I’ve lived and worked in this area for 5 years now and have used this location frequently but this will be the last. Unknown to me apparently Chevron has allowed independent owners to charge whatever they want as a hold on a credit card transaction. The norm is $ 1. In this case this station owner thought it fair that $ 100 was a fair price to put as a hold! $ 100 for $ 29 worth of premium gas. You’ve got to be kidding me! Here is some advice to the owner. stop that! You will only lose customers with this stupidity.

Worst experience of my life at a gas station. If I could assign negative 5 stars, I most definitely would. After the automatic shutoff failed to work and spilled gas on my car for a 2nd time, I went in to report the equipment issue and the fact that I had to pay for a car wash to remove the gas from the paint finish. Gas also spilled on my foot and flip-flop, but I didn’t mention it. Instead of being met with an apology the attendant proceeded to explain to me how to operate the gas equipment. I’ve been a licensed driver for over 20 years and I’m pretty sure I can pump gas. When I stated that I was going to report him, he then apologized and tried to convince me that he’s reported this issue to the owner on previous occasions. Didn’t he just tell me that I didn’t know how to use properly? As we continued the exchange, he said, «lady please, I have other customers.» Wait, didn’t I just spend $ 29.85 on gas. Am I not a paying customer? Customer service isn’t arguing and bullying customers.

Just your typical Chevron in the front of a damn near abandoned shopping center– which is a a shame because there were talks of the center becoming one of the next Atlantic Station type places before the recession hit. There is another Chevron down the road @ the intersection of Old Norcross and Pleasant Hill if you miss this one– mind you, neither locations are 24H. The people inside are friendly at least.
