Amazing place. Beautiful view and great location. Spent just one night there but it was an amazing one night. The owners made me feel right at home. Susan makes these incredible cookies. There is a little sitting room in the front of the house that has a little telescope looking into town. BEAUTIFUL HOME! Very clean place…

Probably the nicest B&B we’ve ever stayed at, and very reasonably priced. It’s a large Victorian mansion that has been beautifully restored. Owners Susan and Chuck have been there several years, so they know a lot of local history as well as current goings-​on. They were friendly and seemed to be attentive to all of the guests. Dubuque is great too, lots to see and do.

Chuck and Susan made us feel right at home during our stay. BEAUTIFUL accommodations and delicious breakfast. Historic home and the owners are happy to share stories about the home and the antique furniture. The large front porch swing was a favorite place to sip morning coffee and a nightcap, the view is spectacular.
We highly recommend if you are traveling in the Dubuque area!

Charles and Susan are wonderful hosts. You feel so welcome just talking with them on the phone making reservations. And then when you arrive.
We really enjoyed our stay. The views of Dubuque from our room were great. The breakfasts were A+ and the conversation around the big breakfast table was great. We got to hear a lot of stories and and tips about Iowa.
A better bed would have jumped this to a five. Regardless, I’d happily recommend Hancock House and would happily return.

Excellent B&B in many respects. Location on bluff overlooking Dubuque is cool.
Home is charming and clean. Fabulous dining room. Owners are consumate pros. Well priced rooms.

Stayed here for an event we did at the Field of Dreams. The owners are wonderful! The rooms are well kept and the view of the river is beautiful. The porch was a great place for us to sit and enjoy the evening. Oh, and the breakfasts were fantastic!
