This bridge is not due to open till 2010 but you can still wander down to have a look at it, it is a remarkable piece of work. The bridge will be capable of rotating through an angle of 90 degrees between an open and closed position to facilitate maritime traffic. It just made it to Dublin in May of this year and work is on going. It was designed by world renowned architect, the Spaniard Santiago Calatrava. It is in honour obviously of one of our most famous writers, they came up with the naming on his birthday celebration in 2006 I believe.
