Popped in on Friday for an afternoon lunch for 3 with no reservation. We had a 5 year old accompanying us but were still greeted promptly and professionally and were quickly seated at a good table. For the table we ordered a glass of Austrian Riesling, sparkling waters, salads, a pizza, and the hand cut pappardelle pasta. While everything we ordered was quite good, the pasta really stole the show, and I’m not the type to normally order pasta. The noodles were so fresh and had just the right thickness to them. It was a really outstanding plate of pasta that will make me rethink my future orders at this place. The atmosphere here is professional and straight forward. It’s not their first day running a wine country restaurant. There is a good mix of locals and tourists that dine here. The wine list is loaded with Ponzi, although they do have plenty of other options. I have eaten here several times and I have always left this restaurant feeling better about the world than I did when I walked in the door. Somethings are going right here.

Nothing special. Sixteen dollars for a burger and fries! Ridiculous. The beef was grass-fed, but still. The burger was not good because it was slathered in a very strong flavored mustard on the bottom of the bun and also some type of garlicky mayo on the top. Even though I tried to scrape most of the sauce off, it still ruined the taste. The fries were good, though.

Fabulous wine list and great service. Order the cheese platter and kale salad. A great stop for lunch before wine tasting or dinner or apps after wine tasting.

Just had a nice lunch here with my husband on our 25th anniversary weekend during a wine tasting day. The décor is very nice and clean with colorful artwork and a cozy fireplace. The service is friendly and our food was very nicely presented and tastes very good. We had the cod and fries and house salad. I highly recommend this place.

Dinner was good, fish & chips were good, a little to much batter, one of the evening specials Rib Eye steaks was served cold :(condiments weren’t offered at the time of meal, never asked for refills on drinks or would we like another drink. Our bill was over $ 300, for the lack of service 20% gratuity was an over kill, step it up and maybe next time it will be deserved

Extremely good service, food, and wine selection. We thoroughly enjoyed being here after our day of wine tasting with the family. Servers were very attentive and helpful. My 3 star review is solely due to the hostess, who really needs some training in customer service. I hate to dock a full star to the entire restaurant, but I hope they will see this and ATLEAST speak to her. We had a group of 9, which I understand can be an issue if the restaurant is very busy so we weren’t going to push it if that were the case. However we walk in and there are like a million tables open, 2 of which are right together and we can already see could be pushed together to accommodate our group. So we ask the hostess if we can do this, and she says no because it’s in two different servers sections and she would get in trouble if she did this. We ask if we could talk to her manager and see if it’s okay with them, and she says there is no manager, and we just can’t be seated like this and would need to sit separately. She starts to argue with us and is very adamant that it is just not possible, so we are standing there for a second debating whether we should stay and sit at two tables in completely different areas of the restaurant(one is around the corner, you cant even see the other table from this area), or just go somewhere else. Then the servers come by and ask whats going on, and proceed to put the tables together, no problem. Anyway, the rest of our meal was splendid, the pizza, burgers, truffle fries, and kale salad were enjoyed by all. But unfortunately still had mixed reviews on the experience due to the initial interaction. I totally understand her possibly not having the authority to do the table move, and I would also understand if this were a busy night and she didn’t have the time to figure it out, but all she had to do was walk over to any of her superiors, and there would have been no issue at all.

I ordered the clams with pancetta, sherry, garlic, and tomatoes from the starter menu. It was excellent and I ate every bite. However, the dish would have been complemented by a bit of bread to soak up the lovely broth. I had to order it separately for an additional charge of $ 3. I also had a glass of Prosecco, which was good value at $ 10 since the glass was full. Staff were polite and attentive. Décor was casual and the fireplace I was seated next to was a nice touch. Outdoor seating is also available. Overall I would recommend this establishment but people, this is America, not Europe; don’t make me pay for bread that really should have been a part of my meal. That is all.

I stopped in for a light lunch after visiting the Argyle Winery across the street for some bubbly. I had the clams & mussels starter which was delightful, well portioned(8 – 10) & paired well with the Ponzi Pinot Noir(2012)! However, I had to ask for bread which in my experience every restaurant I’ve been to always serve it with the plate. Dipping the bread in the sauce is just part of the experience and usually the most enjoyable! To my surprise when I got the bill they charged $ 3 for a modest portion of bread — really! The butter was fresh out of the frig & hard to spread which always annoys me. The service was quite good. I’d still recommend you give them a try, but they should consider including the bread WITH the mussels & not charge for the bread.

