Ordered food for a large staff meeting to be delivered. The food was on time, packed with individual staff members name on each order and delicious! Will certainly use again! Thanks Marguerite!

Perfect place to sit outside, food was good, server was sweet even when the place filled up with 20 bike people. She put our order in first and the food came out hot!

Nice little breakfast or lunch place, we have been going there for years and it is consistent, staff very friendly and atmosphere is very nice, if you enjoy sitting outside it is very quaint with Oaktree’s above the patio a very nice sitting and they are dog friendly also. The food is average, not that that’s a bad thing, it’s consistently good but average nothing special or unusual just good. Parking is never a problem and it is Bike friendly also and not for from the bike trail or downtown. Prices are also average to good for breakfast and lunch items, they do not serve dinner.

Very nice place. The patio was cool and shaded. Nestled under a large oak tree. The portions were large and the price was very adorable. All and all a very nice little café to enjoy the morning and grab a bite.

First, this is a review of breakfast at the restaurant, not the catering portion of the business. As stated in other reviews, the coffee is weak. Nice presentation, cute see-through cups, but definitely weak. When we walked in there was a specials board that listed Benedict specials(my favorite). No prices, but it was a small café, didn’t think it would be anything crazy. Seated ourselves, there were at least four people working, and they did plenty of chatting with each other while everyone else ate. That was a little weird, like while they were clearing a table there would be two of them talking about business-related stuff. Not a huge deal. We started with two coffees, they were brought over, weak, as stated. There was sugar on the table, but no cream. We looked around and realized our cream basket was just empty, so we swapped it with another table’s and made sure to let the waiter know so they could refill the empty. Ordered the Hash Benedict(they do their own and I am a hash fan, so I wanted to try it) and my boyfriend ordered a Belgian waffle with a side of cheesy home fries(I think that’s what they called them…). So, my eggs Benedict didn’t have any Hollandaise… which I personally feel is part of what makes what you are eating a Benedict. so it was just an English Muffin, some hash(which was actually ok, nothing crazy good, but not bad) an egg and some cheese. It wasn’t bad, but I was definitely missing that hollandaise. It also came with a side of home fries, which I didn’t realize when ordering. Home fries were super bland, just slices of potato with onion. Boyfriend said the waffle was ok. Basically what we would make at home in a waffle maker, nothing fancy. Waiter eventually brought over the bill, it was around $ 23.00. The Hash Benedict I got off the special board, with no price, was $ 10.99. I would say it is definitely not worth that. Not in a million years. We were immediately ready to pay since we just had a card. Waited around for a bit, figured we were supposed to pay on the way out since no one was coming back. We went to pay up front, and the look the cashier gave our waiter informed us that he was probably supposed to come back to the table to get our payment. Anyway, not awful, but we won’t be back.

The food to price ratio at Marguerite’s Café is fabulous. In other words, for the price paid, diners are provided with a very tasty and quite bountiful fare. On this occasion I ordered the Egg and Sausage Quesadilla. Not knowing any better, I also ordered Home Fries. A word of warning… only do this if you are ginormously hungry or you just have-to-have home fries. I say this because when the Quesadillas arrived, four of them, my eyes and my stomach were not in full agreement, especially when the ‘tatoes were also set down in front of me. This was a lot of food. Well, I made it through and managed to consume all of it… but…it was a challenge. The food and service were outstanding and, as stated, the prices are great. Well worth a visit.

Would not recommend this place! I ordered the«Florida’s Fabulous Turkey» sandwich, it is supposed to come with sprouts, honey mustard with an option to add avocado, which I did. The sandwich I got was just turkey and swiss cheese on bread. No taste whatsoever, not sure how you mess this sandwich up, but they did.

Six of us had a very pleasant lunch on the patio. I had the Kielbasa Sandwich with sauerkraut and onions… really good! Everyone else also enjoyed their lunch. Jess was our server and she was great. In addition, we had a lot of fun joking back and forth. The patio was perfect with some tables under large trees and others in sunny areas. Two days later it was raining and the six of us ate breakfast indoors. The inside is small with a deli type take-out area and some tables in a separate area. It is clean and nicely decorated. Four of us had the French Toast, which was delicious. One other ordered the fresh fruit platter. It was huge with a good variety of very fresh seasonal fruits. Jess was again our server and she kept the coffee flowing! All in all we really enjoyed both of our meals and will return the next time we are in the area.

We really enjoy eating on the patio at Marguerite’s, which is within bicycyle riding distance of our home. The food is always tasty, healthy, and perfectly prepared, and we’ve found the wait staff to be very friendly and attentive. Eating at this restaurant is always a consistent, pleasant experience and it’s one of our favorites for a weekend breakfast or brunch.

