Gold’s Gym of Duluth

This gym is your standard gym. No bells or whistles just weights and machines. The locker room is a little run down and many of the doors on the lockers are falling off. The showers are scary. There is only one room for classes although I have never seen a class in session. There are 2 water fountains in the whole gym and that is it. 2! It’s a gym! There are a few okay things about this gym though… there is a day care, there are lots of treadmills and ellipticals (both of which has tv’s attached to the machine. a big plus in my opinion) and plenty of free weights. The gym does not really compare or try to compare to LA Fitness or Lifetime fitness both of which are nearby. They make up for their lack of glitz and glam by their price (most of the reason I am still a member there. and it is exactly .7 mile from my house). I pay only $ 19 a month. La Fitness and Lifetime can’t even get close to that. Yes I wish Gold’s was nicer and more high tech but I am willing to sacrifice a few things for a short commute and a small price tag.

This gym is now out of business. All memberships can be transferred to American Bodyworks on Peachtree Industrial.
