Out of business as of January 2012. I purchased a certificate from , but when I attempted to use it I found the restaurant dark & locked up around 8:30pm on a Saturday night.

Me and my buddy’s went to this place to kill time for the 20min wait to get into Café intermezzo. I did not care I was still drunk from all the free drinks at the delta skyclub. The place is some what trendy small. Its geared to the young nsa crowd. You will see allot of couples making out. The food is pretty good we shared some sashimi and California rolls. Service was good they were always checking on us every 10mins. I will go back.

Cool, hip atmosphere and fresh, delicious sushi. The restaurant is located in a busy, nestled away shopping center in Dunwoody. Parking is scarce, and if you go on a weekend night, the place is packed, and LOUD! My one constant complaint is and has always been the service. I’ve eaten here at least 10 times and each time I had to flag the waitresses to come to the table, sometimes more than once in the same visit. Once you get some attention, the always unapologetic and clueless waitresses are usually more comfortable talking(gossiping!) among themselves within view of guests. Sigh…

My husband and I love going here on our date night. We are sushi fanatics and this place is one of the best in Atlanta. It can work a little bit on it’s standards, but for the price location atmosphere they are doing the best with what they got! The rock’n roll is our favorite, order at least 2 when we go. Next is the Caterpillar-avocado, tuna, it’s good. Their martini’s are awesome and strong. Try the Blueberry off the menu. We have never had dessert but would love to try some if they have it? I don’t think we are ever offered dessert. The owners buys us martini’s sometimes if it’s slow to hang around longer, and he thanks us. The one thing they have to work on is their slow service. We waited 30 minutes to receive our bill, pay, and get our card back. Maybe they treated us poorly because we had a coupon? That’s how it goes sometimes and I do not like it. Great sushi bar, go check it out with your significant other! Update: We went back this weekend and I have to change my previous 5⁄5 to a 3⁄5. The customer service from the wait staff is awful. After being seated with menus and water our waitress didn’t return for +15 minutes. Thus our only option, we moved to the bar! The bartendar is standing there so she must take our order right? She was nice and knowledgeable, but the other waitress’ are either over-worked or do not know how to pleaseof satisfying thecustomers.

I really, really wanted to like this place. I always thought it looked pretty cool when I walked by… since it looked to sleek and kinda reminded me of a Dr.‘s office in a weird way. Anyway, the place was pretty small in my opinion… I thought it would be bigger. The waitress was very nice and it was pretty slow when we came in(it was about a little after 6pm). She seemed to be the only waitress along with one cook and one bartender. I ordered the special California roll … don’t remember the name, but it had shrimp, tuna, or crab on top of the rolls. This was very good and really filling. I also ordered the tuna avocado roll, which was a little simple and kind of disappointing since the rice was not very sticky so the roll kept falling apart when you tried to grab it with chopsticks and stick it in the soy sauce. I had a taste of the Philly roll, which was pretty good and rather large. I will say that the food was OK, not great. But they could really work on their service as they seemed a bit understaffed. It took 30 mins or so for us to get our sushi, which I think is a bit excessive for sushi. I actually saw our plates just sitting there, while the waitress did her various rounds. It was kind of frustrating since I was quite hungry. The service was pretty friendly and knowledgeable of their menu, but it was just wayyy understaffed… I also think our waitress was a little inexperienced since when we walked in, there were only 2 dudes at the bar, but when we left it really picked up. On a side note… this place and the surrounding barsand restaurants in this shopping center seemed to be a total meat market for guys. I had no clue what was going on, but there tons of women dressed up for something. I guess I didn’t get the memo, since I was totally under-dressed. Either way, I really wished I had a better experience. I may wait a few months and see if they can get their act together in the future.

I am surprised about the rating on Unilocal for this! I love this place! I am VERY very PICKY when it comes to sushi. I am used to having sushi from the west coast, where its fresh and delicious! I have been to a lot of sushi bars and restaurants, always trying to find different sushi spots. Of all the places I have gone, this is by far the best sushi place I have been to in Atlanta. I have come here about 15 times in the past year and I love it every time. Yes, service is slow, food takes 15 – 20 mins to come out, but its just so tasty! I love their sushi specials(platinum special, volcano etc) I do not recommend crazy daisy and I had tried the tuna tartar and I really didnt like it too much… This place is good for sushi! I haven’t tried much from the front of the menu, but the sushi is what I come here for! LOVEIT!

I used a coupon to eat here, but because of the reviews, wasn’t expecting very much from this place. On a Friday night, the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived at 7:45pm, but it filled up toward 9:30pm, when we left. Our waitress was really fun, but she was being overworked; I only saw two servers for the 25+ tables. Ask for Alex; she’s great. I think the problem is that this place wants to be a hip sushi bar, but likes it’s mediterranean roots too much to let go. I was actually reminded of Via in Buckhead, if that’s your thing. The wife and I were split on the food, which, overall, was just OK. The sesame salad and hummus were actually great, but the fatayer(beef or spinach & onion mixture in puff pastry) was burnt and flavorless. The«Super Bowl» was overly rich with eel sauce & mayo; the spicy hamachi roll wasn’t the best sushi I’d ever eaten, but it was edible. Lastly, the sexual chocolate cake was fantastic, but gigantic. Go for the atmosphere if you like club music and euro-attitude and be prepared to wait for valet parking or be willing to walk. The 3⁄5 stars is me being generous.

