I did not taste so I’m writing this based solely off my husbands enjoyment. He enjoyed the tasting the guy working was very friendly and knowledgable. Hubby bought two bottles!

My wife and I stopped by one afternoon driving along Seneca Lake. They recently moved into this space, so they are still growing into it, but they have a nice selection of New York State produced craft beverages. You can taste, sample, and purchase, all while getting an incredible view of Seneca Lake. The young lady running the tasting room was very knowledgeable, super friendly, and fun to talk to. O’Begley’s has two Irish Style Whiskeys available, and they are both excellent. If you are cruising down Route 14, don’t drive by without stopping. Pick up a bottle of New York’s finest spiritual offerings!

This place is pretty new and is originally from Rochester, this is where the distilling happens, but opened a tasting room here on the lake. It is right next to Starkey’s Look Out and I think a lot of people head there but have a spontaneous stop here before going. The view from outside is amazing, it’s breathtaking how you can see the lake. Inside is a bit bare. When you walk in, the left side is a little bare with a couple of barrels and signs and I think empty freezers. On the right is the tasting area and items you can purchase to take home. The tastings are 3 for $ 4 if you try their flight: they choose the first 2 and the last one you can pick or 3 for $ 5⁄6 of any other liquors there. They provide pretzels to snack on while you taste, win! My +1, Adrian, really really enjoyed himself here. He was shocked at how smooth all of their stuff was and wanted the $ 90 bottle but resisted and bought one of their smaller bottles. Sometimes they have mini«sales» where you buy a bottle and get a tasting glass for free, we didn’t get any but our friends the following week got some. The service is wonderful here. So nice. The first time we went we met one of the guys who actually does the distilling in Rochester. He was so knowledgeable and really passionate about what he does and answered all of Adrian’s questions. The second time we went there was a woman there who was super sweet! She was really friendly and was very good at explaining the whiskeys. One thing I suggest [really Adrian, not me] they get is the dropper for water! Pouring it from the big glass can be difficult and may cause some over spilling, which totally can alter your whiskey! We’ll be back for sure. They do accept credit cards so no fear!
