Tonight we ate at Brew, at a quiet early-for-dinner time, after driving six hours on our family vaca with our two and five year olds. The food? Amazing: Picnic Plate for one kid, Dino Bites for the other, and fried pickles and the Mediterranean Platter for hubby and me. But what really was tremendous is how the staff took care of us when our over-tired, over-heated son blew chunks everywhere. I know, it happens, right? The staff was so kind, understanding, and helpful. It really meant a lot to a stressed momma trying to help her family have a great time, and on Father’s Day no less. Thank you.

It was 9:15pm, so called ahead to make sure the kitchen was still open(I hate being ‘that person’ who orders late, and as an English person take great pride in being ridiculously polite and understanding). Assured they were, we walked across the street from General Palmer and asked a waitress if we could order some food to go. «Sure, I just have to serve these drinks first». At 9.30pm she was just cleaning the bar and shuffling straws, so we gave up. Two other waitresses/bartenders wouldn’t even look at us. Place was clean and menu looked good, but not worth being ignored for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It was also quiz night, which seemed quiet but fun. Got more eye contact from the quiz master than any of the staff. Extra star for him.

Ate here during our recent trip to Durango for the Iron Horse Bike weekend. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday and got seated right away. We received our food at 6:45! I don’t normally rate restaurants for their poor service, but this time I had to. Over an hour wait for a salad and fried chicken?! I am sure that our waitress forgot to put our order in because a table of three received their food before us, ordering after us. She made up some lame excuse for the slow service. If she had only been honest with us, she could have saved her tip! Anyway, the food and beer was excellent, which is why I didn’t go lower than 3 stars. The manager assured us that this was unusual for them and did comp our drinks. Overall, i would go back when in Durango for the next Iron Horse.

Location is wonderful, food is ok but don’t order anything from the kids menu. My son wanted chicken nuggets, they were dinosaur shaped which tells me FROZEN food and not real chicken. My kiddo took one bite and said«these are gross». Service sucked until shift change. Next time if we come again, we will come after 5 when the real service is there. Overall location is great service and food needs work. Love you Brew please improve because we want to come back and recommend you :)

This is a nice brewpub in downtown Durango. They keep it simple. They have their own brews, plus some visiting brews on tap. For instance, they offered a beer fro SKA. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed learning about Durango from their local point of view.

The pulled mozzarella, fried pickles, mild wings, nachos, chicken green chili philly, burgers, and cubano are amazing. I have yet to find something here I don’t like. Their in house brewed beers are also quite delicious. They change frequently.

We ordered the quesadilla with guacamole, the Cobb salad, fried chicken with vegetables du jour(roasted asparagus), mashed potatoes, and the fried Marlon sandwich with coleslaw and waffle sweet potato fries. All of it was decent, as were the beers which they said they change up cause all the time so they only brew a beer once. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Wow that was good. Great beer selection. Unique food selection. I tried the corned beef with kale and hollandaise sauce. It was so good it inspired me to quit my job and follow my dreams as a food critic. Ok well I probably won’t quit my job but it was really good. I definitely want to return and try some of the other menu items to see if I will be further impressed. I am staying at the Hilton and it is an easy walk to BREW. Highly recommend. Go enjoy.

We happened on Brew(Thanks Unilocal!) for a HH meal with the kiddos as we stayed in Durango for a couple of days in Summer 2015. Brew turned out to be a nice choice to catch the U.S. Women’s World Cup Final in a space that is light and open with a very large front(garage) door rolled open to let in the light and beautiful mountain vistas. For HH, they have a nice menu of local and craft brews to choose from. The HH menu was a nice selection of winners for us, and we chose the grilled Shishito peppers and a Mediterranean plate with meats and cheeses. Rachel chose the beet salad — which had both dark red beets as well as orange beets. Although it could have used a few more greens, it was satisfying. The kids Picnic Plate was a perfect choice for my 11y/o daughter as it contained celery sticks, carrot sticks, several blocks of cheddar cheese, slices of avocado and a sliced hard boiled egg. It was a perfect choice for her. The Quesadillas are monster — especially if you add chicken or pork and include a side of guacamole. This is a humongous amount of food that could easily be split between two people. With upbeat and friendly staff, we had a great experience and look forward to another stop at Brew next time we are in Durango!

I like it when I can update a review with positivity. Last night for our anniversary we decided to go to Brew, since we hadn’t been there in some time. It was a solid idea! The service was absolutely accommodating. Nick was pleasant and encouraging. He brought us our beers and appetizers quickly and always made sure our glasses of beer and water were full. He informed us of happy hour specials so we could take advantage of them. We had their fried pickles and BREWtine(poutine) and both were ample portions. We were too full for entrees. With encouragement from Nick, we stayed for their trivia night, and for a team of two we did pretty darn good! While occupying Nick’s section for a little over two hours he was never rude and tried to get us to pay our bill too soon. Nick did a great job. The beers were rather good. I had their 99er 99IBUs amber IPA and it was really good. The wifey had their guest tap Wake Up Dead nitro stout from Left Hand. We enjoyed our drinks very much. Thanks BREW, you have shown us how far you have come since your inception and you are doing a great job.

