Best Buy

Typical USA Best Buy. Had a good discussion with Samsung guy who gave me some solid honest advice.

I enjoy Best Buy, what can I say?
This store was set up slightly different than others I had visited, but it was still easy enough to find products I wanted to look at or purchase.
The store was clean and well organized.
Associates were plentiful around the store and they never made me feel as if they were hovering around me or pressuring me. However, they were also not close by when I was ready to ask a question.
Check out was smooth and easy.

The staff here is very knowledgable and friendly compared to other Best Buys I’ve been to. I’ve purchased several high end items from them and have always received great advice. Also, at other Best Buys, I noticed that the employees try to B.S. you into buying warranties, because they get bonuses for selling them. At this location though, there have been a couple times where the employees have been straight-​forward with me and told me that getting a warranty isn’t really worth it. It’s nice to see that kind of honesty at a corporate chain

Decent prices and selection… but the «Bait and Switch» headquarters in Dubuque. everytime they have a great deal its not in stock or they try very hard to get you to buy something else. I bought a 42 in 1080P TV that they had on sale on their website and when I got to the store they ARGUED with me and tried to get me to buy and more expensive 720P set — trying to tell me it didn’t matter and nobody broadcasts in higher than 720P yada yada. I finally had to tell them either they get me the TV of my choice NOW or I was walking. Last Christmas they had a remote car starter on sale in the paper and of course when I got there there were none in stock… amd I was told how I really needed to buy the much higher priced ones… I made them order me the one I wanted and deliver UPS to my house. When the person I gave it to took it in to get installed they tried to sell them a bunch of undeeded stuff for it. They held firm and the unit works great, and was half the price of the units they were pushing

Got in and out fairly fast when I was in a bit of a rush. They had all of their selection for the items I was looking for easily accessible. I don’t like how the newer Best Buys have their check lanes set up though and just have one cashier because it can build up a line where the sign indicates for you to form a line very quickly during mini spurts of busy business. This store was slow enough though I got in and out fine.
