While this place has a great memory care unit don’t expect much from the independent living side. If your loved one has no motivation to get out of bed or go to meals they will not do well here. Residents are allowed to stay in bed and skip several meals a day. If your loved one is not a social person this place will not do anything to help your loved on thrive. There are way too many hours that they residents are left in their room and never checked on. Do not let the change to their house Dr! The house doctor changes meds without reason and can lead to serious health issues. The staff turnover is high their training seems to be lacking. There is usually no manager or front desk person after 5pm. There is no management after 1pm on weekends. There is no RN on staff the LPN is there limited hours during the week. On several occasions I have found random meds in my grandfather’s room. These were not his meds and they had no markings to say who they belonged to just what they were and instructions to take one pill twice a deal with meals. They claim to be an age in place facility but that really does not apply to most people. There is no cook on the weekends so they usually have sandwiches which is often better than the other food they are served during the week.

Upon my mother’s death in Feb. 2013, several valuables were missing from her locked room. Staff was not helpful in recovering her belongings, nor protecting her from theft. Beware of this assisted care living facility.
