Nice place delicious REAL Chinese food. Ppl are very friendly. Will definitely come again if I pass by Atlanta. There’s a 10% discount if you check in here:) I believe there’s some misunderstanding in the pass. I had dinner last night and I’m writing this review a day later. Didn’t end up with diarrhea Lol… They’ve been close up for a while and moved to this new address not long ago. I would say recent reviews are more likely to be what you will be experiencing.

Wok Rock rocks! We started coming here in the past few months… they must’ve resolved the issues they had before, because we’ve only had good experiences here. It has become my son’s favorite place and I can’t blame him! Sue is always lovely & kind to us. The atmosphere is uniquely quirky & fun – the decór is a mix of old world & industrial-modern, while traditional Chinese music is piped into the dining room. The portions are generous, which is surprising considering the quality & freshness of the ingredients & the authentic style in which they’re cooked. Try them on a weekday for a lunch special. If you like hot & sour soup – theirs is awesome! Matthew W. Yes, they are open. I’ve noticed the phone number doesn’t work either. I’ll suggest an edit on Google.

Update: the restaurant contacted to confirm that their phone system has been down. They are still open and the food is still yummy. I’ve been trying to call the restaurant for 1 – 2 weeks to order takeout. I located three phone numbers for Wok Rock and none of their phones are working… never a good

OMG. Will never order from here again! Hunan shrimp and could not eat it. Something was spoiled and it made me sick to smell it. The won ton soup was bland with no flavor, the egg roll was awful and even the fortune cookie was stale.

Infested with roaches among many other food storage issues. The news article stated it has many issues, and received a 55/U. It’s prior score was a 50/U. If they don’t care about food safety and the health of their customers, they should be put out of business. Let’s be sure that happens.

How in the world do you fail SIXHEALTHINSPECTIONS? The fact that anyone would still go here to eat is beyond me. I have never eaten there but felt that this information should be well known. Why Georgia lets this place stay in business is a question we probably will never have an answer to.

I ordered delivery last night and all the shrimp in my shrimp fried rice had mold on them. Gross, I will not being eating here again. None of these pictures I see here look anything like the $ 30 worth of food I was delivered last night.

Been waiting an hour and a half and counting for my food to be delivered. Unacceptable. And they don’t answer the phone. Update: now 2 hours and 30 minutes. Been compensated by eat24. Wok rock however can’t get their story straight. Told eat24 that they couldn’t get in my complex. Told me their driver was having car trouble. Unacceptable.

Everything from your standard fare like Mongolian Beef to more not so well known dishes like Beef Noodle Soup. Place is very solid and I’ve only had the take this far. The food would only be better dining in. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area. They deliver too, if you’re too lazy like I was one day to go out.

Everytime I get food from this place its gets worst ever time. The 1st time it was pretty good but the quality has really gone down. I got the house fried rice and it was mostly just chicken… maybe 4 pieces of shrimp. It was dry and oily at the same time if you can imagine that. Also got wings and every piece had hairs/feathers on them… it was disgusting. My friend order the sesame chicken and the sauce was burnt… I didn’t think that was possible. Anyhow I’m fairly disappointed and won’t be going back.

We were trying to find a good restaurant for delivery and stumbled on this. The food sounded great and the reviews were decent. We ordered our food and was given a time frame of 45 – 60 minutes. Well 60 minutes passed and nothing. I contacted which is what I purchased through and they contacted Wok Rock. They assured us that our food was on the way and it would be here within 10 minutes. Well 20 minutes later and no sign of our food we contacted them again. We got the same lovely girl from eat24 and she helped once again. She was told by Wok Rock that it would be another 20 minutes. So an hour and a half that we’ve been waiting at this point. I asked if we could get a refund for the amount of time we were waiting as we weren’t even given a reason as to what happened. She assured us that the owner would make sure that we’d have our food but they refused a refund. 10 minutes later while still talking to Michelle she came back and said the manager agreed to a 50% discount. Better than nothing I suppose. She told me to continue to wait the rest of the 10 minutes and contact back if we still didn’t have our food. Surprise, surprise. We didn’t have it. No call, nothing. Once again we contacted back and was given a nice man to speak with. He tried his hardest and called Wok Rock as well. The owner told him he would give us a 50% discount and rushed him off the phone. Well he didn’t tell him that he already agreed to that with Michelle. So that made it void. He did however give me a coupon for my next purchase on which I will use but definitely not on this place. It took a total of 2 hours and 10 minutes to get our food. Never going to attempt this place again.

