Gouda Mac in cheese is so incredibly delicious with a touch of garlic. When I think of eating my favorite Mac and cheese at any restaurant 88s is it!!! Great sandwiches and burgers are good! Have had better. But I wouldn’t go anywhere else for Mac and cheese. Not a huge fan of their sweet potato fries they were a little overdone. But maybe it was a bad day, I ordered those on a snow day!

The venue is nice and the staff was professional. The service was slow however. Almost an hour to get our meals. The food was ok relative to price. I just can’t get too excited about the place. Your typical Chili’s or Unos provides more for the money, as well as better service.

This place is really good, especially for the Webster-Dudley area. Our waitress was nice and the food was not bad. There were some good items on the menu, items that no other restaurant in Webster/Dudley/Charlton/Oxford offers. The atmosphere is also nice.

Went there tonight to check out the new menu and we were pleasantly surprised. The last time we ate there about a year ago, it was less than impressive. We started with 2 of the flatbreads as an appetizer to split between 4. The roasted butternut squash with Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, and pesto was very good. The pork belly with apple and onion jam got mixed reviews.(I loved it). Our entrees, filet medallions with Gorgonzola, wild mushroom Demi glacé, fingerling potatoes in duck fat with acorn squash were very good. The steak was medium rare as requested. The only miss was the under seasoned squash. One of our party had the duck with risotto and loved it, while the other had lobster mac n cheese, which she said was very good. Service was prompt and courteous, and the prices were reasonable. Good drink and wine menu also. I I wish I’d gotten our waitress’s name, as she was great. All in all, a good experience. We’ll be back to try some more of the new offerings.

I go to nearby Nichols College and every time my family comes to bring me back to my dorm after a weekend home, we usually go here for lunch. We tend to split an order of nachos(which I highly recommend if you’re a fan of appetizers or nachos) and tend to make the same mistake of trying to eat a meal on top of that. Its not a mistake in the sense that their entrées are bad, but a mistake in the sense that the size of the nacho plate is HUGE. From what I have had at Eighty Ates, they make a great hamburger and an excellent mac and cheese. On top of that Eighty Ates has a friendly and helpful staff that makes every visit enjoyable. With that in mind if you are registered on the app Belly, they have a rewards program with rewards ranging from free items off the menu, to a free meal, to gift certificates.

Great food, great atmosphere, certainly not what you’d expect from a strip mall location in Dudley Mass. Really happy I decided to stop here, honestly the food was really good, the waitress was efficient and the prices were reasonable. If you’re in the area it’s worth a visit!

Revamped and awesome. New chef and new menu. We stopped coming because the food was sub par. Can’t wait to come back and try another dish. Always enjoyed the staff and drinks. Now the food matches the rest of the place.

I have been to Eighty Ates once or twice before and have had pleasant experiences in the past so when Groupon offered a deal I couldn’t refuse… great Mai Tai to start things off followed by French onion soup… Both were very tasty. The main course… Veal parm… Again tasty but lots of breading on the veal… service was great… The only tricky thing about this place is depending on where you sit… Bistro… Bar… Rest… Has a different menu so if you go online to look at the menu make sure you ask where to sit.

Took my hubby here for Father’s Day. We had our usuals — wings and s Cesar salad– which was amazing. We also treated ourselves to a Sierra Nevada draft and then apple pie– with ice cream of course. Very delicious. Service was great! We just love this place. Plus they use Belly — and you can rack up points every time you go=free stuff ! Mmm

This place is in Dudley, MA??? No Way! For those unfamiliar with Dudley … it’s a little town in the middle of nowhere in Massachusetts on the CT border. To say that dining expectations in the Dudley/Webster area are low would be an understatement. To me, Eighty Eights is very out of place in its strip mall location next to Park and Shop(Wholefoods prices with the selection of a CVS grocery isle), Family Dollar and Big Lots. Lunch is one of the best deals around … most anything on the menu that you order for lunch is $ 8.88 with nothing over $ 12. The food is fresh, the recipies are good and the preparation is on point. Dinner is a little pricier, but this is food you don’t mind paying a bit more than your average restaurant in this location for. Their boneless wings are great … I recommend paying $ 1 more for the balsamic buffalo, their signature. Portion is a bit skimpy on the boneless wings, but its probably better for your health that way. Real homemade blue cheese sauce! Chicken Parmesean is my go-to for lunch. Don’t expect something out of Little Italy in terms of authenticity … but it is a very tasty dish. I don’t think I have ever once been here with someone who was dissapointed by their food. The menu has a lot of specials as well. While many are kind of confusing(lots of add ons for $.88 or appetizers for $.88 when you buy another product) the waitresses are usually good at pointing them out. Sometimes, during happy hours or ladies’ nights … you order a craft beer or mixed drink and get an appetizer for $.88!(its a smaller portion but still … well worth it!) They really have a lot of food/price specials to entice diners. The chef here knows what they are doing! The flavors and seasonings are very robust. This is comfort food at its best and you can get everything from pasta dishes to burgers and bar food. Their website is garbage if you are using an Android phone making it hard to check out the menu, but trust me … you won’t be dissapointed in the number of options or the food. Not sure why there are so many bad/mediocre reviews … I am very picky and I like this place. It wouldn’t be my go-to place when I am in LA or New York … but to find a place to eat this good in Dudley is like going to an art museum in Cleveland and seeing the Statue of David. (They also do takeout but in my opinon, skip the take out. The food never tastes as good as it does when you eat in.)

