This place is fantastic! The Eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious… the homemade hollandaise was perfect and my eggs were cooked perfectly. I wanted to lick my plate to get all the hollandaise. Service was also very good! We’re just passing through, otherwise I’d make this a regular breakfast spot. If you’re passing through, don’t be reluctant to try this local gem!

It’s exactly what I look for in a diner. The staff is friendly. There is always a seat. You coffee is never empty… and they let you get ONE pancake instead of toast. Love this place. Side note: I’ve only ever been here for breakfast. It’s perfect. It’s good olé’ fashioned redneck breakfast. Not pretentious or misleading. The whiteboard has the specials. Puts some meat on your bones and gets you through your great day!

Average. Came here the day I was moving. A little overpriced and price doesn’t match quality, ALTHOUGH, the pancakes are HUGE!

Simple and good. Looks like a family diner from the outside and definitely feels that way inside too. It was the perfect place for a quick breakfast/lunch. I had a delicious bunless Mt. Diablo Burger with an over easy egg with a side salad. They don’t serve soup on the weekends but it is an option as your side on weekdays. Fries are extra. The runny egg dripping over the Jack cheese, avocado, red onions, tomatoes and lettuce was so yum!!! Steve had the Zac’s Special which was eggs with linguica. It was a decent size and he enjoyed it. The service is really friendly and the place is cozy with their brown booths. They probably know their regular customers by name, just the kind of breakfast place we like. Décor could’ve been better and the overall cleanliness.

Went to Zacs on a recommendation from a friend. Raves about their gravy. Great service. Very nice waitress. We ended up with a biscuits and gravy and the original eggs Benedict. The gravy is nothing to write home about. Good but not spectacular. The eggs Benedict I’d give them 5 stars on their own. Delish!!! With the potatoes it was a perfect meal. The décor is outdated and has a strange vibe. Maybe it’s the location of the place in the back of a strip mall. I’d eat there again for the eggs Benedict.

$ 40 for two people for breakfast is INSANE!!! They don’t know how to make an Omelet. They put everything on the outside of the egg hahaha !! They charge $ 2 for a splash of Hollandaise Sauce that was almost white in color!!! Not worth the price !! Plus tables feel dirty. Salt and Pepper shakers feel dirty. Won’t be back again«EVER» !!!

Whoa, talk about typical old-school truck driver kind of diner! If you dig this style(or lack there of), then this is the place for you. But trucker beware, there’s really is no room to park your semi. The location is somewhat hidden behind the roughage of a welding supply store and a soccer shop. So, lets start with a little comparison: ~ Black Bear Diner: Corporate, an upgraded version of Denny’s, large portions, log cabin themed, and a cool newspaper menu. I’m all about their blueberry pancakes too! ~ Denica’s: Somewhat of a bakery, yet known for their breakfast. Clean and simple plates. Traditional dining. Kinda pricey imo. Still love their cookies, just«eh» with their food. ~ Zac’s Café: It’s been here forever. They don’t have a website. Old tables, grimy walls, no flashy signs outside. It’s a typical old café with things that don’t match and has old maps of the way the Tri-Valley was. Apparently my coworkers that are local have been coming here for years. They enjoy the fact that this place is sorta hidden. Not well known to us Unilocalers hehe! As far as what I ate for lunch, I had the special on the white board. The Chicken Fried Chicken($ 11), or basically a pounded out chicken breast made like a chicken fried steak. It wasn’t too bad, but it also was nothing to rave about. It also came with toasted sour dough, 2 eggs, and hashbrowns. Not bad for the price. I personally would’ve rather had a Bigfoot CFS from BBD, oh well. But I think next time I’ll try one of their sandwiches or burgers instead. Service was fine, but I don’t know when I’ll be back. I do give second chances, but Zac’s won’t be high on my «must return» priority list.

Absolutely the best breakfast I’ve had in years. I don’t normally write reviews but great food and great service I had to let everyone know.

Lack of service is abismal. Walked out after 20 minutes of being completed neglected. Very disappointed. Would have liked to patronise this place because it’s very close to home but they really need to get their act together.

Love this place, it’s my go to place when I want to treat myself to a BIG breakfast… Hole in the wall feel. The servers are always friendly and attentive. You certainly get the value for your money. Portions are decent and food seems to be cooked to order.

First time here with the BF and we both really enjoyed our food. Just the right amount of food to fill us up and make us feel like we got our money’s worth. Will be back! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon crisp and meaty!

They are pretty dang good. Specially considering their competition is Carrows and IHOP… sheesh. Thank god for breakfast places like this. Just being a bit nit picky here but interior, while cozy, is very outdated and the Eggs Benedict sauce was more on the tart side than I have come to like. That being said if tyou live in Dublin or surrounding area I would recommend you give this place a try!

Rating going down today due to the fact it took over 30 minutes to get our food once we ordered. The food was great but they really need to work on service. They had a new girl(a cousin of the head waitress) that was not familiar with what to do. We almost had to encourage her to fill our glasses. We will go back again at some point but it may be a few weeks.

Husband And I came in for breakfast and ordered similar plates. Eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage. I had a patty and he had links, with a side of gravy. The food was great and came out quickly. The hashbrowns were really crispy and eggs were cooked perfectly. Sausage was good too. Service was nice and friendly. Another employee was on break and was sitting next to us eating. You know those girls who pull their thongs way up above their pants? Yeah, that was this girl, and she kept leaning forward and all you could see was underwear. A little unprofessional in front of customers, even if youre on break. We’d eat here again though. Really big parking lot out front so it was easy to find parking. And I loved the crispy hashbrowns. Next time hopefully they’ll come without the side of eye candy.

I’ve been going to the locksmith next door & I’ve always looked over to this place but never went it. Today, I had some time to kill so I went in. It is like a hole in the wall, I was the youngest one in there, sorta reminded me of a bar/café where there are a lot of regulars. The hours are somewhat unconventional, they open at 8am & close at 2pm. So I think they are more about the breakfast & lunch crowd. Not so much the dinner crowd. I grabbed the menu next to the cash register while I waitied & I was acknowledge almost immediately. The menu was most breakfast items with some sandwiches here & there. The only thing that was veggie-friendly was the omelette. I got the 3 stuffing omelette, mushrooms, zucchini & spinach with some cheddar cheese. With a fruit bowl side instead of the hash browns & sour dough bread. I got it to go & the waitress that was helping me(I think she’s the only one there) was so friendly & attentive. I told her I wanted it to go & she asked if I wanted anything to drink while I waited. She asked if i needed utensils or condiments before i left. So friendly :) Brought my food to work &OMG, my omelette was devoured. Sooooo yummy! The cheese was sooooo cheesy. Just the way I like it! The fruit looked fresh & tasted amazing. I will definitely be back for breakfast again. It’s so hidden, just give it a try!