What was this. Came on a Saturday night, with barely anyone in the restaurant. Service was HORRIBLE. The waitress kept taking the menu away even though we specifically asked for it to stay at the table so we could order. The portions were TINY, so tiny we had to order 2 or 3 of the same thing so all of us could try it(there were 5 of us). They literally rolled the beef into the largest circles they could so it looked like there was more meat than there was(it was actually just mostly air!) We also never got water refills and we had to get up to go the cashier multiple times just to ask for the menu(again) and get more water. Second of all, how hard can hot pot be?! You are literally not doing ANYTHING that takes skill, outside of chopping up vegetables. However, even then it was like… what the heck They gave us 4 slivers of potato, i counted. Talk about being stingy. The sauce was less than half of the smallest bowl imaginable, and they stuffed it with coriander such that the actual amount of sauce they gave was camouflaged. At $ 2.50 a «bowl», it was a MAJOR ripoff. The whole sauce amount they gave you for $ 2.50 was like 2 tablespoons. Also, no sachajiang, the major component of hot pot sauce. All they had was peanut sauce, and just 2 tablespoons of it. All in all, service was horrible, portion sizes were miniscule and overpriced, and we had to continuously order more and more food so that we felt some semblance of full. Conclusion? We spent around $ 100 for freakin hotpot(i.e. raw vegetables) and still left hungry. Also, the fact that this is located in Chinatown makes me wonder why its still in business given the surrounding hot pot places that are MUCHBETTER. Could’ve done much much better at home, actually. Never coming here again.

SPICYANDNUMBINGSICHUANESEFOOD? SIGNMEUP – YOUHAVE A FANFANFANFOLIFE! I just tried to go to the website to try and recall some of the dishes I had(in english) and their website only consists of their more americanized dishes. What a pity, bc they have so so so much more! With that said, I do want to give a big thumbs up to this restaurant for it’s great sichuanese flavors and offerings. I’d absolutely include this place in my rotation of chinese restaurants, if it only wasnt soooooo farrrrrrrrr! And like Tina T. said before me, Wok Rock/Chuan Wai Chuan used to be Bobo China off Lawrenceville Hwy. It was super delish then, and still pretty delish now(please bear with me while I try to make up english names to the chinese dishes I’ve tried): -«husband and wife lung slices”/aka beef tendon/brisket and tripe: a traditional sichuanese cold starter dish, the beef and tripe are sliced and mixed in a chili oil sauce. I was actually pretty sad that this dish is not a delicious as before – sauce is not as flavorful and too thin to coat the meat properly –cold noodles: a great vegetarian dish! cold noodles are in a slightly sweet sauce and julienned veggieds. It’s a big portion and I really enjoyed it! –cumin lamb: I was worried that the lamb would be too gamey, but it was quite tasty! the cumin and other spices flavored the lamb well and the meat was very tender. –toothpick beef: one of their main attractions! its soooo yummy(tho not as yummy as before). like the name states, they are chunks of beef ‘skewered’ together with toothpicks, season, and fried/stire fired wtih dry chilis. it’s a must get! –sour and spicy shredded potatoes/suan la tu dou si: no they’re not hashbrowns ;) haha, thinly julienned potatoes and jalepenos, this is usually a household staple. Since I am not my mother and cannot julienne anything, I rarely am able to eat this! while, of course, this will never be as good as my mothers, it was quite tasty here and vegetarian friendly! I wish they kept the potatoes a little more crisp. –hot and sour sweet potato noodles/suan la fen: a soupy dish consisting of a tart, vinegary, spicy chili oil based broth/sauce, the sweet potato noodles are super chewy and retain alllllll the delish flavors of the broth. please note that they serve this with intestines – but you can totally ask for it with out. While there are a couple of other dishes that I tried, I really can’t think of their english names. Please refer to the pix i posted! I will fo-sho be back Wok Rock – this time for your hot pot!(which, btw, you can only eat on the far side of the restaurant). YUMYUM!