I was thoroughly disappointed in Dundee Bistro, especially since it boasts a large number of great reviews. I thought both the service and atmosphere were fine but nothing special. The food, however, was a let down from start to finish. We opted for the bread plate and Brussels sprouts for starters. First, the bread plate is as basic as it gets, like it would be free anywhere else yet I paid $ 3 for it. The Brussel sprouts were edible but lacked flavor and were overall disappointing. For our meal we ordered the margarita pizza and ravioli. The pizza was also fine. Edible, but the crust was akin to cracker. Not great. Finally, the ravioli. One bite and I could not stomach another. It was one big filled pasta on a plate filled with some cheese mixture and egg yolk. Just gross! I’m up for trying different things but there was nothing good about it. There is nothing more disappointing than wasting a vacation meal on bad food! My husband and I left unsatisfied. This is truly the first time Unilocal has steered my wrong ever.

One suggestion now that I have been tasting raw garlic in my mouth for the past few hours from what could be the delicious lemon garlic aioli. ROASTTHEGARLIC. That will make that dipping sauce so tasty. Do it. Trust me. It’ll be delicious. Otherwise, the burger was good. Fries good. Could give me more fries in that serving.

Holy hell this place was so good. We had a few people suggest this place so after a day of wine tasting we decided to give it a try. Their wine selection is awesome and the server even let me try the wine first before pouring my whole glass just in case I didn’t like it. I got the chicken and he got the burger and we were both so happy with the choices. His burger may have been one of the best we have ever had. It was so simple and yet so delicious. You could actually taste the meat, it wasn’t smothered in sauce or toppings-just perfect and delicious. My chicken was served with mushrooms and brussel sprouts and was fantastic. I would have licked the sauce off the plate if it was acceptable. I don’t think either of us said any words during the meal, just happy grunts and rapid chewing noises. We finished with the crème brûlée which was a good sized portion and also incredible. I couldn’t suggest this place more!

Wonderful service, menu and food. Great time frame when you get seated to the drink order and then lunch. Great spot to stop and dine before continuing on with wine tasting in at the local estates. Service was spot on! She was speedy and very knowledgeable about menu and drink orders. Pizza, burgers and chicken were on point. As a starter we enjoyed the clams which were perfect.

I was running errands and needed some food! As the blood sugar was dropping! This place was super clean and elegant! They served tons of different types of wine, but I’m not a drinker. I had chicken pizza, and a cup of mushroom /oyster bisque. It was delicious. The waitress was fantastic! I highly recommend a visit here!

Service was very good, I will be back. The burrata app. Was done really well with grilled asparagus and prosciutto. Grilled romaine quinoa smoked salmon salad was a hit with my daughter. Old Roy cocktail was perfect, they get it right with the oversized ice cube. An overall amazing lunch.

Delicious food, excellent service, convenient location, but slightly inflated prices. PARKING: The small paved lot fills up fast, because it’s shared by 3 businesses, but there’s a large gravel lot directly across. SERVICE: Excellent, the host seated quickly(we sat outside) and the hostess brought our water right away. We arrived during peak dinner rush, so the manager(Chris) became our waiter. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had to wait an unusually long time for our dessert to be served, but the rest of the service was great. My mom and I were having dinner to celebrate my birthday, so we decided to splurge a little. For h’orse d’ouvres I had Trufffle Fries(so good!) and she had grilled beets w/chevre, hazelnuts and greens. For the main course we both had the seafood pasta(AMAZING!!!) and for dessert, I had strawberry shortcake(meh, ok but not impressed) and she had the crème brule w/oatmeal cookie. I would definitely come here again for the seafood pasta!

Out to Lunch. We stopped here for lunch after visiting 2 nearby wineries. I had one other place in mind, but chose Dundee Bistro after viewing the variety/selection of their menu online. Please see: for complete details regarding location, hours, and menu. SETTING: Indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit outdoors since the weather was initially sunny when we arrived. NOTE: I also decided to make a reservation since I wasn’t sure if it was going to be crowded and/or how long the wait may be. Parking available in the adjacent lot or nearby grassy area. FOOD: 1. Artisan meat & cheese plate; seasonal accompaniments: Madrona, tommede savoie, and iris cheeses served with coppa meat and quince. Bread is complimentary. A nice light starter for lunch. 2. Grass fed burger served with truffle fries served medium: Delicious! Good portion. Burger prepared well. No complaints. Loved the fries! I would order this again. 3. Pizza special of the day: embarrassingly enough I forgot the exact name of the pizza. However, I DO remember it was absolutely delicious! Essentially it was a sausage pizza with onions and bell peppers. SERVICE: Very good. The server was a friendly and knowledgeable young man. He gave us sufficient time to look over the menus, provided water refills and extra napkins, and checked on us periodically throughout our meal. Surprisingly the weather changed from bright and sunny to overcast during the course of our lunch. I applaud the staff for working well together to move customers still in the midst of lunch to tables in the restaurant. Thankfully, we were finished with our meal during this mass exodus, and our server was kind to expedite the payment of our check. We made it to the car just in time before a slight downpour began. BOTTOMLINE: Nice setting. Great food. Good service. A great place for lunch. Suggest making a reservation as well.
