This bridge is not due to open till 2010 but you can still wander down to have a look at it, it is a remarkable piece of work. The bridge will be capable of rotating through an angle of 90 degrees between an open and closed position to facilitate maritime traffic. It just made it to Dublin in May of this year and work is on going. It was designed by world renowned architect, the Spaniard Santiago Calatrava. It is in honour obviously of one of our most famous writers, they came up with the naming on his birthday celebration in 2006 I believe. It really is an awesome sight, in the true meaning of the world awesome not The Hills type as in, ‘Oh my God your hair extensions are like so awesome. Not as awesome as my fake tits. I can balance my bullions of gold on them, that is like totally awesome. We are so awesome. Like so awesome, how many people in their early twenties live as awesome as we do? Like none. No squalor bedsits, goafer jobs or old clothes for us awesome bitches.‘ I read that they are making a Dublin version, what the hell?!