I’m not sure why others have posted«not so good» reviews. This was my first time here … AND I LOVEDIT! Everything was great… from the ambience, with the blue lights, nice music, nice… and very nice looking staff! I say at the bar and chatted with Rick, the owner; and the very lovely Erica(excellent bartender). For starters, Erica recommended the Love Potion, since I wanted something with ginger. It was so good, I couldn’t stop at one! Then I had a delicious, fresh Ginger Salad(there’s that ginger again). And, finally, the Platinum Blue Roll … OH M GEE! It was so good, I had to order one to go. From the menu it says, «our signature roll with crabmix, shrimp, avocado, and cucumber topped with salmon and baked with our sesame aioli sauce and topped with eel sauce». Seriously to die for!!! Can’t wait to have the«take home» one tomorrow! LOL!

So I came here once just because it was across from Intermezzo. From outside you can a few tables and chairs, when you go in you see the same thing. This place is super small & cramped! If you seat at the booth you pretty much have to share a table. It seemed like the owner/some girl/cook were getting a little too affectionate in the bar which was pretty awkward to watch while you eat sushi. One of the waiter’s actually told me that there was an affair between the three which was also awkward. As unprofessional as this is, the food doesn’t make up for it.

One awesome spot for drinks with your folks! The blue martini and pineapple-tai are phenomenol! Guys may not wanna be caught holding these colorful drinks, but they are sure are purty.
Platinum curry chix bowl is decent but their sushi is 5 star Atmosphere is sexy, blue lit, and chic. Techno music was annoying, but it was not that loud. Great place to people watch due to glass building.

no i would not recommend this place. ever. service was not so great. very slow. loud techno music BLASTING the whole room away. The bass rattled my chest. It actually made everyone at my table a little nauseous. Ultimately, the sushi was very poor quality. I do not think this place is run by experienced restauranteurs or foodies. It’s a place trying so hard to be cool, and someone told them sushi was cool, so they opened a sushi restaraunt. All a sushi restaraunt needs to be good is really fresh ingredients. It’s hard to mess anything up when the product is fresh. If the sushi is bad, or even smells a little fishy, it means that is not fresh, and possibly weeks old. There are many fantastic sushi places in Atlanta. This is not one of them.

Outstanding sushi! Seriously the best sashimi in Atlanta, hands down. Very cool vibe. You definitely don’t feel like you’re in Dunwoody when eating here. Very good and creative drinks. Nice roll selection. Very pleasant service. Reasonable prices. Seriously, this place has just about everything you want. I would MUCH rather come here then go to MF any day.

Service was mediocre, but after the day I’d had at work, I needed all the time I could get to just sit and relax between plates. I was pleased with my meal and enjoyed the spicy kick that everything that was supposed to be spicy had. So many places skimp on it so it was nice to take a bite of a spicy tuna roll and be met with some heat! The Super Bowl was certainly the hit of the night. A bed of rice covered in tuna and salmon, topped with a spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce that’s then baked? It’s a great little share dish and not that expensive either. We also enjoyed a spicy tuna roll, and I tried a spicy salmon roll and avocado roll as well. Everything tasted fine; my only issue is that many rolls contain shrimp in some form and well, I don’t eat the things. I don’t hold that against the restaurant, though. If you come on Wednesday, all non-specialty rolls are half off, making the prices better than that of Rusan’s. I felt the quality was better than that of Rusans, though, so it’s nice to know that if I’m in the area visiting friends and they want sushi, there’s a decent spot to hit up. Assuming it survives, that is… place was rather dead(even Intermezzo was dead that night, so perhaps I was missing some awesome event elsewhere that had the rest of the city occupied while I ate).

Great sushi, drinks, and house music all at one great location around Perimeter Mall location. The sushi is super fresh and taste great — with many great roll choices. The Bar has drink specials which always leave us smiling — also the lightening and house music gives off a great vibe and perfect place for a romantic date. Recommend to anyone and tell Rick that Rob sent ya —

A large group of us went to Platinum Blue for Sushi last weekend. First of all, if you are not into a swanky, lounge scene with club music playing while you eat, this place is NOT for you. However, we thought it was very cool and the service was excellent. All of us in the group love sushi and have eaten at most of the sushi restaurants in town. As stated in some of the other reviews, they do have a limited sushi menu with mostly rolls but they are very creative and tasty. Our favorite was their most popular roll, the Platinum Blue Roll. We had three of those at the table and they were devoured! Some of our other favs were the Shizzle Mizzle, PH D and the Crazy Daisy.

The place is pretty small and was not very busy on a Saturday night. The again it did rain. For starters, it’s always a good sign seeing Asian dudes behind the sushi bar and not Mexicans. The service was great. The complimentary shrimp chips kept coming. I do believe they put crack in those. The menu is not very extensive but they do have a good selection of specialty rolls that you won’t find anywhere else. I had the Platinum roll which was awesome. The bottled sake and drinks were reasonably priced in my opinion but then again I am used to South Beach prices. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate cake, which was HUGE. I kind of wish they had some of the typical desserts, like fried ice cream or cheese cake.

Sushi is pretty poor. Tasted like rubbery mush. However, the bartenders and servers were great. The sake was good too. If you live in Dunwoody and want to meet someone for a cocktail before you go out, this is your place. Don’t go here for the sushi. Parking is a nightmare.

I only went to this place because I had a 50% off coupon from Scout Mob. I was not impressed ATALL. #1 They dont have a fryer so no Tempura, Fried Rice, etc. #2 The waitress was cute but she was so concerned about her Iphone she barely checked on us. #3 The quality of the sushi was aight, I think Rusans is better. This place is cute it if you want to go to a small lounge, have a cocktail and snack on sashimi. I would pass on Platinum Blue

Okay, if you like rolls and cocktails and sexy vibe of an ultra lounge with some assortment of sushi & sashimi… along with Lebanese/middle eastern inspired appetizers… don’t go if you are serious about eating sushi/sashimi… BTW grade of sashimi served was very good. but I was expecting a real sushi joint… not another roll place… What can I say… real sushi @ perimeter? Too good to be true…