Menu was different and creative the food was excellent. I love how the servers use ipad to show you some of the dishes. It was great to be able to see what we were ordering. I also really loved the innovative drink menu. I love fun and different drinks so this place really suited me.

Years ago I had a terrible experience and promised never to return. I refused to go back, disregarded everyone who swore by it, and now resent my bitterness. Food, service, and value were all great. My burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were outstanding. The only downside would be the location. I’m from Dudley so I personally like having great food so close in proximity but the plaza it resides in isn’t exactly appealing to the eye and the interior is very small. The dessert portions are huge and I can’t wait to try the 3 course special for $ 12.88

There aren’t many places to have dinner in the area at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the dining room or in the bar area. We told the waitress to put us wherever it was easier for her. She sat us in the empty dining area because it was quieter, which I though was very thoughtful of her. I had the clam chowder, and hubby had the French onion soup. Both were excellent. I had the roast beef sandwich on a pretzel roll, which sounded interesting. It was quite good. He had a huge burger with mushrooms, peppers, onions and cheese, and loved it. The fries that came with the burger were terrific, but I made the mistake of upgrading to onion rings. They were far from terrific. Service was fast, efficient, and friendly. We will be back, for sure.

Came here today and it took us 2 hours to order lunch off the small portion lunch menu. Once our food came it was decent tasting, but cold to the point of asking for it to be heated up. Each meal was missing something that was promised in the menu. We needed to remind our waitress of the breadsticks missing and when we did they took another 10 minutes with no apology. We also upgraded our meal to the VIP which included a dessert, which we also needed to remind them of. We ended up regretting ordering it because that took forever as well for a scoop of ice cream. I think that this place has potential if they can get it together!

I came here at 5:10pm in need of a quick dinner before going off to a late business meeting. I told the waitress that I was in a rush… and the service was instantly turtle slow! Getting my dinner was painfully slow, 25 – 30 minutes for one person is ridiculous. Staff made matters worse by dancing around with my credit card for 10 minutes and couldn’t figure how to get the charge right. Getting dessert took forever too… I was steamed, yet no one came over to apologize for the poor service. My chicken parm dinner was pretty good, The atmosphere in the bar area was nice too. These are the only redeeming qualities keeping me from giving 88’s a one star rating. I’m not sure I would return here again, but there are very few other decent restaurants in the area. Note: I had my credit card info stolen shorty after this visit. Suspicious with how my card was handled here.

Went here based on Unilocal reviews and was very disappointed. Ordered the Honolulu sliders which should have been great but they use processed, frozen burgers which you can tell immediately from their look, gray color and complete lack of flavor and juiciness. They could save money and elevate their burgers by using actual ground beef and cooking to order. The pineapple condiment was also flavorless and did not come through at all. Steak fries were well-seasoned and service was very good. If I return, I won’t be getting a burger. The menu is intriguing and creative. Now if they would just use quality ingredients.

In spite of all the favorable reviews, I was still shocked to find such a gem in little Dudley. Located in the Airport Rd Shopping Center, this strip mall could use a much needed face lift. On the inside however, it is much more appealing. We had stopped in for lunch so it wasn’t too busy at the bar, I could definitely see that crowed being a drawback on a busy weekend evening. We got off to a bit of a rough start as we had to wait a bit without being acknowledged, for a table. While it wasn’t that busy, The bar separates the kitchen and the dining room, there is also a partition between the kitchen and the bar, so it’s not hard to go unnoticed if there’s no one in the dining room. After that, the service improved considerably. Mrs B enjoyed a French Dip Sandwich, while I ha ad the Bourbon Chicken Tips. The food far exceeded our expectations. Cooked just right, both dishes were fantastically delicious. There was so much food(see the pictures), we each had enough leftovers for another meal.
