definitely come back to try some of Mutus’ other dishes. I’m partial to spaghetti and meatballs so that may be my next order! :D

We had a lovely dinner on the outside patio, very attentive service and our food was excellent. I had a simple pasta dish, capellini with pomodoro sauce that was light, fresh, and flavorful. My husband had baked lasagna and loved it. The special gelato, salted caramel with chocolate chunks was sooooo good!

I love Italian food and when we moved to Durango I was excited to check Mutu’s out. The restaurant had a great ambience and was a wonderful date night setting, but the food was awful. I ordered Chicken Marsala. It came to me with a runny sauce and the side vegetables looked like they were from the freezer section at the grocery store. My wife also had a poor experience with her food. If you want to come here for drinks it might be nice, but I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

I eat out every day since I travel 5 days a week. For the appetizer I ordered the chicken skewers. They are supposed to be the most popular item. They were fair. Nothing to write home about. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. Didn’t care for it. I am spoiled because the two best Italian restaurants that I eat at are located next to my MNL and my home in Colorado Spring. I loved being outside on the patio. A benefit was going on across the street so I was able to hear some great music.

My party of 14 went to this restaurant 3 days ago and we really liked it! Our waiter was very good, friendly, attentive but not hovering, engaging and funny. The food was good. I ordered the Lemon Shrimp Scampi and was gratified to have al dente vegetables. We enjoyed our experience!

The good — nice ambiance. The service — untrained and didn’t really care — not her fault she was pleasant enough — just not a good waitress — managements fault. Hire young kids to save money sometimes you get what you pay for. The food — watery lasagna not enough cheese, marinara too chunky and watery, marsala sauce bland — Marie Callenders would have been as good. A local recommended Guidos — we should have listened.

We were seated almost immediately on the patio which was spacious and clean, and even though it’s near the street, it is off the main drag so it was not noisy or touristy. Our server, Jamie, was professional and attentive. Didn’t hover, but was at our side when we were ready to order, or needed anything, and much to my delight, knew the wine menu. The food was Fabulous. We split the«special»: pork medallions over risotto with veggies(for a small upcharge), it was the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time, and I’m very critical being a restaurant owner. We even took home a canoli, and again it did not disappoint. I don’t know if someone’s Italian grandmother was in the kitchen making them to order, but at 10:00 pm. it was crispy on the outside, and delicious on the inside with a hint of cinnamon in the marscapone. All in all, a 5 star experience.

Seated our party of 8 very quickly on the 4th fo july weekend. Had an amazing lemongrass martini that I had turned into a tall cocktail that was the best of our entire trip! Appetizers came out quickly and were delicious, entrees as well. Desert-fabulous! Lauren, our server was a gem amongst servers. enjoyed the heck out of her-she even followed us out to thank us for being the best customers of the season.

Do not eat here. Bad food. Bad service. Food took forever. Brought out piping hot food off the kids menu to a 2 yr old and it took 30 mins for baby’s food to come that was ordered shortly after we sat down. Waiter and manager were extremely rude and unprofessional.

Full house, seated quickly. Great friendly staff. Fantastic food! The atmosphere is fairly soft and very open. As a result, the volume is a tad high, but nothing to complain about. I think I have found a new favorite restaurant.

Late on my review… but we ate here the last weekend in September. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! First, the atmosphere can’t be beat. Quaint and romantic! Secondly, the service was great. Very attentive wait staff. Third, the food can’t be beat! I had the shrimp & lobster ravioli, and it was terrific. We enjoyed a bottle of wine(great wine selection!); didn’t feel rushed at all. Just a great place to go and relax and enjoy a delicious dinner. I would highly recommend this place!

I took my wife to Mutu’s for dinner for her birthday. Sorry to say but we were very disappointed. The service was very poor and the food was just so so. The server forgot our salads and appetizer and we had to wait for more than 15 minutes for refills on our wine which we had to flag her down and ask for. For a higher end restaurant we will not waste our time at Mutu’s again. There are lots of other fabulous restaurants in Durango to dine at.