I have had food from here several times. It’s a little pricy but not too bad. I have overheard a few people that work from company say that had cockroaches in their food. I decided that I would try it myself… Today I ordered a Greek salad … And there was a dead fly in it. I am not going to be eating here again. Too bad since they are next door to my employer.

I enjoy Marguerite’s Café. The food is always good and the service(except for a single exception below) is always attentive, prompt and professional. I have been there many times and have not had a bad meal(although I am mostly a breakfast person). There is little turnover in the staff, which is a good thing. My only objection and the only reason the place does not merit 5 stars is one particular server. There is one server that is just inattentive. It appears she finds everything to do BUT see if you need anything. I’m not expecting someone to stand next to the table, but if your job is a server, then that is your first job. Rolling napkins for setups, the cash register and especially reading the newspaper should be second.(Yes, I’m from the school that says a server does not sit in the open a read a newspaper or clip coupons with customers in the place). Note this is usually not an issue as I make sure I never sit in this one server’s section, but I misjudged this morning(suggestion-sit by the wall, not the window). I should know the name of the source of my frustration but suffice it to say, she is the shortest one of the bunch – best description I can muster). The other servers know what I want and are very attentive. I have never had to get up and ask for a refill but after sitting with an empty glass for awhile while the server chatted with the owner this morning, I went to one of the other waitresses at the counter and got a refill. Most people would think talking to your boss was important(and I agree), but there has to be a check of your stations to make sure nothing is needed. Maybe I am just spoiled by the rest of the staff being so very good at their jobs. I honestly wanted to tip the other waitress this morning. All in all, please do not let my review dissuade you. This is a good place with very good food. If you find the service a bit slow, it is one person’s fault and either ask for a different server or ask for your waitress to check on you from time to time. Granted one should not have to do that, but without some more training on how to be attentive, I’m not sure how they would fix that. Enjoy especially at this time of year where it is so nice to sit on the patio.

I work in Downtown Dunedin, and Marguerite’s is a frequent lunch spot. The menu is that of a typical sandwich café, but the specials rotate often and are always interesting. I love sandwiches, and I can always find something new and delicious on the specials list. Many of the sandwiches are served with chips by default, but I don’t think I’ve ever been charged for subbing fries. The inside seating area is small and can get overwhelmed during peak times, and the service can slow when there is a lot going on. That said, the service is always friendly, very accommodating and eager to please. If you are sitting outside, feel free to adjust the umbrellas to block the sun. The servers will do it for you, but they don’t seem to mind if you help yourself. Also, the plastic seating is double stacked on purpose.

I had heard nothing but good things about this little gem. I had also heard about the successful parties Marguerite’s catered! So a close friend and breakfast buddy found out I’d never been and decided I was overdue to visit here As we walked inside, I got to meet Marguerite and our server, Joan Marie. Both shared a warmth of hospitality that spoke you were in the right place! The first thing I noticed were the outrageous baked goods behind the glass. Now I know what Audrey Hepburn felt like having«Breakfast at Tiffany’s!»(Google it, young’uns!) I took a menu and browsed it quickly. There were MORE than enough items to satisfy a number of different tastes! I liked the indoor dining area but we opted to sit outside on the patio. The coffee was to my taste, rich and robust! Give me coffee that tastes like colored brown water and you’ve automatically lost two stars in the rating! Word! I ordered a Spinach & Feta Omelet with hash browns and pumpernickel toast. First thing I noticed was the fresh spinach! The second was the tasty smoothness of the Feta. Yes, there is a difference in this particular cheese.(I know after living in Greece for 6 years!) I loved that omelet. The only problem is next time I will have to stay away from it and order something different for Unilocal’s sake! :P It’s a great place to relax with a friend or just for a bit of peace. The food and service here are totally satisfying. I can’t wait to return!

While my husband loved Marguerite’s, I was overly disappointed in my meal. I felt the service was lacking(we were practically ignored outside) and we were overpaying for simple sandwiches(that did not have much flavor). I love that Marguerite’s is a dog friendly place so we may be back sooner than expected and hopefully we’ll have a better experience.

Marguerite’s has a good, but a small menu. I think I was expecting more when I first went, but I found the menu to be a little lacking. My food was delicious and the service was all right, but I guess I just had higher hopes for more options. The outdoor seating is lovely(and dog friendly!) It’s a little off the beaten path down by the library on Douglas, but I was surprised to see it was actually pretty crowded when we were there. It is definitely a place I want to return to.
