Seminole Subs & Gyros

The lady got me hooked on this place. There chicken lemon soup is phenomenal. We went without the lady this time. Because of their wide range of options on their menu, they make it easy to come back. From wings to subs to gyros Seminole subs got it. The kids had the Italian sub and I had the Gyro with chicken lemon soup. It was quick and easy grub for a Friday night. The entire staff is very helpful and smiles are contagious.

Had a gyro last week as a carry-​out order. While there was a ton of meat inside the pita (too much actually); the meat was dry and overcooked. It was really subpar.
With «Gyro» in the name; one would think they would get it right. Sadly; they failed.

Great lunch! Headed to the beach we decided to stop for sandwiches. I have been to the other location and enjoyed it, so we stopped. We ordered 2 Cubans, which were great! Crispy and made just like it should be. Chicken gyro, had amazing chicken on it. And a lot of it! Side of onion rings and fried mushrooms completed our order. Everything came out fresh and quickly. The owner stopped by to confirm we were enjoying our meal. Very nice conversation. Already talking about when we will b stopping back in!

This is not my first time here, but this time I had the grilled chicken pita and the chicken was grilled to the max! lol just delicious and full of flavors. I also got some chicken wings and fries for my niece and nephew. I highly recommend this place if you like subs prepared with fresh bread and ingredients

The restaurant sits on the end cap of a strip mall, like an old pizza joint turned deli. The Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Had a Chicken/​bacon/​ranch wrap and a «The Works» steak sandwich, both were very good. Menu looked extensive and varied, will definitely go back.

Only positive comments here. Came in, was warmly greeted, and the order taker had a personality! Ordered a cheese steak and it was fantastic. Rivals anything that I’ve had on South Street in Philly. Look forward to going back the next time I’m in the area.

Just had another amazing meal at Seminole! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is cute and clean, even the restroom. But the food is the real star, everything we have tried is outstanding. The burger subs and cheesesteaks are to die for! They have skinny yummy fries and amazing dessert. Chocolate cake!
I can’t say enough about how great this place is, we are so happy to have this new location right around the corner. They have most certainly added to the «great restaurants» reputation of Dunedin!

Very clean and welcoming. We ordered the chicken gyro, pressed cuban, and fried mushrooms. Portions were large. Very tasty! Now we dont have to drive all the way to Largo. We left happy!

I came in here on a Monday night after 9:00 PM because it was the only place I could find that was still serving food. I ordered a Chicken Parmesan Sub and it was decidedly mediocre. The bread was fine. I like mine with a crunchy outside and soft center. This was more soft throughout. The chicken portion was decent and there was plenty of sauce and cheese. The sauce and/​or chicken just needed more flavor. It was fairly bland. My friend ordered an Eggplant Parmesan Sub and was very disappointed with the portion size. When she mentioned that to management, they immediately acknowledged her complaint. Apparently they had made a smaller portion of eggplant because they thought she was ordering a pita sandwich instead of a sub. To their credit, they insisted on making her a totally new eggplant sub at no cost to make it right. I’d definitely go back here and it’s great to have a later night option in Dunedin, but I would only go for food as fuel, not food as an experience.

Again, I don’t like writing a negative review… so with my most eloquent quill, I will say there seems to be some charm to this place — if you like a dive. My coworker has been to the other locations and had encouraging remarks so we decided to go to the new-​ish Dunedin location. On Mondays they have 2for1 Gyros (after 3 though– so my coworker was a bit disappointed with that). I’m not a fan of free food, I question quality at that point. However, for those who can economize from that offer do show up.
I ordered a chicken pita — got the combo… fries and drink for $ 4 more. Totaling $ 11+.
I will say the chicken was seasoned/​marinated well and had authentic taste — but that’s where the romance ends. The lettuce was wilted, the tzatziki sauce was almost like a flavorless mayonnaise. And although tasty — the chicken was a bit grissely — it seemed like bargain meat. So after spending $ 11 on this ‘meal’ I was questioning the value. The fries were ok — yet you get «Fancy Tomato Ketchup» — ugh… killin me!
…but as far as overall value for money, I’d prefer a healthier meal for that cost.
I am voicing these observations in hopes that the owner/​manager will consider my position and step up the quality and/​or adjust a lunch special that provides a cost effective response.
$ 11 for fries, chicken pita and a drink is not an exclusive deal… you can find that pretty much anywhere. If you want me back — you need fresh, lean and clean or an under $ 6 deal that makes me appreciate a frugal experience.

Well another business in Dunedin that’s completely lost my business. I tried to give this business a try, but, it has gotten consistently worse. On Thursday I went to purchase two sandwiches and two sides and was handed a bill for $ 54. I told the girl that this was incorrect but she had already charged my card. They then ran my card again for the correct charge of $ 26. I had to wait for days to receive a credit which did not appear on my account this morning, it only appeared after I went to the shop today to complain.
After voicing my opinion and telling them I would not return as a customer, I and was forced to leave, almost physically, which would have been ugly…

I’ve been to the Seminole location many times over the years and I was glad to see one here in Dunedin since I work in this area. I received my order quickly and everything was delicious just as it is at their Seminole location. I will be going to lunch their more often!

So delicious! Everything on the menu is tasty! Great quality and portions and super affordable! Way better then Delcos so if you’re looking for amazing sandwiches come here!

So I couldn’t help but to add onto my previous review. I ordered their ham and cheese pressed sandwich and let me tell you that it was the best pressed ham and cheese I have ever had. I’m not sure if it was the bread or the blended American and Swiss cheese but it sure was the best. I also ordered their grilled chicken salad and I love the way their grilled chicken tasted. The chicken was nicely marinated and did not taste dried out like some other places. Lastly, I love the fact that each time I order lunch from here, I always see the owner working. I love to support small businesses in which the owners are consistently present. There are not many places in my opinion that deserve 5 stars but this place absolutely does!

Customer service here was good. We ordered a gyro on pita bread. There was a lot of gyro meat on the pita. The only thing I didn’t like was the tzatziki sauce. It taste like cream cheese instead of yogurt and gives the gyro pita a weird flavor. I would probably come back if the recipe for the sauce changed or I would buy the sauce somewhere else.

Just opened and I’m glad they did! Loved the Chicken, bacon ranch wrap. Huge serving with great taste. Very nice people work there who are eager to do a good job. Milkshakes are good too.
