Duluth International Airport

Do you ever hate the lines at the airport? What about those stupid TSA agents that probably can’t read and are complete jerks? Or going through those ridiculous full body scanners? Thank god none of that exists here. This small international airport has TSA agents that are actually nice, no non-​sense security screening, and you can get in and on your plane in no time. Did I mention that this airport is actually CLEAN?!

One terminal.
An entrance for departures.
An exit for arrivals.
Four gates.
Delta and United.
One snack bar slash restaurant slash bar.
Free wifi.
Table and chair seating.
Device plugs throughout.
Smaller planes.
Gate checked baggage.

My sons, ages 19 and 12, have been in Duluth visiting their grandmother this week. They went to Duluth International this morning (around 5 am) to catch a flight to Detroit/​Atlanta and while going through the TSA Checkpoint, the officer checking identification insulted my son by saying «someone must not like you with that name». I am appalled by the behavior of the TSA agent that was displayed. My son filed a complaint and was told that he would be notified when action had taken place. No apologies were given and no assurance or acknowledgment that the officer was out of line. It is a shame that anyone should be subjected to an insult of this magnitude. We put our faith in TSA to make sure that our flights are safe. We comply with the guidelines without question. We should not be harassed.

I had a 5 AM flight, so nothing was opened, and we even had to wait for TSA to open up.

Again, a small airport review. It’s quick to go through the security and everyone is super friendly. That a plus!!!
