I highly recommend this place for paint. This is a «mom and pop» type paint store where you get a bit more“TLC” than the big box home improvement stores. Furthermore, I prefer Ben Moore paints and stains over Behr or whatever the heck Lowe’s exclusive paint is (Olympic?). This place is just a hair more expensive than HD or Lowes. For example, I paid $ 40 for a gallon of their Arborcoat solid deck stain. I think a comparible stain at HD is $ 35-​$ 37 plus tax so what are we talking about here, $ 2 difference and for that you get a better product and better service. The guys that work here actually know what they’re talking about, especially the older gentleman with the beard (forget his name). If you’re thinking about using another Ben moore dealer like Riccardi up on 22 West or the place on Cedar Lane in Somerset, be warned. The former is VERY expensive ($ 50 for the same stain I paid $ 40 here) and the latter, based on my one experiece there (see my review) was nothing to write home about and also more expensive. The one negative about this place is they close at noon on Saturday and don’t open up again until Monday morning. That sucks if you’re a «weekend warrior» and run out of something during your project. you’re forced to go to Somerset of riccardi and pay thru the nose.

Just love this place. Never too busy, no project too small… always bend over backwards for me!

This is an old fashioned hardware store where the emphasis is on service, not browsing. Tell them what you need and they will fetch it from the back storage area. We stopped by in search of Superdeck Composite Deck Cleaner from Duckback Products, which you can’t find many places around here (we called first). They also had Superdeck Composite Deck Sealer in stock.
