My husband and I were beyond impressed with our new favorite sushi spot! He is a Chef and I’m just a picky foodie :) so it isn’t often that we’re blown away by what we’re served! And to have the added benefit of Thai food as well?! The Chicken Gyoza dumplings were cooked to perfection; crunchy on the outside, and accompanied by the perfect reduction sauce to finish them off. I tend to order my traditional boring rolls… But I branched out a little; and the Dynamite Roll really lives up to it’s name! It’s a must-try if you ask me… The Tampa Roll and JB Roll were both delightful as well, But the highlight of our night would have to be the Asian Fusion Fried Rice my husband ordered(which we’ve been fighting him for on the leftovers) and the Pad See You I ordered as my entrée… We were so happy and full; we had to program your phone number in our phones for when we want to take advantage of your delivery option! Blue Sake; we’re so glad you’re here!

Yes the location is in a strip mall but the food is great. We sat at the sushi bar and chatted with the new chef. I told him to surprise me with what he likes and the roll he came up with didn’t disappoint! He also was explaining to us that he had begun to take over the responsibility of ordering the wholesale fish for the restaurant and started using some of his connections for better quality products. He gave us some samples comparing the new product to the old and I could definitely tell the difference. Over all great experience and we will be back!

DELICIOUS!!! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS!!! Yes it’s in a weird strip mall, yes the décor inside is a little strange, but we’ve been here twice, and ordered the PADTHAI, Spicy BUNBUN, Tom Yum Soups, these delicious roti desserts and the list goes on. Everything that we’ve ordered has been yummy, and we can’t wait until our next visit!

Super friendly staff and good sushi. Ordered CA, Mexican, Veggie, and Buddha rolls. All rolls were large and fresh. The Buddha is super cool/unique — fried tofu and shitake mushroom that has been marinated in something sweet(mirin?). The CA was full of krab although I missed the roe on it. Tempura shrimp in Mexican was hot which made the avocado a little mushy and the shrimp was a little less firm than I like. Some rolls are 2 for $ 10 at lunch and one of our lunch orders came with a small spring roll and rice/pork soup. We also ordered ginger salads for $ 4 — large portion of leaf lettuce(not iceburg — thank you!) with almonds slices, carrots, and tomato. My BF is allergic to everything out of the water and they were attentive and took the allergy seriously which we truly appreciate. Also have Thai and other ‘fusion’ options(some Chinese, some Vietnamese) that I have not tried.

We had a great dinner! We tried sushi, shrimp clay pot, vegetable tempura, sashimi appetizer plate! Make sure and get the escolar! The best part about our evening was our server Emma! She made our entire dining experience so enjoyable.

We meet up friend here and try the sushi. Seem like all their waitresses are Siam. They are creative enough to attract customer for their sushi. They have out side sitting. It good for this time of year. We sit out side and we were able to see what people eating inside the dinning hall. Some of the table so close that only separate by grass window. This restaurant is Asian fusion with Thai and sushi. I have order the spicy tuna and Bahamas roll. The spicy tuna can be improved to make it dice cube to be more firm on the fish meat. The Bahamas roll is great. It is baked chop scallop with sherrard imitation crab meat over California roll. It is tasty for this roll. The sushi is added the eel sauce and make it more pleasant. The service average. There people smoking for little time than it was distinguished. We are glad that he did it.

Normally when I think of dining out I don’t think a driving up into a strip mall and going into someplace with a rather exotic name, but that’s just what happened one night last week. I opted to sit outside, which was basically some chairs and tables on the sidewalk pretty much in the parking lot, yeah I know this sounds like it’s going to be an interesting review! The server was a wonderful and attentive woman with a personality, and sense of humor, which I can always appreciate. The menu had a lot of good things to choose from and the portions were big enough that I ate all I could, and took quite a bit of it home! My suggestion to you is that you go at night so that your surroundings do not remind you that you’re sitting in a parking lot of the strip mall, and it’s a bit quieter, as the traffic slows down off the Main Street.

Blue Sake is a cute little Asian Fusion restaurant with so many options including Thai, Chinese, Japanese, & Vietnamese food. They also have some outside seating which is perfectly fitting since Dunedin is super dog friendly. We ordered four rolls including the Lobster Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, Tuna Bomb, and JB roll. The lobster roll and JB roll were my fave. We also ordered edamame to go with it. It came with a very tasty ginger salad. My hubby’s drunken noodles were okay, but there was barely any chicken, and I thought should have had a few more veggies. I do like it here and feel like they have options on their menu that I don’t see anywhere. No complaints about their service. It was pretty good, but I liked our first server, better than the second one.

I went to dinner here with a couple of friends just to check it out. I’m a huge sushi fan and they don’t like it, so we thought this would be a good place for all of us to get what we wanted. I ordered a ginger salad to start, which was really good. I then ordered two rolls, the JB Roll and the Mexican. While they were fine. They were not outstanding. I will admit that it took me a while to decided which rolls I wanted to order because I found that everything that was not just a simple salmon or tuna roll came with a strange combination of things. I’ve had many a Philly roll, but not of them actually contained beef? My dining companions ordered the Crunchy Cashew Chicken and the Drunken Noodles. The Crunchy Cashew Chicken was an enormous portion and looked fantastic, with plenty of cashews. I will try that next time. The servers were good and attentive.

There are very few times I give 5 starts… But this place deserves it! I’ve had sushi in many different cities… I can say, because I have had amazing sushi, I am picky. But with what it costs, who cares?! Right? This place had the best Sushi I’ve had so far! The Tuna and yellow tail sashimi literally melts in your mouth like butter. Mmmmm, soooooo Yummy! Every roll we have tried is consistent with the amount of fish given, which is rather generous, and no over kill on the rice. And that’s just the sushi! The service is superb! Everyone is so friendly, they talk with their guests and get to know them. The owner stayed open a little late for us one night, as we rushed there, so we could get our fix in! Who does that?! Love this place!