They have a wonderful selection of beers on tap. I enjoyed the beef medallions and the shishito peppers. Both were very tasty. I will definitely be back next time I am in Durango.

Upon entering, I was a little grumpy as the two bartenders ignored us for the first 15 minutes. However, later on they warmed up to us a bit. The wings were delicious and I am a big fan of a brewery having a full bar as well as I’m not ALWAYS in the mood for beer. I’d give this place another try.

Nice surprise. Great beer, food was also very good, especially the Quesadilla, which was high quality and huge. Our server was a great guy, who was really into brewing beer(I forgot his name) but really made us feel welcome, which isn’t always easy when you are traveling with kids who are tired.

We had a good experience at Brew. Tasty food and a good pint of beer was a great way to do up some dinner. The staff was friendly and the food was well presented and delicious. The seat by the window was great as we got to watch world go by as we dined.

The beers were great but don’t get attached because they change them out all the time and you probably won’t get the same one twice. But I never met a craft beer I didn’t like so I’m not too concerned about that. I ordered a chicken philly. It came out very fast and it was amazing. I can’t stop thinking about it. The service was great. The bartender was very engaging which is great when you try a new brewery for the first time.

Nice bar seating, and they have some good tables. Plenty of space — the restaurant is not cramped. No loud music. Both hoppy ales I tried were decent, not great. ‘Samuel’, the American pale ale, is a little weak with not enough hoppiness to overcome a lack of body. ‘Trevor’, the IPA, is a bit better. On beer alone, this would be a 3-star review. Ravioli special quite good. Black beans are not something I would associate with pasta but it works. Pickled jalapeños — not so much. Side salad is an assortment of nice greens, tomatoes, red onion and cucumber. Other than the plate being a touch too small — very good. Tasty blue cheese dressing. Shishito grilled mild chile peppers are great and well suited even for people who don’t prefer chiles. These are truly mild. Because I ordered too much food, I shared these with my neighbor at the table. Service was fine, friendly. Bartender was perhaps a bit overworked having to serve the tables as well as the bar.

Excellent choice of craft beers. Food… Not so good. For sure not the best Cubano I’ve had. Turkey seemed gray. Ham was too dry. Dijon was just overwhelming. Amazing service though.

So it’s eleven o’clock on a Saturday morning and your kid is down because the train station musuem is closed all day, she was so looking forward to that. What do you do? Get her an ice cream? Silly rabbit, of course not. You and the wife have weathered a lot of whining and the day has just begun. Go on, you’ve earned it. Grab a pint or two. Brew is a short jaunt from the train station and generally worth your time. I wouldn’t say we were particularly impressed with either the eats or drinks, but it delivered the basics in a smart, modern atmosphere and you’ve gotta give ‘em credit for attempting to craft a beer that pairs mead with prickly pear cactus. Serial. So weird. My wife’s chicken sandwich really needed something, it was pretty blah, consider adding black olives or salsa or… something. But hey, them sweet tater tots? Amazeballs. I honestly thought the amber was the most complex pour, here, and I didn’t really understand the point of a brown porter. But whatever. Beer: it’s what’s for breakfast.

I came here with a bunch of my coworkers. We had a few tables reserved for our large group. The place was small and busy when we came around 6:45pm on a Friday. Parking would be an issue so it was a good thing we carpooled. The menu was simple and had a lot of choices that sounded good. We ordered almost all of the appetizers on the menu which were Fried Pickles($ 8), Shishito Peppers($ 8), Pork Belly Poppers($ 9), Mediterranean Platter($ 12), and Quesadilla($ 9 with chicken). It took a long time for the food to come out to us. The Fried Pickles were not bad and it wasn’t oily. The Shishito Peppers were okay but wasn’t spicy in my opinion. They said there were some that were spicy and some were not. We would need to try each one to find out, but I tried the different sized peppers and nothing was spicy. The Pork Belly Poppers had flavor in it and wasn’t spicy like the menu said. The Mediterranean Platter was okay but wasn’t anything special to me. Finally, the Quesadilla was tasty and probably one of the better appetizers out of everything we ordered. The beer I had(I believe it was the Jolene) was an amber lager with Desert Sun coffee. It tasted good and I could taste the coffee in the beer. I sampled the Miles which was a black IPA. It was a little light for my taste. Between the two beers, I would suggest the Jolene. Overall, BREW Pub & Kitchen was a-ok and not a bad place to come by for a drink and some food.

Speisen waren völlig in Ordnung. Nichts herausragendes, aber gute Qualität zu akzeptablen Preisen. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung — sofern man Bier mag. Die Biere waren mir dann auj dem fünften Stern wert.
