We always eat in the lounge side. It’s worth a stop to see what the lunch specials are. I love the prime rib sandwich (I wish it was just a bit bigger) and the killer beer cheese soup. Everything we’ve had has been pretty good and you can’t beat the view.

Every now and again we’ll stop in to the castle for a drink on the way up to Silver Bay. Every time I’ve been there it’s either been snowing or raining. Weird.
The building itself is charming. It’s literally a tiny castle right off of Lake Superior. The lounge area is sparsely decorated but has a great view. There always seems to be the same little old lady serving drinks. She’s a bit crotchety, but in the most charming way.
