Don’t bother with online check in. Doesn’t work effectively. I’m not sure why great clips even uses a computer. It is supposed to store your info, like what was last style of haircut, birthdate, etc. Well they never read it nor do they update info. The majority of the staff doesn’t speak English so don’t bother telling them what kind of cut you want. They will nod their head and cut whatever way they want. And they’ll carry on conversations(in another language) with coworkers in front of their customers. I think that’s rude and is very simple customer service. Maybe too simple for them to understand. Avoid alba at all costs, asked for light trim but she kept cutting and cutting. I finally had to stand up to get her to stop. Really has no clue. When I expressed my displeasure with her spending more time talking to her coworker than following my direction, alba had no response. Guess it took too much effort to care. Then she overcharged my son, who is 9 and should have been charged for a child’s haircut. But then again that’s assuming they read to computer printout they get for each customer. When I told alba she overcharged me, she gave me a coupon for $ 2.00 off next haircut although overcharging me $ 3.00. Again she had no clue about customer service. Did she really think I would ever return? Nope. Never. Even if it were free for a year I wouldn’t return. Learn customer service. Listen to your customer. Treat your customer right. You’re not the only salon in town.

The wait time /check in app is useless. The app said 0 min wait, I walk in and she says 30 min. But I see 3 guys in front of me and like one stylist. It’s at least an hour as I see it. I ask if I can check in, she looks at me with a very pained look. I walked out.

Great Clips is good for just a quick cut. I paid $ 13 for my hair cut. The hair stylist looked very confused when I said a pixie cut. When she was using the razor, the hair coming off looks kind of grey and white. I don’t know how well they clean the razor cartridges or if they clean them at all. I am 24 years old and do not have white or grey hair. This concerns me a bit. She also just wet it, and cut it. She didn’t style or dry my hair. I walked outside in the cold with a wet head. Just left. When the woman couldn’t understand my phone number the 4th time I told her, I walked out. I feel bad for the boy in front of me, after his mother explained how he had a sensitive neck, and she would need to be careful with the clippers. If she couldn’t get my phone number right, there is NOWAY she understood that. Overall it is cheap and convenient, but they always have trouble understanding how I want my hair cut, then they always miss random hairs. Each time I have left there I have had to go home and cut a few hairs with scissors just to finish or even things out. Certainly not to be confused with a barber shop.