I went for lunch and thought the food and service were both fantastic. Loved the ambiance. I ordered the pork pad Thai and my mom ordered the chicken Thai fried rice off the lunch menu. The soup and spring roll were really good and you can’t beat the price, around $ 7.95 each meal! I’ll definitely be back to try their sushi menu.

Outstanding service and best sushi around town. I tried the lobster sushi the other day and It was out of this world. The Thai food was also pretty impressive, hands down it is worth the Drive to this place. Enjoy

Really good sushi. Nice staff. Reasonable prices. Open Sunday’s unlike other Japanese places around. It’s run by Thai people which normally makes me nervous when going specifically for Japanese but honestly they nailed it! I ordered the dragon roll and added cucumber; really really good!!!

Dined in for lunch with two colleagues. There were two other tables occupied. Service was slow to start however they were friendly. We waited around ten minutes to order and had to ask to have our order taken. The lunch special: sushi roll, soup and egg roll are a great value. The soup had a strong flavor of chicken, rice and had a variety of veggies. The spring roll was mediocre. I ordered the Blue Sake Phở with vegetable broth. The broth was bland but with added spices they have available, upon request, it yummy. Favorite part of the lunch was the spicy tuna rolls. They were wrapped tightly and the tuna tasted fresh. Overall the food was good, restaurant was clean and although the staff was slow they were very friendly.

This is the first sushi place i have visited since moving to Tampa Bay. Originally i wanted to review this place the same day but i was in food coma. I was inicially intrigued by the tofu generously offered in most dishes… but then i noticed, darn… too many choices ! The waitress was helpful(and patient!). We ordered the california roll, Tuna avocado roll, Tofu Roma Long song, and Chicken Garlic Black Pepper. Everything was so good ! We decided to try the Classic Sake for the first time… i gotta admit that i couldn’t taste the apple something something that the description says … but hey, i finally tasted sake… one less thing on my bucket list! Best part is that the prices are actually affordable(and i’m a sucker for xmas lights)! Would i ever return? Oh yeah !!

I feel like this is going to be a biased review. I have recently discovered my love of sushi and more recently Thai food. I got some sushi(of course) and some beef teriyaki. Like most Asian restaurants you get stuffed way to fast(I think its the rice), but it was really affordable, tasted great, and hits all the spots that needs to be hit when you are craving sushi/Thai. The only weird things is that they have these place mats that I remember seeing when I very young at a Shoney’s in Orlando when my family was going to Disney World.

With an ownership change at Thai Town, a new awesome sushi and Asian fusion restaurant has been born. Due to the great Unilocal reviews, we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised to discover folks we knew from and the prior owner of Thai Town. The same wonderful recipes that we are very familiar with followed them across the street. YAY! The overall atmosphere is airy and the wait staff is exceeding friendly. Emma was our waitress. We felt immediately relaxed. As always, we were starving. We first ordered soup. I ordered the Tom Kha with chicken(Thai hot) and my partner ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp(med.). OMG, both soups were exceptional and had a depth of flavor we could not remember eating elsewhere in the Tampa Bay area. At this point, we realized that we were in for an amazing meal. For appetizers, we opted for their steamed dumping special that was shrimp based and the chicken satay. The dumplings were large, hot and very tasty. We will order them again. The chicken satay was a little chewy and could have used more of a char on them but the dipping sauce made up for any missteps. As a courtesy, we were given small ginger salads for an intermezzo before our entrees. The dressing, on this simple salad, was bright and flavorful. For entrees, we ordered the Panang duck and the sweet and sour shrimp. The duck was extra meaty and the Panang had a depth of flavor that had hints of a variety of spices that were not in the canned paste bases that seem to be the norm, elsewhere. The sweet and sour sauce was another wonderful surprise. It was not the standard thin sauce but it had a substantial consistency with lots of pineapple pieces and other veggies. It would be wonderful just by itself over some rice. The sushi menu will be explored in depth on our next visit. We left with smiles on our faces. SCORE! We have a new favorite Thai restaurant!

Yep, this place is a two thumbs up winner. I absolutely love Thai food and was excited to see a place with such great reviews had opened up close to my house. My mom and I came here for lunch on a sunday afternoon and grabbed a spot at one of the booths along the wall. Right away we noticed the nice bright, airy feel and the décor was appealing as well. The server was friendly and did a good job considering he was the only server for every table in there. Our server brought by menus for us to take a look at and we noticed that they offered a lunch combo option, including soup, small thai roll and a wide variety of options all for $ 7.95 This was impressive to me because even most restaurants that DO offer a lunch special don’t have it on the weekend, so that was a definite plus. We started off with a Mexican roll just so we could try the sushi and see how we liked it. Theirs was spot on – perfectly crunchy, great flavor, very fresh. We scarfed that down in 2 minutes flat. Next came our meals. My mom got the veggie delight with chicken and i chose the rama sama long(or is it rama song long, or rama lama song? I can NEVER remember) which is chicken in peanut sauce with rice, cabbage, carrots and broccoli. WOW! It was so tasty, reminded me of the«amazing» chicken from other local Thai places. Between the soup, sushi and a few bites of my meal, I was stuffed, so had enough to bring home for leftovers. The server kindly boxed them up for me and brought it back to my table, that wins big points in my book too. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, between the ambience, service and fantastic Thai food. All of this was included for very reasonable prices. I will most definitely be a repeat customer here.
