I have used the Duncan UPS Store the past few years for my shipping needs. I found the Saturday hours convenient, especially with the post office being closed on weekends. I recently shipped an important document with them via UPS Ground to Atlanta. The recipient never got the document. UPS investigated the tracking number and after 10 business days declared my letter lost, non-recoverable. The document had no monetary value but was very important I had the shipping receipt and tracking number. I asked the Duncan UPS Store(which is a privately owned franchise of UPS) to refund my $ 8.77 shipping charge. They refused. I was told to take it up with UPS and I might get a partial refund. I spoke to UPS again and they said the Duncan UPS Store responsible to fully refund my money. The Duncan UPS Store refused again. After contacting the UPS Store corporate office and explaining the situation — they said the people at the Duncan store were misinformed, lacking common sense and integrity. The corporate office has issued my full refund. I will not use the Duncan store again, even as a last resort. The staff are young and inexperienced, devoid of good business sense when things go wrong.
